UHHHHHH.... let's see.... let's see... is hard to choose since they all have their charms... AGHHHHH

Well maybe,... if i havent overlooked anything, in first place, Monica Raybrandt from Dark cloud 2... she really pwnz all, ohh also i really like Rosalyn of Okage xD she was so fun... and andd! Lilka from wild arms 2 :D, she was also fun, and i loved how she had a crush on Ashely xD ( the MC of WA2), too bad Ashely was already taken, but it just made everything cooler.

Well, after all i really like when there is romance in the games, also in books, i really like this kind of stuff :P

Mimana?  It's everything I detest.  I hate the characters, the dungeons are poorly designed, battles are cheap, too much grinding required, the music's forgettable, man virtually everything about that game is elephant poo.  My review says it all: http://www.rpgfan.com/reviews/Mimana_Iyar_Chronicle/index.html

grinding? i imagine you mean the random battles rate, because i didnt had to grind even once to beat the game, music was pretty weak i admit, there were some dungeons where there was no music at all, but well, i did like the graphics and the characters a lot, the voices of the characters were great as well.

And yeah, the times ive seen Cecilia were fun, but still, i havent felt a little of what i felt with mimana, i find levants story OK, but i still cant get... umm, interested? no.. more like the suspence of what could happen, and there havent been places where i feel like," omfg we are fucked up" (story-related), i dunno, i still dont feel THAT SOMETHING! i've found everything in levant's story too predictable, but i have my hopes up, i hope this changes soon i know there is still stuff to learn about everything.
19  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: 'Broken' or 'Tired' RPG gamelplay elements? on: June 07, 2010, 10:49:10 PM

I think SRPG elements like 'Which direction would you like to face?' and 'Are you sure?' are ridiculous. IMO after you are on your desired square you should be allowed to simply push the d-pad in the desired direction? - very Tired

You dont know how many times that has saved my life, sometimes i forget something or im just spamming X button and i just keep going, and sometimes this option saves my butt ._.

The only thing im tired and im sure 99% of the ppl out there is the random battles, if they HAVE to put random battles, i wish for a system like wild arms where you can avoid some battles, and of course avoid battles where the enemies are too weak for you to waste time (something other rpgs dont care about)
Monsters outside is the way to go

^ Yeah, the ammo box is much better paired with the machine gun, especially early on when you cant dual-wield them. And remember that your level is the combined level of your three weapon types, so you should switch them around between characters.
Oh i didnt knew that, though i will need to change the machine gun one at time (since i only have one), yeah ive noted the difference using the bullet case, but i can barely make some bullets, like 3 or 4, and money isnt something i "have a lot" on this game
21  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: FINAL FANTASY XIII on: June 07, 2010, 09:08:18 AM
Im loving the game, of course the only problem is the linear part of it, i always feel like going and going, and never stopping, but still... im liking the game with its characters, and the story was kinda dull and confusing at the beginning but now im getting the hang of it, and im liking it.
Oh and i just fought this (spoiler)

Code:
sanctum monk boss dude or w/e, where he transforms into a like big statue with the big face and etc,
this battle was pretty hard, and long, but at the end it was kinda
epic to win, i mean, surviving with lighting those attacks that hit everyone was like hell,
she always ended up in red life, and the curse he put on you when he is weak
(that cant be removed) was like,
OMGWTF IM ABOUT TO KILL YOU FINALLY AND THIS HAPPENS!?, but instead of thinking
i just put everyone to hit like crazy bitches, it was so cool when i won xD

Ok! got the game!, is pretty fun, but, now that im in chapter 4, i feel there is a freaking big gap between me and my enemies, i normally do the side quests before the main story, and one of these is killing some thugs, and i can barely kill one!, i cant even shoot without hero action because they always keep spamming shoots, and that's not all, those shoots make a lot of damage, this really frustrated me. Also i tried this after killing a tank that gives some "motor" for a sewing machine, and it took me like 4 tries, it was so freaking hard... Änd also,  i feel more inclined to FF13 xD, im liking the characters so far, and now that i can fully customize them, the battles are fun

Avoid Mimana Iyar Chronicles.  Game is a total ripoff with unlikeable characters I wanted to smash to death with cudgels then pee on their bodies as a final insult.  Worst game I played this year; I even liked Last Rebellion a LOT more and that game was heavily slammed too.

Hexyz is good.  Very charming game that I obviously enjoyed a lot.  Personally, I think it has what it takes to be the sleeper hit of 2010.

Umm, Mimana iyar chronicles has made me laught more than hexyz force though, the only problem in this game (mimana), in my opinion,  is the battles and of course the long maps without maps with the random battles, but i pretty much liked all the characters... and personally, i feel more of a "personality" from each character of mimana than from hexyz force (currently in levant's story), i dont know why....  but of course hexyz force is superior in all of the other aspects.

And this is just the DS games :P, yeah it will be hell to save up to get all the games, but im thankful to get so many games this year!
25  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Hexyz Force (PSP) on: May 27, 2010, 10:09:42 PM
Good thing psp games are released in psn, psn is really useful for those who doesn't live in the US D:
26  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Hexyz Force (PSP) on: May 27, 2010, 06:28:58 PM
Yeah!  Read my review.  Then I'll feel worthwhile:P

Was Hexyz Force the best RPG I've played thus far this year?  No.  Was Hexyz Force the most fun RPG I've played thus far this year?  Absolutely.  What paths are people doing?  I myself did Cecilia's path and did some of Levant's before starting my next RPGFan project.

I started out with Levant, i took like 10 minutes to choose between cecillia and him xD but ended up choosing him... im wondering who the spear user will be =o..., also i know there are multiple endings, but it mostly depends in this balance between destruction and creation, and this is what your answers change, then i imagine there are just 2 endings for each MC o.o
27  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Hexyz Force (PSP) on: May 27, 2010, 03:02:18 PM
Yeah, there are complaints about gamespot and this game in atlus's forums D:

Still this game is great, what else can i say? xD is STING, ATLUS quality, 100% buy for me :D i just wonder, because there are various endings, if i can make the 2 main characters end together >8D  even if levant (dude main character) already has a girl on him

And there is already a review of the game o.0 http://www.rpgfan.com/reviews/Hexyz_Force/index.html

You should post it up here
28  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Blue Dragon Awakened Shadow on: May 26, 2010, 10:23:50 PM
I'm interested in it. I seem to remember that the game had massive framerate problems. Is this bad enough to affect the gameplay, or was the person that wrote this nitpicky?

That person was nitpicky o.0, or his/her ds sucks? =o, i have now 10 hours, the only frame rate drop i ever had is, one time, is some boss battles, with big boss, and if all my party and me uses the shadow, and also, the boss uses a magic as well, all of us at the same time, and is a really small frame rate dropping level, i do sometimes feel a little slow once a boss battles start but it goes out pretty fast, i've played online and it's perfect .
Also, i've had like 4 enemies in the same screen (and sadly pwning me xD) and i didnt suffer any frame drop.

30  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Blue Dragon Awakened Shadow on: May 24, 2010, 11:46:25 PM
Lol, and now that i think about it, STING, even if they just have 3 games, the 3 are from different genre, and really different :P

Sting has way more than 3 games. However, the Dept. Heaven series specifically does count for radically changing gameplay between installments.

Woho! i never knew baroque was STING's lol xD that was pretty lame to miss, also donkapon kingdom o.0, and i knew knights of knightmare but  i  forgot about it D: *never played it*
