Mother fucker.

I ordered it last night.  No big deal.  I didn't want it asap anyway.

Weeeellllll, I logged in today just to see how things are going.  Logged out 5 minutes later and called best buy to see if I could change my order to 2 day shipping.  Fuck I hope I get it by this weekend or I'm going to have to make a special trip.

Some guildies did post some loot from bloodfire ramparts.  nice shit.  the two things I can remember were a druid staff with 26 str, agi, and stam wih a +150ish ap bonus in feral forms.  also a healer neck dropped that was almost on par with the neckpiece loatheb drops.

Yes it's an option.

I was saying that without the option it took half a battery to listen to music for most of the workday.

With the option it took 1/4th.

I'm sorry, but if you check the weather on your phone, then you're a retard. And you say they have the same average battery life, but I wonder how long that'll last when someone starts pumping the tunes from the iPhone. Along with all its features AND functionality as a phone, the battery life will drop like a rock.

My roommate has a chocolate and the battery life for that is fine.  He listens to music most of the day while at work and by the end of the day the charge is down to half.  If he puts it in music mode, which shuts off the phone part until you finish listening to music, the battery only goes down about 1/4th.

It's really not that bad.  If iPhone is any similar it shouldn't be a problem.

Maybe we should go over this again.

The Blackberry, Treo, and other such smartphones all cost around $350-$450, even with yearly contracts.

That's worth mentioning.  With a 2 year contract, the price could end up coming down a lot too.    $500/600 is probably the price if you just bought the phone outright.  They always overcharge when you buy a phone and you aren't renewing your contract.

I agree with your last paragraph too.

Need bumpage here and I don't see the need to make a new topic.

Anyway, I'm considering starting a new game in SD3. Which character would you say plays the best? Like, tightest controls, fastest, maybe?

Duran felt slow and clunky, but I liked his story a lot.

Hawk(eye) has the tightest controls and is definitely the fastest.  Probably the best melee character.

Kevin was also pretty decent with melee and fast too.

Angela was good with magic.

Never used Carlie.  Heard she was pretty good depending on what class you made her.

I forget how the Riesz/spear wielding girl is.

I want one....:P

No, seriously. I've heard something like 499 US for the 4GB and 599 US for 8 GB. Not sure how true that is, but if I had the money to spare...

That's what I read too.  Plenty of room unless you want to put Prince's discography on there or something.

The only drawback is the cingular-only plan. While I understand that cingular is a pretty huge network, I kind of wish more companies had access to it. It seems silly to limit the carrier -- though really, this could all change by the time the iPhone ships.

Look at the Razr or however they spell it.  It was originally cingular only and now it's verizon too.  I'm sure the iPhone will switch too.  I'm kinda happy that Cingular has it instead of Verizon.  Verizon tends to lock down features more so than Cingular and I don't want to use Verizon's services.

And I want one as well.  By the time my contract is up the price should have come down by then.  By then everyone will have one though =P

-Swedish or Finnish (I think Scandinavian languages are interesting)

Yeah, I wanna take both sometime. Shame the two have nothing in common beyond the odd loan word here and there.

Yeah I've heard that.  I knew some people from Finland and they told me that learning Swedish was a lot harder than learning English.

If you play a druid I don't think you'll be disappointed with the way things are now.

They're really powerful, there always has been a shortage of them, and both feral and restoration druids are wanted for end game in BC.

I always wanted to be a linguistics major.  I find languages fascinating.

I took 2 years of Spanish in highschool
3 years or so of Japanese in college.

I'd love to take:

Oh well, at least I can still do, what I supposed will be considered from here on out, "the old raids". I would still like to go through them all and get all three of the current tier sets. Not like they'll be worth a damn in BC, but who cares. At least I'll be able to say I did it.

Good luck finding people to do it.  It'd be such a time waste and a headache with the random loot table of MC and BWL.  Time spent doing it would be better served learning the Karazhan and 25 man encounters.  I know it's just for the hell of it and for the accomplishment, but it might be a bigger headache than what it's worth.

Also on average:
60-62/63 BC dungeon blues > Tier 1
63/64-67 BC dungeon blues > Tier 2
67-70 BC dungeon blues/epics > Tier 3

Also there's to mention the mysterious "Patchwerk hitting for 14k" in BC.  Not sure if that number is a hateful strike or not.  This could and most likely is a bug due to the ? level of the monster.  In past it's always been said that they are +3 levels of you / 63.  You'd assume they would stay that way or do they scale?  So far it's seems like they scale. That's what is showing so far.  I haven't looked that up in a long time but I'm assuming it's a bug or something intended to keep people testing the BC stuff and not old stuff.  Who knows if it'll be fixed/changed.

edit: looks like the scaling only applies to some of the bosses

edit2: apparently they changed the mitigation for BC and now it's changed to: armor/(armor + 782 + level*85 + 382.5*(level-60)) = mitigation.

Heard Patchwerk is/was hitting for 1k-2k higher now on live realms.  However I just saw a blue post saying there was a hotfix for it.  I don't know if it's for the live realms to take him back down to his old hits before the change in mitigation (back to 1k-2k less per hit).  As far as I know, this hasn't changed his damage output in BC yet; just live.  Not sure though.

Oh.. and I found this funny.  Fucking people need to learn to be more flexible.

"In other news... one of our priests quit the game tonight because he was so distraught over the changes. He had grown so hopelessly dependent on the mods that he simply could not function without clickheal, EM, auto-interrupt, and decursive. Personally, I'm delighted these changes went live, but I thought that people would find this interesting for academic purposes."

Final Fantasy VII bored me to tears because the dialogue didn't do a thing for me.  People keep telling me that I should get past disc one to get to "all the good stuff", but I really doubt the writing magically transforms in quality on the remaining discs, so it sits alongside Final Fantasy Tactics and Star Ocean 2, collecting dust.  Perhaps I'll give the games another chance someday, but in the meantime, there are plenty of other games to play that don't suffer from poor writing.

When I first read your post I thought you were just being picky (although the complaint is justified).

Then I took a moment and actually tried to remember Star Ocean 2's writing and I fully agree with you.  It was just too... lame for a better word.  There were a million "Claude/Rena......" lines and just general weirdness for a lack of a better word.

That was hilarious.  Thanks.

On that note, if I do play BC and end up raiding, I'll be looking forward to it.  Much more individual effort and things like retards should become more apparent.
