I really didn't notice it on the import, but they did an excellent job keeping load times minimal.  Even with a 2.2gb install, that's pretty impressive.  Was traversing through a dungeon and would quick travel back to town to turn in quests and load times were practically non-existent.

Also Elize and Teepo got a voice acting buff.  I was ready to cringe when she made her appearance, but her voice actor is much, much better than the Japanese voice (at least much less annoying).

I wonder how the voice actor who plays Milla feels about people thinking she has a lisp?  I don't get audio stuff, so I'll have to take people's word for it when they say it is LQ/some other tech issue.

Enjoying the game, but fack got spoiled tonight searching for a random stupid tidbit.  And not by Dice this time.  Maybe if I just drink a lot I'll just forget it?

Super Mario RPG

Yeah I could go for this too.  I actually somewhat know this one.  Lots of good stuff here.

- I'm in the first area and I switched the game to hard. I don't even feel a difference (in difficulty or reward)

I did it for a little bit in the import version and it just seemed like the enemies had a lot more health.  Granted, I only did it for a few battles.

When WoW undermined the sense of challenge for broader accessibility players developed a sense of entitlement for gear and the culture just went south.

This x100.  AHHMWGAWD I JUST DID 2 LFRS I PURPOSELY DIED IN ONE KEKEKE SO I COULD EAT A SAMMICH BUT SRSLY WHERES MY LEGENDARY???

I'm sure that makes me sound elitist, but I'm not.  I just think the appropriate amount of effort/difficulty should have an equally appropriate reward.  I'm all for making content viewable for everyone, but the effort should fit the reward.

I just want to stay positive and stay hyped for this game and am trying to reserve judgment for later when I play and see it for myself.

Thought i'd share a pretty on-point video that was reposted on the beta forums that pretty much succinctly sum up why SE needs to be careful with how far they go with accessibility and dumbing down content.

Loved it.  Limp dick version.. lmao.  That video is sad and very true.  LFR is so pitifully boring because it requires no knowledge nor effort to win.  In most cases, you can completely ignore the mechanics and still win.  Just show up, hit some buttons if you feel like it, and wait for the gear to be showered down upon you.  I don't know how it's defensible either.

You mean you had 700k left after you bought the stalks?  700k bells worth of stalks to 14mill bells doesn't add up with those numbers.

Oh man. These beta forums.
They somehow got worse.

I'm ashamed of my fellow English-speakers and the messages they're sending to the developers from any and all sides.

I'm sure at some point they probably just started ignoring it completely.  And then people wonder why they get ignored.

194 bells per stalk till 11pm EST 8/8/13 if anyone's interested.  I wish I didn't buy so timidly because I more than doubled my money.

Are you sure?  Most sites seem to be calling it official artwork.

Regardless the real news as far as I'm concerned is the loketests start on Friday.  Should start to see see some low quality gameplay videos start to popup soon.

Yeah, not a huge fan of some of the redesigns overall, but with how long some of the characters have been around and the new engine, I can see why they would want to try something a bit different.

As much as I love Millia, I really hate the hat.  Hopefully one of the alternates is her without it, but who knows too early to say.

Chipp's muscles look too big.  Perhaps it's just the artwork.

This game needs Jam, Dizzy, and Faust before I even consider it.

I don't have too much doubt in my mind that most/all of the old cast will be in it.

Regardless, I agree completely because:

Jam = awesome (even though her Japanese VA is hella annoying)
Dizzy = awesome
Faust = Do I need to say it?  Awesome.  I love his whacky playstyle.

I've always been a pretty big fan of Shopping Penguin.

As soon as I saw that, I figured that had to be in Japan.  Didn't take long to confirm that ^_^.  Funny though.

Is 'Dice' one of these names because Dice is a good name?

What if he named Sarah, Dice?

And yeah Reimi was pretty fun to play as.  When it comes to skill chains, she gots le damage in spades.

When I get back to Korea I'll send you my PSN ID.

I'll be pretty rusty so you'll have a good chance against me!

Aeolus - I've done a little bit of Tephra Caves - and got my ass kicked by level 97 spiders. I've got about 20 levels to go.

I might check out Colony 9 and Bionis' Leg now though, thanks.

C'mon man.  Tekken is Korea's favorite fighting game.  You should be awesome at it by now!

And yeah, Tephra cave is ridiculous as far as enemy levels go, but he's right it does have some nice crystal deposits.  I kinda wonder if Tephra Caves is for New Game+.  Seems like it to me given the level discrepancy.

Isn't an 8.0 on IGN like a 9.8 from an actual RPG fan review?  I just read their end of review summary since I got the chance to play around 15-20 hours of the import and the summary part sounded fine at least to me for an IGN review.  I do disagree about the graphics though.  I think the graphics are pretty damn great if you like the art style.  They don't feel outdated to me.
