2236  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Sting and Idea Factory performs the Fu-Sion-Ha dance and becomes Super Sting on: May 25, 2012, 03:48:25 AM
A whole twelve minutes of gameplay here.  It's going through a complete stage.

Honestly I wasn't too excited about this game at first, but I really enjoyed that clip.  Feels very Sting.
2237  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Megami Tensei Topic on: May 24, 2012, 08:25:31 PM
I don't like the animation or the music...but I don't buy games for their openings.
2238  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Kingdoms of Amalur on: May 24, 2012, 05:00:35 PM
This is really sad.  I enjoyed KoA and thought that the Amalur world had potential (though to be honest KoA didn't use it well...it was mostly fun for the combat).  But the amount of money they apparently have been pouring into this unreleased MMORPG is nuts...and now Big Huge Games is going down with the ship.
2239  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: Shadow of the Colossus... movie?! on: May 24, 2012, 01:02:30 AM
Well, it would at the very least be better that Battleship.

This should not be the standard for anything.

It's seriously the latter.  Consider your mind blown.

The top comment on that video is right:  Kill it with fire!

2242  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: 10 things Japanese people hate about JRPGs on: May 23, 2012, 01:31:33 AM
Ugh, I remember thinking this article was asinine when I saw it on Crunchyroll...why are we talking about it here?

Which is not to say that there aren't problems with JRPGs but it's not a good list.
2243  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: New X-COM game that's (*gasp*) a strategy game! on: May 22, 2012, 11:05:50 AM
It's got a release date!  October 9th.  I'm kind of surprised by how fast it's been since this game was announced.
2244  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Games that are like RPGs but are not on: May 21, 2012, 05:27:42 PM
The Yakuza games are 100% RPGs as far as I'm concerned.  I know Sega doesn't market them as such, but they are.  I mean come on, you have leveling up, new skills and abilities, weapons, armor, items, exploration, side quests, random encounters...come on.  What more do you want?
2245  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Gust announces new Atelier game: Atelier Meruru on: May 21, 2012, 12:43:01 PM
There already is an Ayesha topic.  Shame on you, Dice ;)
2246  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: disappointed of new generation rpgs..... on: May 18, 2012, 03:09:37 AM
And play Valkyria Chronicles.  OK, it's definitely anime-style but it's not trying to be cute.
2247  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: What's the haps? on: May 17, 2012, 08:19:02 PM
I decided to take up powerbocking for some reason.

WTF is powerbocking, you ask?  It's what the folks in this video are doing.  Though I imagine in my case there's going to be a lot more falling down and injuring myself.
2248  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Nomura: "New titles take priority over Final Fantasy VII Remake" on: May 17, 2012, 01:25:35 AM
Instead of 'trying to make new games match/top VII' how about they just, I don't know, worry about generally making a 'great' game 'by modern standards' for a change?

They did, it's called Type-0.  Crikey that game needs to be localized...
2249  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Game-opinions no one else agrees with. on: May 16, 2012, 04:22:45 PM
I've never really liked any of Blizzard's games.
2250  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Naughty Dog's The Last of Us on: May 16, 2012, 12:49:53 PM
New trailer.  This one seems to focus on the humans-fighting-humans aspect.
