Sitting in benches that look just like part of the scenery.  They don't exactly stick out.  And I believe you have to be with Yorda as well.  Can't save if you're by yourself.

I know it's what the title of the youtube video says, but how is that song rap?

So I have SotC but I had never played Ico before which is part of why I wanted this collection.  If I can just say one thing:  Ico seriously needs to tell the player how to save.  Sure it's fine once you know what to do, but I didn't find it even remotely intuitive (had to look it up, in fact...this is after I accidentally jumped off a cliff and lost a bunch of progress).  I realize that not explaining things is sort of the game's style, but this is a basic gameplay mechanic.  I can't think of a single other game that has a saving mechanic that's so obtuse.

I'm not planning on getting Skyrim either and I am getting Totori, though I never really thought of it as being 'in place of'.  I'm just not in the mood for a Bethesda game.  From what I've seen of Skyrim it's just more of the same thing they've been doing since Daggerfall.  I guess some people love that formula but frankly I'm getting sick of it.

Everyone that loves Uncharted 2 needs to see The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor. I already knew Uncharted was super duper ripping off Indiana Jones, but this was a bit too much.

Your point being?  I haven't heard anyone praising Uncharted 2 for its originality.

Got an email from NISA saying that there was some manufacturing issue and they don't expect to start shipping orders out until the 29th (the game is supposed to be out the 27th).  This is for my preorder from the NISA store.  I'm not sure if this affects retail copies.

Oh well, gives me time to play the Team Ico collection.

I personally felt that Uncharted 2 was tons better than the first.  Sure there weren't really any big changes, but there were so many subtle improvements that everything just felt better, particularly with regard to the pacing of the game.

But why are we talking about Uncharted in a Deus Ex thread?

My copy is on its way!

Well...

Code:
Depending on what you did earlier, many of your augs (including the typhoon) are not available for the third boss fight, which can make it a bit of a pain.

I do think the first was the hardest, though.  I was rather unprepared for it.  Of course, later on I read somewhere that you can just take him out with the stun gun.  It stuns him long enough that you have time to reload and after like ten shots he's down.  If I replay the game I'll give that a shot.

Are we talking Uncharted, or Deus Ex here?

Code:
Though the Deus Ex "zombies" are some of the funniest shit I've ever seen. Were they TRYING to be scary? Cuz it was just a bunch of goofy guys running around wimpering, crying, and banging into things! Fuckin' hillarious!

Back to Deus Ex, I guess.

Code:
I was [i]never[/i] under the impression that the 'zombies' in Deus Ex were supposed to be scary.  They were people who were driven insane and they acted like people who were insane.  If anything you were supposed to have sympathy for them.

They were a pain in the ass for stealth, though.  Too many eyes.  Made me feel kind of bad after I got spotted and had to mow them down with my heavy rifle...they didn't stand a chance.

So Japan hates Chrono Cross? I figured.

I have no idea how you arrived at that conclusion.

I was looking around for reviews of Totori and the first one I found was this.  People complain about IGN reviews, but at least they're grammatically correct.  That was painful to read.  How can anyone look at that thing and think it was suitable for publication?

Didn't the rest of us know this months ago?
2549  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception on: September 25, 2011, 03:04:00 AM
Having fun with the first game, but man, I canNOT un-hear Desmond Miles (Assassin's Creed) for the life of me whenever Drake speaks. Thanks a lot, Nolan North.

I have the same problem, but backwards.

Yeah, I've always thought of Drake as Nolan North's most iconic role.

If they have a press conference and it DOESN'T start with that dude that looked like Gordon Freeman breakdancing way the fuck out to Beastie Boys - The Sounds of Science, then fuck physics.

That's fair.
