Wow, perfect timing. New heroine is cute. It's kind of comforting to know that we can expect an annual Atelier game at this point.

Hey, look, a review.

I suspect most of you have either gotten the game or made your decision about it already, but for the few people still waiting (like you, Royal), perhaps my review will ease that pain a tiny bit. :D

^ What he means to say is The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky. Super charming old-school JRPG with really strong characters and an incredibly "alive" world. The full story spans over three games, and continues into a number of pseudo-sequels as well. Unfortunately, only the first chapter has been released in North America, and we haven't heard word about the rest, but chances are we've gotta get them in some form eventually. (Note: I am being ridiculously optimistic, haha.)

I also recommend Ys SEVEN and Ys: The Oath in Felghana, the latter moreso than the former. They're both great action RPGs, but if that's not up your alley, Trails is a safe bet for a turn-based RPG.

I'm going to be there at launch so Embryon and I can be a Tango and Cash style crime-fighting duo.

I am so behind this.

Correct, it's under NDA, which will be lifted at the start of Beta phase 3, which is probably about two months away.

I'll be providing screenshots and impressions at that time. :)

Sweet, I had this on my Wish List, but I had forgotten about it. Thanks for the heads-up! I'm downloading it now.

Besides, Milla's backstory is she's really the great maxwell spirit. She's lived in semi isolation all her life, and only came out to deal with matter involving the lesser spirits. She's supposed to evolve as the game progresses.

Isn't that... kind of a spoiler...?

I'm still in Labyrinth 2. Progress is a lot slower than I expected, but I refuse to switch to Casual. I refuse! I look forward to unlocking Arcanist. I'm probably going to replace my Medic because I find them overly specialized. A Dancer and an Arcanist should cover my bases, aside from revival. Guess I'll need to stock up on Nectar.

I also want to rest half of my party and re-allocate my skills, which I should've seen coming. I get so stressed out when it comes time to spend skill points!

To say I'm excited would be an understatement. I literally jumped out of my chair and yelled, "YES!" when I read the localization announcement. I just wish it wasn't so far away, haha!

I've heard far worse. I don't know why they cast Ayesha with such a ditzy voice, but for the most part, it's just the script that sucks. "Hyah, he's so tall?" Really? :/ The voices are okay, in my opinion, they just needed better writers.

At least we don't have another Arc Rise Fantasia on our hands.

I got the game today and I'll have a review of it up... eventually. I really like it so far, though! It's quaint and a little less bubblegum-y. A refreshing change from the Arland series (which I also loved).

So I beat this over the weekend, and I'm really impressed by the sheer number of possibilities in dialogue based on who you pair together. I paired my female avatar with Chrom, which seems like the most "canon" route to go, but I'm curious as to how several scenes would've gone if I had paired people differently, like:

- What if my avatar wasn't Lucina's mother? How would she have spoken to me during the scene where she tried to kill me?
- How would Chrom have reacted to the idea that I might have to sacrifice myself to seal Grima away?
- How would the cutscene following Gangrel's defeat transpired if Chrom was paired with someone else? Or not paired with anyone at all?
- Morgan is the Avatar's child, right? It's unusual that the female avatar has two children when paired with Chrom.

They could've said, "fuck you guys, you get nothing," but at least they're making the other half of Persona 2 more accessible to fans. It's better than no release whatsoever.

On another note, I really should try to play P2 one of these days. I only made it a couple of hours into IS, but found it kind of archaic. At least it isn't P1, though... I honestly can't stand that game, as much as I want to love it. Cool music, at least.

Got a 4754 running 1920x1080 at High.

I'm good with this.

I'm jealous of everyone who is getting in the beta on Monday. Derek, I expect live tweeting while I'm at work.

Dat NDA, br0. I wish I could.

Wow, my score is pretty pitiful compared to all of yours! Haha. I tried running it again on Maximum and got 3252 on 1680x1050 resolution. For what it's worth, the framerate is steady, and I didn't get any skipping whatsoever. I'm satisfied.
