I showed this to Yoda.  I *wanted* to post something stupid/clever.  But, because it is WAAAAY to convincing, I didn't think it'd be a good idea on a public forum.

You get Scar Jo instead... (b'd, i'd, u'd, sized and colored red for Yoda's sake).

I'll let someone else post whatever smart-asseries for this title.

I "admired" the dungeon naming scheme.  The Fire Temple was the Earth Temple *snicker*.  The Skyview Temple, despite hardly any proper view of the sky, subbed as the Forest Temple. xD

One thing I loved this time around was the dungeon key bit.  Just a fun, final puzzle.  And I thought Klok...kalok...Koloktos[?] was the best boss the series has seen in a while.  Design was amazing ('spesh when he is holding all 6 swords up), he was pretty tough, and can be taken out in an extremely unique way (not with the master sword, but with... his... D: ).  And I did think the Ancient Cistern was one of the coolest looking dungeons in a long time.
(Hey, look, Aeolous, I'm complimenting!)

Given the first game had the completely white-guy name, "Alex", I wonder if naming the hero "Hiro" was them being punny.... x(

Complaining about complaining! D:
Funny stuff. x)

I'm reading for School...

- A Textbook of "Adult Development & Aging"; AKA, a course on old people and how they whither/get mistreated and how to look on the other, brighter side or fix their oldness with science.
- Cognitive Psych, it's less convoluted and not done over 2 columns, with few pictures.  It's also nice to have a psych text less than 500-600 pages. :D
- Medieval Art text, also follows with an Islamic Art book.  Kind of excited for this one.  Should be tough, but interesting.
- Visual Studies.  Different from art history in it's pretentiousness.  Y'know, one of those courses about the greater meaning of what we see in media forms

I do remember enjoying the character back stories quite a bit, and yeah, usually the show knows how to throw a good twist or two in.  But even when I did play this as a kid (I think I was 12/13 at the time), I found being a "dragonmaster" was so kiddish and "pokemon-y", haha
6023  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: The Kingdom Hearts series plot, summed up in one Google Doc on: January 05, 2012, 01:17:21 AM
The series, theme-wise, is aimed at teens and prepubescents who don't know the difference between 'complex and deep' with 'fucking retarded' yet.

Perfectly explains everything.

I agree completely, Eusis. And Aeolus, you are coming across as a ridiculous fanboy. Seriously, "the most solid ZELDA!!! console title in the last decade"

Fixed!

I was referring to the Zelda series in particular. Not console games on the whole. Christ where did you get that assumption? It's like you didn't even read the other half of my post. You think I would be stupid enough to make that kind of generalized remark, or do you think I need to include a forced tutorial segment in all my posts from now on?

You can't yell at him for his inability to understand your lack of clarity.  And your post-fix does nothing. =/

Quote
Frankly I still feel that it's the most solid console title released in the last decade.
*shrug*

Whatever.  Make an ACTUAL post about WHY you think the game "is all that".  You've done a lot of complaining to any opinion contrary, except provide you own. :)

Vaguely coming off the "decade" stuff, this decade just started, if I had to pick, SS ranks low.  Hope remaining decade is better.  Wii-U Zelda looks purdy.  Want less motion gimmickry.

Meh.

6-7/10.  Too "classic" for my tastes (you may notice I post in real-time combat threads more).  I did dig it when I played.  But, like the TC, I couldn't tell you plot deets for the life of me.

You guys are so, like, punk rock!! x<

Been listening to lots of club stuff.  Like, good shit.  Black Eyed Peas can rot in hell.  Speaking of rot, I think Fergies face slowly is.

Dice showed me her goods so I showed her the money. Had a really good time. Would do again.

I feel no better about it than when I was "especially nice" to a table for tips.  I was just waiting for some guy to be all, "You want a tip??  I'll give you the whooole thing".
6028  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Lunar 2 Eternal Blue on: January 05, 2012, 12:21:03 AM
Some wet-behind-the-ears hero and a naked blue woman go off to save the world from a villain who wasn't beaten hard enough the first time, and are joined by a ragtag motley crew, that parallels Lunar SSS's cast, as they meddle in each other's problems.

My 2011 was so phenomenally uneventful that I have a hard time describing it as good or bad.  It just was.

Even with one sentence and picture explanations it was confusing. Whoever is writing the story to these games (is it Nomura?) clearly got his calling wrong.

Sure as hell clears up a lot of confusion. Thank you, it fdefinitely warrants a topic of it's own.

Its - Possessive of it
It's - Contraction of it is
Its' - Not a real word

Before you use "it's" replace it with "it is" and ask yourself "does this sentence make sense?"

I typed that on my phone.  Grammar wasn't my priority before getting my stupid phone to type right, hence the unbothered-with "fdefinitely". :D

But thanks. :P

EDIT: iPhone's, the "smart phone" they are, automatically put an apostrophe in "its/it's" whether you want to or not.  It's not worth the effort to fix all the time...   Even when you try to type "hell", it assumed "he'll".
