I'd have put this in "Today's News", but I want a few opinions on this.  How y'all feel about this?

Kung Pow: Enter the Fist

Not really guilty pleasure, since I give no fuck who knows I watch it all the time. I love the movie, and now have a vhs, a dvd, a digital copy, and now a dvr copy of it.

THAT'S A LOT OF COPIES.

OWEEOWEEOWEEOWEEE

Oh man, I lose my shit with that movie, none of the peeps on my circle liked it.
Loved when the evil society speaks or sings french or whatever. x)

Yikes.  Waiting for price drop... or splitting cost with brother.

How is UHF a guilty pleasure?  UHF is just good!  I feel no guilt!

Kev makes a good point....
6080  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Bayonetta 2....... on: September 13, 2012, 02:21:20 PM
I'm glad the line-up got better, even if it is releasing a bunch of games that will have already been out for at least over a month.  But hey.  I'm glad it's gotten better.

Bayonetta IS awesome, but not the big sell to convince me to buy a Wii-U right now.  I'm waiting for the right game.

UHF, a movie much better watched clips at a time.

Oh, oh oh! I remembered one.

The animated Anastasia film.

I want a guilty pleasure movie night wit both yallz on these two.

Labyrinth

And this one.  I dunno what it is, a young Jen Connely (who, nevermind, has aged like a champ) or David Bowie in pants tight enough to see his rock star junk... but yeah, cool movie.

Never ending story though... that fucken horse scene stained my childhood.

Hansel and Gretel
Dunno if this is allowed or not, but apparently it had no form of distribution outside of a few countries, so edit this link out if not:

This seems to get compared to Pan's Labyrinth fairly often, and some parts of it do remind me of that, but it makes me think mostly of the Shining with its psychological creepiness/horror.
For some reason, I expected a really surprising or climactic end but I think its climax may have happened slightly too early.
Though up until that point, it really kept me interested.
I reallyreallyreallyreally recommend it for anyone that likes dark fairy tale stuff or just creepy movies in general.

...dunno if the person who wrote that wiki page is a native speaker:

Quote
"Lee Eun-soo: the protagonist of the story. He accidentally got into their house. He wanted to get out, even in every situations. But finally he told the children how much he love them and he wanted to stay, but his girlfriend needed him. So he went back, and was still thinking of the children. He made clippings of newspapers about the disappearance of Byun (he did this in the ending) and still figuring out why he still thinks of the children, but finally was relieved that they're living happily."

I think 98% of the regulars here are fantastic.
I wish they'd all post more.

I would, but I'm having fun irl.

Also, waiting for TGS.

During school weekdays, this place is my "fun". =(

I tried to get a 3way with Dice and Starmongoose going but nothing doing.

One between Yodes and I just wouldn't feel natural... we need a Mongoosey to balance it out.

I've asked you like 100 times what you take for "headache meds" but you've never answered

Some sort of Butipital-barbituate, Codeine (?), and Caffeine mix.
It's making me feel hyper and like a tiny gremlin is in my stomach. And dizzy.
6088  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: What's the haps? on: September 12, 2012, 08:14:58 PM
what i simply meant  was i used to feel like there were several people  here i shared many opinions with. years and a couple board wipes later i feel like there are none now.

So?  My best friend and I hardly agree on a damn thing, but because of that, our conversations and debates are always fresh and long.
Maybe just post around, care a lil' less about that, have a little fun and you'll find something to share with others. =)

Haps: My headache meds have me stoned like mad. I'm always stretching.

I wish they'd all post more.  There's a lot of fantastic stuff to talk about, we get pretty whack in most places.  Just slip in, we're open to respond.

Haps: My current Prof looks like Paul Rudd.  I think I'm having a teacher crush.  <3
