Holy fucking Dexter episode.  After a pretty weak and predictable 5th and 6th season (despite good ideas), the show managed a really successful reinvention of itself.  Yes, it is based on that zinger of an season finale episode from Winter of last year.

I was starting to miss 32-bit jaggy boobs.

.... POINT!!

Shinsekai Yori.

Dice is finally impressed with a new anime; only took about two years, maybe more.
Apparently it features a time skip some point in, the show starts with the characters at 12, finishes with them at 21 -- I love time skips like that, they can make for an interesting literary device.

But anyways.
EP01: Bizarre, lots of cuts that I don't think were supposed to make complete sense.  Clearly the school is for... demi-gods to learn their powers ...or something??  But its got a few skeletons in the closet that I'm sure will blossom into beautiful spoilers by the show's end.

I'm NOT fond of the art style, the eyes are big, even by anime standards.

However, on an interesting note, and something that really can't be said of many anime, the editing and directing was actually quite brilliant -- a particular moment at the end really stuck out.

I recommend it, at the very least to hear what you all think.

Uhoh.  Eat while you can, that stuff is gonna become a delicacy only for the rich and famous!!!

I'm one of the few people I know that thinks bacon is just okay. I don't hate, but I don't love it. Sometimes it's a bit too greasy for me. Because of this, I'm not too distraught over the looming bacpocalypse

Beef, Chicken > Pork

I agree, the true issue will be if either of the first two are in the news for the same reason

I turned it off 30 seconds in.

Even if I acted in that, I wouldn't tell anybody.

Looks like it will suffer some serious sequelitis -- chance of mentioning "you're gonna poke your eye out joke?  98%.

Geez... I'm so sorry.  Pets are innocent, even if they can't communicate, usually actions with them speak louder than words.  With a person, sometimes we get times where we question if they're "really our friend" or if they "really like you" or whatever; with pets, it's clear as day, they can't hide it.

I hope you don't stay too upset about this for too long.  I'm sure kit is in a better place or at least at peace and without pain.  And maybe somewhere down the line, another cat will be so lucky to have a great owner (and there are good and bad owners, the fact you were willing to go so far for Clive definitely puts you as the former).
6127  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Suikoden 6, Breath of Fire 6, and Wild Arms 6... on: September 30, 2012, 02:03:51 AM
I'd rub Breath of Fire 6 against my boobs if they ever made it and I held a physical copy in my hands.

Suiko 6 too, and just so they can finish whatever the fuck was up with Yuber and Viki to some extent.

Wild Arms 6 might be a harder sell, but you don't see puzzle-based RPGs anymore, and Red Dead was the last we saw of a Western "RPG" (i.e.; sandbox)

It really seems that we are never getting this now, a shame because most of the impressions I've seen around are positives.

Now if SE has problems to bring Bravely Default... ;_;

If both aren't announced then I will let people say JRPGs are dead (I know they aren't, but Type-0 got stellar reviews and Bravely Default, unless their marketing team can sell ice to Eskimos and sand to Egyptians, looks like an amazing title.

I think it brings up a good point about licensing music -- but I could see them working around that even if hiring new talent, maybe not Oasis, but someone lesser known (and costs less $$$)

More Kirby Return to Dreamland.

Wow!!  You beat all 5 worlds and it then just opens up the whole game again.  One thing I admire about the series is its knack to make some pretty creepy bosses (even contrast to the fact you're playing through bubblegum, rainbow, sunshine levels that were taken from a kid's dream world).

Case in point: Zero2

MUTHAFUCKA IS CRYING BLOOD AND IS SOME SORTA ANTI-ANGEL.  Nightmare fuel....

Funny enough, abilities I hate taking on tend to be awesome for bosses.  Hi-Jump is crap unless the game throws it on you, Tornado is too unpredictable, and Stone too slow.  But come boss battles, I find they work the best.

This dude looks like a lot like Doomtrain from FFVIII.

But can you suplex this train?

And then Sabin holds up a house later.  Time to really question who's a bigger man: Sabin, or boulder punching Chris Redfield.

Almost ridiculous this game is going with an "FF" in the title...  Fuck.  Fuck fuck fuck.  I WANT THIS SHIT

Imma just start calling Dance Dance Revolution as East Germany. It makes sense to me.

I'M NOT GAY BUT SOMETIMES I LIKE NAKED MEN.

Pretty much always... feel like time isn't linear, around this time of year.

I worked from home yesterday and was a lot more productive than in the office.

Your caps reminds me of that one like in Brokeback Mountain, where after their immediate and passionate [homosexual] love making, Heath Ledger leaves the tent they did it in and beautifully responds, "I ain't queer!!!" and convincing no one.  Good movie, but I hated that line...

But it's sort of accurate to how people react. I was kinda known for preying on the sexually confused in High School (don't judge me -.-), and pretty much all of them had a moment like that.

I can only imagine what that's going against the grain like that -- can't be easy I guess. =(

And (Tunnels), thanks for that, I actually feel better and more confident in my bullshitting. =)

In a similar but different vein of your conundrum, I hate Augusts, I get weird seasonal affective disorder in that lump of time at the end of summer (as opposed to mid-winter).  And every so often I get hit with such a nasty case of "what the hell am I doing with my life" and other self-loathing/feeling-sorry-for-myself thinking that I just lie face forward and curied in the cushions of my couch, butt up.

I'm currently writing a 1,500 word paper.  Which isn't much, but the topic is ludicrous that it's going to be 500 good and honest words, and the rest pure BS.
