Watched Sherlock Holmes 2.... I loved every minute of it. x)

I just can't get myself to have any interest in these movies. The whole Sherlock Holmes as an action/adventure hero really turns me off. Plus, I can't stand RDjr doing an English accent. I'd rather have a true Englishman doing it. I really need to watch the new Holmes tv show.

For what it was worth, I love the wit.  RDJ does a great Sherlock and the action isn't that big a component of the overall scheme of things.  I think they hit a better mark with the second film anyway, one of the rare cases where the second flick impressed me more than the first.

I think is better to say that the soundtrack was well made but not all that memorable, that I can believe. And aside from the graphics it was the second best thing from the game (even if not every single track was amazing or anything).

I could never love a soundtrack as a whole for most games.  Maybe... 2?  Maybe 2 games have done that for me.  If only a few songs are good, perfect.  I thought that's what the point of iTunes was too.

Well, personally, maybe not the most memorable, but some of the tracks did that well enough for me to be quite memorable.  Saber's Edge, Ragnarok, the main battle theme, Dust to Dust, the Eidolon battle, Lake Bresha, the Yaschis Massif [sp?, it was a perky swingy/jazzy tune], and a number of the character themes were really nice, and some enough to make it to my iPod for some nice [lyric-less] listening. :D

Corrupt/crap government is a deep-ass root.  I don't think the death of one bad seed will be the end of the shit in Korea.

Whatever, I'll just leave this here.

I have much the same problem with the music as with the rest of FFXIII's crapshow: It's overwrought, unremarkable fluff. With some exceptionally poor choices thrown in to boot. The whole thing (so far) sounds like the composer is either grasping at straws or listening to executive meddling. "Quickly! That kind of song will be popular with demographic A! Also throw in something for demographic B! Also this was popular in 1997 in America, make sure it gets in!"

Blah.

Saber's Edge was fucking baller.
I loved Dust to Dust as well.  I had no issues with the soundtrack.  I think your hate is seeping to other parts of the game. :P

Few OSTs have every track made and lined with gold.

Nier and FFXIII-2 have saved an otherwise unimpressive RPG generation for me. The fact that the Shadow Hearts team is no more really soured any potential this gen had.

Would you vouch for FFXIII-2 being a good game to someone who disliked FFXIII?

Actually, unanimous reaction seems to be in favor of that.  Not that FF13-1 set a high bar in anything other than graphics.

Sidekick + Demension Door fucked up Sphere 221 (or whatever digits).

My brother wrote me a rock song.  Well, he wrote me a rock song written in a melody of how I hear rock song.  It's horrible sounding, with double kick, lots of the same note, and an occasional flute.... and amazing all for it. x)

That last one is awesome Dice.

I have a Alpha Protocol shirt my friend gave me. It has a blueprint drawing of a gun on the front with all sorts of attachments like silencers or magazines on them that say shit like +1 "whatever" I wear that one to the gym or the bed or the couch.

I have a threadless t-shirt:

But I got it in "medium" but it came in "hipster medium" which means small.

I threw it away I think

That Chozoglyph shirt is beyond awesome.  It's creative and beautifully coloured.  It's a nice site too, great stuff.  But sometimes their stuff "avoids copyright" too much and the references work only on fans essentially.  Some of the stuff has the "American ugly" cartoon style to make it a bit more swanky (again, probably to avoid copyright).

I'm an American Eagle small and an Aeropostale Medium or even Large (!!) sometimes.  wtf.
I hate the lack of standardization in clothes.
My dad got me a hoodie from Penn State... I said to get me a Medium because I wanted that "I'm studying comfort" and didn't want it to be tight... that stupid thing fits like an adult t-shirt on a child.

Is there one Enix game where magic doesn't suck endgame compared to physical?

Valk Pro a bit, I guess.  But for the most part...

Another thing I loved is seeing Moogle by your side all the time saying "kupo" at the end of every sentence.

I'd say I like that except for how "Japanese" that is. x(
Fucking Vesperia.... nanoja.....nanoja... NANOJA... NANOJA NANOJANANOJA. Dicey KICK!

Also, I don't like how the Moogle looks like it got transplanted from a cartoon, leave it to Japanese where even in something that looks like non-anime models to get a "cute thing".  I would have loved to see another take on the moogle to look somewhat real.  Ah well.. it's a cutie anyhow I guess.

The two battle suits I'm guessing you're thinking of aren't worth the trouble. They require recruiting Ernest and seeing a Private Action that will put you back on the ship so you can go rob those two dudes with the battle suits. I did get them on one playthrough, but I ended up not finishing that playthrough. I forget why. I did something irreversibly game breaking I think. In any case, I had a better time just getting Opera without Ernest.

Also, who WOULDN'T get Bowman. Dude was all like "POISON PILL!" and shit. And it sure beat the hell out of Precis' annoying high pitched voice. Though she is pretty awesome as well. I think this is why Star Ocean 2 is so great. Outside of maybe Noel and Ernest, all the characters have good enough pros to warrant playing through the game a few times to try them all out.

And yes, it's got a hell of a lot of charm.

Charm works... well, like a goddamn charm for it's amount of charm.  And I'll always love it for that.
S'cuse me for the bitching, but man it makes me shake my head.

I find any Magic user in those types of games are pretty useless.  Especially by the end... Celine/Leon can only one-hit for 9999 and in the time it takes to cast, melee fighters have already done ten-times as much.  Rena was awesome, but I've heard a lot sub her healing for Opera's Healing Star doing amazingly well at max proficiency.

I own these two:

I love 'em... but bein' all girly, I usually only wear these to bed.  I have a Kirby shirt and a Zelda one (just the triforce-eagle thing).

Who cares.  He listed pretty much every jRPG out and coming...

Can somebody who disagrees with me actually respond to what I wrote?  I feel like a lot of people are just throwing up their hands saying there are no good console JRPGs without actually looking.  I just listed 6 quality console titles that out to all be out in 2012: Tales of Graces f, Atelier Meruru, Xenoblade Chronicles, FFXIII-2 (though admittedly I'm still a little skeptical on that one), Ni no Kuni, and The Last Story.

I disagreed, and while I'm not exactly dead serious about the subject, with a tendency to somewhat inflate the issue beyond its actual scale, there is one thing worth pointing out about your argument:
Because most of the "good jRPGs" you named aren't even out yet, any one of them may very well turn out to be a dud. There's a big gap between "promising" and "good".

?!  The original question was about upcoming JRPGs, so I answered with upcoming JRPGs...now I get criticized for naming games that aren't out yet.

That's it, I quit...

Given the drought, I don't blame you.
