Yikes 7 years.  Does Canada handle student loans differently than the US?  Here, 7 years of post-secondary school would put people majorly in debt after they graduate unless it was something really cheap like a community college or you got in for cheap due to relatives working at the school.

I don't know how to compare... though I've heard schooling in the States costs a ridiculous sum (I don't think Canada has a proper "ivy league"-like school to charge those kind of costs).  My family (bless 'em) and I have been pretty diligent about paying my way through school without help: College was over $3000 per year and University has been about $5000 per year (actually, I hear Quebec pays a lot less and still protests, clearly Ontarians are pussies; and back in the 1990's our fees were only around the $1000 mark!!!).
...but I'm really hoping to have the competitive edge with a diploma and degree (actually, after I graduate I'll proudly be the BEST EDUCATED person at my store!! :D )

Only in my last two years will I need to rely on government funding (ie; DEBT): We gotta pay interest 6 months *after* graduation.
How much is schooling in your neck of the woods?

I qualify as disabled (legally deaf) so I am getting some taxes back. That will pay for for 1/3 of my hearing aids that need replacing next month.

On the subject of health, not feeling so great these days. I've been having random attacks of severe vomiting, and my doctor can't figure out why. I have been on a waiting list to see a specialist since October (Canada - where everyone gets health care if you don't mind waiting for it). Starting to feel a bit alarmed since I am now passing blood in addition to the vomiting. Still have another month to go.

On the plus side, everyone thinks I look great for all the weight I've lost!  <_<  (I haven't really told anyone IRL).

Golly Aurian, that sounds awful.  I remember feeling all thin after a fit of food poisoning, but feeling like my stomach was turning into a sailor's knot wasn't much compensation.
I hope evertthing works out better for ya.

Tomb Raider has sold 3.4 million copies, failed to hit expectations -- Source: Eurogamer

Crazy how with all those copies sold Tomb Raider, Sleeping Dogs and Hitman: Absolution are still considered "a failure" for the company.
What idiots. I think 3.4 million is amazing considering all the bad mojo the TR franchise has built up over the years. If someone had asked me, I would have guessed that it would sell just under a million the first week. What the hell were they expecting?

I was really happy with Ayesha -- I hope we get this.
I wonder if the gameplay will compensate to make Rosy more about battle system and Eska more about the alchemy??

I'm glad you liked Ayesha, I know you were a bit cautious for a while.  I assume it got more interesting for you?

After I discovered the d-pad alchemy options (power pour, transfer, and the other two), I got *infinitely* more interested.
The game could still use tweaks in the battle system and plot, but I was happy with the product.
Biggest issue was probably the last ten minutes of the main story because it felt so...cheaply done =/
Final Dungeon: two screens
Final Enemies: the same 5 you always run into, re-skinned
Final Boss: ???? (easier than the mecha-dragon, but I guess abusing alchemy will do that).
Resolution: Tio's safe!  (Teleport)  BYE!

Keith is awesome.  Regina sucks ass.  I like how she isn't a standout in any way.  I'm curious how Nio is in battle.  That was a pleasant surprise.
And while I'm not into cute/whacky anime stereotypes, I thought Odelia was a darling.

EDIT: Battle scans

I'm still not 100% sure how you get safely across that beam thing when the prison is sinking.

Yeah, that took me like 6 tries.  I didn't really get what...the thing[?] to do[?] is..... When I did it, I was all like, "oh, kay."

I also hated the part with Cid in FF9 that's timed.  Fucking up leaves you little time to fix things, and they make it an exercise of tedium since he's so careful putting every item on and off the scale.  ...also, I just hate timed parts.  Fuck'em.

What?  How did this get pitched anyways?  Or make sense...or whaat?

Strangest thing I've discovered today.  Weird Al singing his Jurassic Park song in Japanese.  Apparently, this version was on the Japanese version of the album.

Wow... huh.
I'm actually impressed with his diction?

Seeing Weird Al reminded me of UHF which brought me to a classic moment:

I'm getting a kingly sum back for my taxes.

I get diddly fucking nothing with my shit job.  Fuck everything.  I'm becoming a waitress again...or a stripper.  See what I can get into faster...point is: I want tips again.

What exactly are you in school studying for?  I don't know how Canada does things, but by your posts it seems like you're in school a lot longer than Americans.

Haha, I wish I could say a doctor because i'd be almost done by now.
I went to college for business/advertising (and graphic design), then I took a year to do a prep university course to help my grades (got straight As), now I'm in university studying engineering and advanced mathematics so I can become an aeronautical engineer art history because it's what I love.
7 years post-secondary!!! :D  I'm glad I didn't tell my highschool-self that's how long it would take...or she would have...become a stripper/waiter.

...Hopefully better than AI2...

Curious what "zero" and "one" has to do with the story... they said it's to make things easier.... iuno.

Namco Bandai was pretty bad for this too.  They expected their goddamn "CLash of the Titans" games (y'know, the GAME based on the shitty MOVIE?) to sell over 500k.

So long as Hidari is drawin', it looks like I'll be getting another artbook.  Dammit.

Anyways, yay, hopefully we get a gameplay video soon.

@Annubis: I don't even want to know where those spiders come from...

Actually on that point I agree with Yodes. Live females > giant jiggly pixelated females.

I didn't know this about 2D girls being better than 3D girls, or something.

Cat knows how y'all feel:

Now you're acting like Mesh who has a nasty habit of doing this to all of his "haps" posts.
