^^ Oh that is AWESOME.

We generally don't have problems, but to assume it's me right off the bat when a THIRD PERSON LIVES HERE is kinda irritating. She apologized, but then went back to being convinced that it's me (it's the vibe I get anyway). But she refuses to approach the other person. You know what, not my problem, she's just gonna keep using your shit then.

Made this for you...

Great way to start off the day on the wrong foot: Piss me off by accusing me of stupid shit like using your face wash. And then don't believe me when I'm like, wtf no?

Why the hell would I, I have my own stuff?

Ugh, roommates.

In case you didn't see relevant YT post...

It depends.  For some reason I could get stumped by an easy puzzle, and whizz through a complex one.  When you figure out the pirate ship, it's simple, but I do remember running around a few times because I missed something (sort of like the Water Temple in OOT, you get that "OOOH, i get it" moment when you took the time to think outside the box).

You guys all suck.
All these poems have me all "what the fuck?"
You all think too hard,
PS Yoda and Vanguard

Genius is also the Spyro: Skylanders.  A game and toys all in one.  Crafty marketers.

No one did Pokemon cards? :P
I love trading cards, but it's never something I followed other than look at other peeps.

I never had ANY stuffed animals growing up, funnily enough. They are only something I started collecting when I was 17. When I moved to Ireland I got horribly depressed and home sick, so Hugh bought me a penguin home one day, we called him Waddles. Hugh would make up personalities for them and would be like a puppeteer and make them caper to cheer me up, and it did. He bought more and soon we had about a dozen or so in our bed with us, with different personalties and quirks, hence the little stories I put below the picture.

I guess it sounds pretty sad, but they really did make me feel less lonely when I lived away from my family.

That's real sweet.  Haha, nice he was worried about you.  Odd how comfortable things sort of relay that "comforting" feeling.  Homesickness is pretty hard to tough out, so it's nice Hugh helped ya out however he could (was the 2nd plush a snail?! haha).  There's something just grand about a toy whose main objective is to "be comfy", and like the way it seems with you, it's funny how simple and effective they are at making us happy.

I need an owl plush and my stuffed-toy collecting days are over. :P

My thing was a baby blanket, I called it "corner" (due to a specific corner of the blanket I ran between my fingers).  My brother gave his to me when I was a kid, and I carried it everywhere till some point mid-grade school.  If I had a cut, put blanky on it and it felt better; if I cried, blanky soaked up the tears; if I was cold, blanky warmed me up; if I was happy, I hugged the blanket.  I think I've said it here before, but I pull it from the closet when I'm feverish and delirious  -- still works.  But by this point, it's probably psychological and the nostalgia is messing with my head. :O

Maybe it's also why losing "Wilson" in Cast Away tugs at some heart strings... even if it seems ridiculous in retrospect.

What the hell is going on around here? Stuffed animal talk?

How dare you mess with comfy!! >:(
Haha, I dunno, we cover all sorts of weird-ass topics.  Here's to another one! *clink*

I currently reside in an office with no window. One of the salesman was "let go" last summer, and I am now being moved into his old office, which has a window. I will finally get to have a plant in my office. I will be able to stare out the window instead of working. I'll finally be able to feel the warmth of the sun on my skin as I bid like a mutha. This will improve my life in so many ways! All hail windows!
Either that or things will be exactly the same except I'll have a little viola to water. Good times.

Eugh, I can't imagine having no windows, or at the very least some sort of low light or mood-lighting.  I hate the standard fluorescent lights that are in every fucking big building (brutal on the eyes).  I'm glad you're getting a view, I'd be surprised if you don't feel just a smidge happier behind the desk.

...black widow spider and keep an eye on it. In the dream I think it was to add excitment to the party or something. The spider bit my hand and I dropped it

Clearly you're going to turn into Spiderma--..... Black Widow Man...?
Hate the dreams that have you come out as a party pooper.  I want all my dreams to have me either (a) fly, or (b) mack on a hunk or celebrity or something.

Accoustic tracks woulda been nice too...

Also, it's official: OST more popular than game.

Why is this game back all of a sudden.  You are now a 3rd party who's sort of gotten back into it. xD

I have cards, my bro and I collected 'em.  We barely do anything with them now, and we got really good at flicking cards with them, to the point it hurt.

I think it's great what stays in though.

Why do you stuffed animals still look so good? My Waffie looks really miserable compared to those... He's lost both of his ears, his tongue, most of his fur, mom put in new stuffing twice, my cousin ripped him in two once...

Goodness, that's quite tragic.

I like Chu-Chu though! :D

Oh cmon, she's no worse than any other mascot in a video game. At least she's a chocobo cosplay and not a sexy moogle.....god that would be weird.

Who is your merchant, meaning like it or not you'll have to keep interacting with her. Her voice is also kinda grating.

I'm Chocolina~♥♥

Main thing that makes me sad: lack of 1-sec FMV for status portraits.

There's also the fact that they felt the need to show the small battlefields from ten different angles before actually starting combat.

That was a nasty of habit of Squeenix in the later PSX years.

Yikes.

Knowing what to say.

6285  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy IX on: January 24, 2012, 07:14:26 PM
I don't care much for the grind aspect of it (getting skills), especially since yeah, combat isn't quick, and random battles hamper dungeon progress to the point of annoying.  But hell, getting Excalibur 2 proves you don't need to try too, too hard.

I absolutely loved the world, and loved the mix of myth and animal-people.
I loved Zidane and Steiner too.  A shame Freya and Amarant get shelved so bad.
I also can't help but love the music in Treno, and the read the accents of the NPCs in Conde Petite.

Too many little things to love.
