Also, I still love FF8, mostly for its plot THEMES (not so much plot execution) and the art / music.

I'm a bit of an ox and a moron, I can usually gab about plot and details there, but I'm completely dense when it comes to themes.  What the heck were they in FF8?

I remember liking the final acts of Stella Deus, I thought the message was in the right place, and found the ending theme song incredibly cheesy but warming up to it like mad (mmm, warm cheese).

SO games have a better battle system than most RPGs.  Poor Star Ocean, don't listen to all them haters!
Which reminds me... what the fuck is Tri-Ace even up to these days?? :S

I know some of the reviews said they didn't like the battle system or maybe they found it boring, but I definitely liked it for the most part once the game got going.

Totally agree.  The battle system is a bit slow in the beginning when you don't really have a lot of options, but towards the end of the game I found it quite enjoyable.  In fact I have a hard time naming a traditional turn-based (non-SRPG) JRPG battle system I like more.  There's really a lot of depth to TitS's system.

I don't think you can defeat the "white-haired-mystery-intruder" unless you have that impenetrable earth magic shield thing.  Honestly though, Zane is the fucking man.

Another really cool one Klyde.  I think I like the woodman one best of the three.

You're a furry?

Actually not true.

I already got the one kinky quirk

This only raises more questions.

Easily figured out, if you pay attention ;-)

People say that whenever I tell think I got a weird fetish.  I actually wonder if they really have.  As far as I know, I haven't revealed a damn thing.

I remember one reviewer here loved the fuck out of Stella Deus where most of us here wanted to spit on it.

Shiguma.  I remember he used to hype that shit up and I was so pumped for it to come out.  It eventually came out and it sucked.

I do want to give it another chance.  Someday I'll replay it... maybe.

That's the one!

Well...it IS good, just extremely...EXTREMELY bare bones.  The conditions to get any of the "secret" characters was pretty retarded too.

A funny review I gave was loving the hell out of Spirit Track after I pre-release bitched about it the whole time.  To my defense, it actually does a good job...in the dungeons, and unfortuantely everything else is lost on the retarded choo-choo travel mechanics and the goddamn touch screen.  It also had a second dungeon boss harder than...like... most Zelda bosses (oh wait, that may not be saying much...)

I dunno, maybe I'm a dinosaur, but I freaking hate this whole interactive-Link business...  Unless it's me aiming a 3DS for my bow and arrow (arguably making the boss in the Forest Temple in OoT easier).

Ate too much fruit. Feeling vaguely ill. Neil Young makes bad porno music. ____________ scar as ouroboros. What I'm afraid of is the future already having happened and I am conscious in the past, but in a sense that's true? I think the gas station sells incense. 28.

Fruit makes me reeeeeeeeal sick.... I suffer from the inability to digest fructose without a ton of glucose....

Fruit aside....

I thought I would throw this up here since I posted my last Megaman tattoo... seemed appropriate...

Holy shit Klyde.  I won't lie, I think game tattoos can be incredibly tacky... you're making me think a helluva lot differently (maybe just the examples I've seen just look messy!).  The lineart is so clean~! I love the sort of "light" whizzing around and trailing the leaves.

I couldn't be a furry, I already got the one kinky quirk, and only one really fits in that head.

Test today I'm underprepared for.  Wish me luck!
6443  Media / Anime, TV, and Movies / Re: Recently watched Episodes of TELEVISION BOX offerings! on: December 03, 2012, 09:11:03 AM
I watched Bob's Burgers last night ...for the second time ever!

I don't know why I avoided it for so long.  Jon H Benjamin is worth tuning into enough if he's in it, he tends to be great in whatever he's in (started watching Archer on and off too).  That, and I think I'm still new enough to the show to be terribly amused by men voicing two of the women on the show (Tina and Linda).  This episode was a bit of a treat because Bob Odenkirk was guest starring, so I kept the TV tuned in when I recognized the voice.  If you don't know Odenkirk, he plays Saul, my favorite Breaking Bad character.

This is a fun TV show. :)
It's now on my watch list!

----

Dexter:  For such an amazing season so far, this last episode was the dud.  Everythign felt so, so contrived...
Dad's visiting!  He was an asshole, but he's clean now!  Oh...he wants money for a "business".  No dad, you can't have it!  Dad! You're drunk!  Dad's an asshole again. >=(
The stripper-cop sub-plot needed to be suffocated with a pillow.
Kudos to Dex for having the hottest girlfriend on the planet.  Many lovely ladies seem to be attracted to a killer.... go figure.

In honour of TNG in Canada
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=E6DvMKmhenQ#t=44s
Contains red and white too (no, not Polska, Canadian colours!...and Japan!)

It was between this or the Pain sticks scene with wharf... Which I think was actually the same [awesome] episode.

I've been talking to you for pretty much a year or so and you never ONCE made it clear you liked Trek.

WTF, Dicey

TYPICAL MAN, not paying attention to woman. >=(

I can't remember who, but please someone take credit, someone wrote a sarcastic review/summary of the events in 13-2.

Marriage was symbolized in Russian folklore by a woman running off into a forest and getting mauled to death by a bear.

Yay Russia!

That made me smile. x)

STAR TREK TNG IS ON CANADA NETFLIX.  I MUST~~~~

Thank God I don't do drugs anymore, years ago I could see myself refreshing that constantly!

I intend a lot of substance abuse of both the alcoholic and chronic types tomorrow when two papers and test are to be handed in and done.

Congrats brother on engagement! I'm sure you two will be happy!
I feel like on of those weird girls: some girls "eat their feelings" when they're sad, I tend to avoid food.  Him getting married (well, engaged) makes me wanna avoid it.

All the Bravest: Flying Fairy?

It's not really that relevant.

I'm more curious if they'd release a black 3DS case as well... Mmm

Look at me getting ahead of myself. D:
