I hated MM merely for the fact that I was forced to play as kid Link for the whole game.

I felt it was painfully obvious more time went into Adult than Kid Link... I kinda agree there.  At least you got kinda baller mask-forms, and Feirce Deity (which just KIIINDA looks like a fan-made skin for Adult Link haha).

LttP would be a tough thing to top... I wonder if Nintendo, of all developers, could have what it takes to make it good.  They seem to have that bit of magic that Disney kinda has in that sense.

I wouldn't mind an 'easy mode" for MM... the timer paranoid the hell out of me.

I caught nerd flu at E3.

Sounds sweaty and smelly?

Oh, con crud. Yeah, that's a lot of fun... It's usually like a bad cold that doesn't want to leave, but depending on what people decided to neglect their health and hygiene, there's a good chance you could drag the flu home. Gaming fanatics are usually the cause of the bad outbreaks, journalists and other professionals not so much. Atleast they're sensible enough to eat, sleep, stay hydrated and wash their hands once in a while.

Oh, that Fan Expo in Toronto.  It's humid indoors; the people make the heat, and the sweat makes the air...moist.

I'd like a LttP-remake that had the same character questing-depth that MM did.
Most of the NPCs in Link to the Past felt like they were either gypsies, monsters, thieves, or flat out pains-in-the-asses that called for knights 'cuz you're a wanted man.

...and your reaction if this was true.

Man, I'd put it as "or". Still, LttP could be more interesting, while MM easier.

Tried to avoid lengthening the title so did the slashy-mc-slash-slash and added a question mark.

Shame they're still in "thinking" stages".

So... Ashton, if I got a medical issue would you give some free advice?? :O  (an alien [no pun intended] concept to American-Doctor but common for Canadian citizen [eh]).
6443  Media / Single-Player RPGs / A MM/ALttP Remake!? on: June 13, 2012, 02:34:03 AM

I think the lil' nerd in me just creamed her pants a little.

I don't mind either, but I think ALttP would be a way more impressive accomplishment.  But of course, thoughts of, "fuck it, do both" are running mad too.

I wouldn't mind a Zelda game that played with a bit more intensity like, say, the God of War series, but still kept its smarts about itself (i.e.; puzzles, dungeons, a town, and some world land traveling).

I wish it was a 3 day weekend, but I guess I'll have to settle for 2.

Like most of the time.... *sigh*  I'm convinced life would be a better place and with a lot less depression-heads if we did have 3-day weekends, even if it meant an extra hour at work (yes, I am willing to compromise my wishes; hell, I don't want a million-dollar Jackpot -- give me $10,000, that'd be amazing!).

I just lost 2 hours of progress on something I worked on.  I don't mind redoing it... but that's two hours of life, wasted.

I got Dark Cloud 2.  Enough said. :D

I liked that game a lot.  I need to put that on my replay list...

I already beat it myself.  I missed it a helluva lot and had to have it again.  I really want to grab out the accordion and learn how to play the Palm Brinks theme.

Nostalgia calls... in the name of Lisa Frank.  I still love fucking rainbows. <3

I can live with Sakura being number 2, at least she beat Madoka.

I liked Madoka... in the last episode.
Special credit to her for seeing her magic-girl-friends get either consumed by darkness or decapitated.

Anyone else find Sailor Moon... unattractive?  Them pigtails did nothing for me, she usually only looked good in big official [anime] art.  Ah well, I thought she was cool though.

Sakura was cool too.  I thought Tomoyo recording it all and *making* her outfits was kinda stupid; she must be bored with life.

I've been playing some AssCreed 2! Started it up on Sunday and it confirms everything that I heard about it: that it improves on everything in AssCreed 1. Assassinations are still super fun, and perhaps are even more fun now. But I think the part that keeps me going is the "The Truth" collecting mini-game, because those segments are really fun and come off like ARGs. Morse code wtf?!

I loved the "Truth" files, but they freaked me out a bit too.  Hearing Subject 16 grunt, struggle, and suffer starts to get pretty creepy.  The black/red/white motif doesn't help, along with the "hidden agenda" throughout Earth's history.  But I liked the puzzles.  I thought Ass1 was a bit more artistic in its presentation, but yeah, Ass2 is wonderful otherwse. :D
