I think most Earthly stresses can be destroyed if we had a 3-day weekend instead of 2.

Also Wolfteam became Tri-Ace and went from making second rate platformers for Nihon Telenet to second rate JRPGs for Squeenix and Konami.

Second rate?!  I will bitch-argue anyone who says Tri-Ace does a bad job... especially to Squeenix titles as of late.

I'm more surprised we didn't get anything for Ass Creed (fingers crossed for the third title)

It's the forth title.

Technically it's the fifth, actually (Ass1, Ass2, Brotherhood, Rev, and what will be Ass3). =P
More if you count the shittier handheld releases.

I'm preordering this stupid game next time I can.  I'm done.  They sold me.  But I will change me mind if reviews tank.

I'll take it!!  Oh wait... you're racist to Canadians, eh?
Rot.

(good luck!)

Yeah. GS/EB has the shittiest preorder bonus imo. Personally I want the BB one.

....I find it funny how bestbuy.ca has a listing for Final Fantasy XIV PS3 but not XIII-2 - even the regular edition. lolwhut

Best Buy has been killing the preorder bonuses lately... I think I got a job at the wrong place if I wanted swag.

As someone who worked there during college, we didn't get anything extra at.  Besides discounts (which were decent, probably similar to what GS offers), the only swag we got was from reps who stopped by our store.  We got pens and sometimes keychains =P

Well, we get swag... but I'm not exactly keen on wearing a Large sized Call of Duty t-shirt and a tuque. =P

I'm more surprised we didn't get anything for Ass Creed (fingers crossed for the third title) and Skyward Sword. D:

Akihiko apparently went, fought, and got clawed by a goddamn bear.  What's with the 3 parallel scars?

I like Mitsuru's look... but what is it supposed to be exactly?  She's sticking it to PETA like the rich bourgeois she is though.

It took my a while to realize.... I thought it was some weird back.... then I realized it was a cheddar cheese thigh.
Poor tat artist.

I'd rather have a silver PS3. The Moogle ones are kinda cool, but they have way too much pink. Especially the 360.

The only Moogle I'd want on a PS3 is the FF6 art of Mog leaning on the sword.

A white pS3 is nice.... but the pink is kinda killing it.

WW and SS are way different in style for me.  One is pure cartoon, the other one uses more of a Seurat effect.
All in all, the graphics (to me) are perfect, especially considering the hardware.  The graphics are clean, pretty, and crisp.  My only beef with the impressionistic style is me thinking that it was a lame method to make cloud graphics easy... anyone play Baten Kaitos??  Holy crap, almost every scene moved with clouds whipping by.

I think Zelda does look a lot uglier, I suppose personality is what's making up for it.  Her nose looks awful, and I hate any woman in short bangs (they look to childish).

As much as I really enjoy the motion controls, the same problem comes up: I love being able to sit down and play a game more than anything.  Wagging a control is one thing, but I hate some of the controls lumped on top of that though. It takes time to get use to.  I miss hitting "A" once to pick shit up, and hitting it again to throw it.  Hitting "A" once to pick up, then waggling the thing to throw it is surprisingly taking longer to get used to than I thought (I guess after the doing first method for almost 20 years, it changes ya).

I personally don't get what happens to these game companies were they think a spin-off is a creatively charged and good idea.  Oh wait, it isn't creatively charged.  It's money...

The company *HAS* made some bad decisions.  If sales mean anything, it's that people prefer the mothership titles over the fucking spin-off (RM3?) that has a closet get all randy when the girl "changes class" inside him.
6461  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Tales of PlayStation(s) revealed on: November 21, 2011, 10:02:45 AM

A bit over-dramatic.  The company absorbed the studio, likely to help with debt/losses.  I don't think they're bailing on the series, the headline is as bad as a tabloid's.  I don't think they are or can stop producing a game that gets as many sales as it does.

Yeah, Link's lazy-bum status hit an all-time high in this one, it seems.  But I guess the fact he's gonna be trekking high and low over the lands, battling an innumerable amount of monsters and doing a whole bunch of shitty puzzles is what will be his moment to show 'em all.

I love Groose.  And his pompadour.

Zelda is lovely.  A lot of fun, definitely a nice contrast to the serene, humbled, and dutiful (and humorless) incarnation from Twilight Princess.  Her nose looks ugly though.  And I preferred her without bangs too (since every damned character and their mother's seem to wear them in Japan)
I love the relationship between her and Link, definitely a refreshing push for them two, it's cute (I love the little extra blurb of text when you get the sailcloth).

I love the WiiMotion plus controls, combat feels great!!  .... I don't like doing Skyward strikes though (which, guaranteed will be needed for 1-on-1's).
Is it weird I'm scared of the high damage?  Everyone bitched about the half-heart loss, making things too easy, but dammit!  I was cozy with it.  It took me a while to realize you start with 6 then 3 hearts from the get go.

The music is also a twist!  It is definitely Kondo, but it does sound nice.

They got older?  Akihiko gained muscle (finally) and Mitsuru obviously became a fabulous super-model-secret-agent-girl?
6465  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Gust announces new Atelier game: Atelier Meruru on: November 21, 2011, 12:35:29 AM
Seriously whenever I look at Meruru all I see is her legs. They're like a mile long.

Japanese have a bad habit of drawing it like that.  Yikes... Her feet should be at least another foots-worth higher.
