I hate when TV and movies have fake mac/pc interfaces... for some reason, these computers love making "blips" and "bleep" noises when they're processing or loading things.  Same with consoles, for some reason, current gen games also suffer 8-bit sounds.

That link led me to this:

I think one Kay is enough to fulfill many potential Kay's.
6453  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: What keeps you going everyday? on: April 23, 2011, 10:09:23 PM
Damn good question, Ms. Dice.
I'm a bit older than a lot of you, so I can offer a different perspective on the question. I've already been through college, shit jobs that don't pay, and relationships that are going nowhere. I have a good job in the field I love(Landscaping) that pays me well enough to be comfortable. I've been married for 12 years now, and have a 10 year old son.
What keeps me going everyday? For one, a cure for thishttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fibromyalgia, which I have been diagnosed with after years of going to doctors and getting no answers. FYI: It sucks.
On the more positive side, I am an avid(read:fanatical) gardener, and can't wait to get out there each day to see what's going on, and get my hands dirty. There is nothing I'd rather be doing.
I love doing things with my son. Like teaching him all about gardening(shocker!), and how to respect all living things. Seeing his eyes light up in delight over discovering a cool new bug, or figuring out a problem that stumped him, truly makes me happy. He's a damn good kid, and I am very proud of him.
My wife, who is truly my best friend, and can make me smile on the days when I really need to. A hug from her can make the pain go away, if only for a few seconds. Her determination and strength are beyond admiration, and I only wish I had half as much. Not to mention that she's a total geek(Vampires, horror movies, etc.), which makes it easy for her to understand my own obsessions.
Mushy stuff aside, the woman's got an ass that won't quit. And I get to see it everyday! Life is good.
; - )
Plus, I really DO look forward to certain new movies coming out, watching great shows like Dr. Who, etc.

and Mass Effect 3

Of all responses, I'm amazed and happy at how honest this one was, Grim.

I'm actually ashamed to say that my mum also suffers the same disease, no cure, and specialists and meds up the wa-zoo. Ashamed because I feel it's what's driving her and I apart at times.  But I'm also happy to see that your life seems, generally, okay otherwise; good wife/best friend, and a wonderful boy (who I'm sure is just the sweetest thing and in a good home).

I'm generally quite anti-social, I'm good at it, but I generally prefer to be without company aside a few people.  I'm happy to say I don't really feel lonely though, only at rare times.  I think it's time I answer me own question; and it's my hobbies keep me going.  My interests, my passions, my loves in this life.  The fact that most can be done at home and without people make me happy.  A job, a walk, a book, some time to draw, to cook, to create, to learn whatever.  This forum has been great company, not only to my gaming interests, but the people here aren't complete retards.  I love the internet for that in general, connecting odd hobbies, especially if the people who like them aren't exactly living close to each other.

Generally, I'm easy to please as well, so it doesn't take a lot to keep me going and to keep me happy.

(added for Dice - but the combat was superb.)

I don't give a shit what their tech demo looks like if they're going to hire voice actors like the ones they did for Star Ocean 4.

I'm goddamn sick of this.  But I'll say it again: aside from a few exceptions, blame the fucking piece of shit, awkward ass, cheesy ass script before you blame the actors.  The actor's did a reasonable job vocalizing the retarded plot and scenarios (ex; trying to escape watching your hot childhood friend shower, by imitating a cat).

And it's true, tri-Ace never had a problem graphically.

SO4 was an abomination and Tri-Ace is an outdated developer.

And yet, people buy ImageEpoch and Compile Hearts titles.

What else can I be? Can I just be Jubby?

You should always be yourself, Jubby-jubs.  Always bee yourself. *huggies*

It's only because I've been here for 2 or 3 months, isn't it? I thought people just always loved me...

I hate not being the center of attention at all times.

That's because you're doing it wrong -- you're being normal.  Get a "thing".  Type gangsta or something, then we'll know you as "he who talks gangsta".  Or do what Kay does and type in a colour.

Can I be the single child who needs constant attention?

What's stopping you?  Forums always need people they don't like.  ....just when I was coming around to you too.

I think the main argument is: it looks good for something out of Japan that's not Squeenix, Capcom or... um.. Konami...[?].

American develops fucking boomed like crazy graphically, Japan really stayed behind -- I'm always happy with what Tri-Ace can do all things considered.

Hey Dice. Talk to me. Forums are so dead at night...

No.  I'm going to bed.  And I hate this forum.
....Sweet dreams, though. :D

But I thought we were BFFLs...

I don't say I have many, even, "forum memories" with you.  Let's make some now, I'm game.  And sleepy... fuck it.  Tomorrow.

Goddamit, I started growing out my nails, no one told me I'd have to get used to typing this way.  It ain't worth it.  I've also "bent my nail backwards" like 200% more, and it's so...weird every time it happens.
6462  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: tri-Ace Technical Demo on: April 23, 2011, 03:09:11 AM

It appears I've credited Baiten Kaitos to tri-Ace too. I feel stupid now.

Please don't hate me.

It will be engraved upon your soul!

Nice touch!  I like you, and you're not a noob in my eyes unless you seriously screw it up.  Welcome!

Not impressed.  Naughty Dog shits all over this.

Naughty Dog also just happens to have the backing of a gigantic corporation and probably has a MUCH larger budget than anything tri-Ace has ever had.  I'd say I'm more impressed by tri-Ace's accomplishments than Naughty Dog's.

Dude, hard to fucking compare Naughty Dog to begin with.  Given Japan's rut of staying in shitty graphics, I think this is some accomplishment, you bloody high-standard hooker. >=/

I just watched them too -- and for a short series, I thought they tied it up amazingly well.  Evangelion was much more ambiguous and depressing, this left... a sort of bittersweet taste, but certainly scratches at being more sweet.  Other than this, I don't know how you could have ended such a defeating plot concept (where just about everything is there to fuck you over) into the rather swell turnabout.  Most impressive was Madoka finally doing something valuable, she pissed me off most of the rest of the series.   ....Mmmm, pink-jesus-savior.

Went to see a friend who has terminal cancer. They gave him morphine and sent him home, sad stuff...

I'm sorry CDFN.

After something like that, I really have no right to complain about my day at all.  God bless or... y'know.
