Is armor also created through smithing or is that another skill?

Smitheroo.

Occasionally some weapons (maybe armor?) is made through the tech-smithing (forgot what it's called ATM).  IIRC some of Maria's weapons are made that way.

Have my cavalier posts here not proven I'm more clever than anything in those books?

Jokes on you, "cavalier" perfectly describes Meyer's attitude towards good writing!

Well, my last name starts with an "S"; "D" and "M" are my middle initials. :P
I wouldn't try to hide my identity if I was Steph Meyer, because no matter what, I'd be crazy richer than most of your asses here..... I hurt my own ego with that comment though.

Ba-ba-ba-zing.

You missed Valkyrie Profile, definitely a must-play and probably one of the better challengers of the list.

Takes of Eternia/Dest.2 is phenominal for an old school experience.  Them hand drawn backgrounds are stunnin'.

I watched Crazy Stupid Love.

I love this movie.  The ending is sort of lackluster and all too quaint, but the sort-of Twist right before it had my jaw hit the floor and laugh pretty hard. x)

Even though it starts with Julian Moore's character seeming to be quite a bitch, and some of the characters as kinda quirky or unlikeable, you end up rooting for everyone in the end, which I think is pretty damn swell. :)

One big issue with 3D Sonic.  Why is it so freaking-hard to run straight????  I don't have the original jumping-issue posted earlier here, but I think the controls could have been way tighter.

I like the game, but it's a trader still.

I love how clean and nice everything is. x)
Music is absolutely awesome

My pooch headbutt the door in my room open, and decided to pay a visit tonight.

6596  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Worst Final Fantasy game (No online games) on: January 08, 2012, 11:27:46 PM
The convenient amensia of "we all lived in an orphanage as Muppet Babies together and the main villainess took care of us but we totally forgot until this very moment" was enough to make it the only game I have rage quit because of the stupidity of the plot.

And Squall was a flat out douche.

I thought that was fan-fiction writing at it's best/worst

You can break up the discs too...

IIRC:
Disc 1 - Missions
Disc 2 - Garden War
Disc 3 - Space Witches
Disc 4 - Time Shit

I hate dainty female characters that are made a party member but get captured (or, in Rinoa's case, go into a coma half the time), pain in the ass to level that shit.  Aeris as a character was a mean tease too back when her death wasn't a spoiler.

20 mnutes of Twilight Princess.... that got me nowhere.

I wanna pull out some older games soon.  I'm also really sad and mad that the PS360 Sonic the Hedgehog title sucked ass seeing as how much I loved Sonic Adventure 1/2.

Lots of games coming up, and the load of titles released late 2011 will be mine this summer...

...a promise for gaming? D:

Gonna play Uncharted fully finally.

I love how intuitive the use for the whip got by the end of the game... to pull a level right beside you! :D

6600  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: How do you invent items in Star Ocean 3? on: January 08, 2012, 10:38:49 PM
So are you supposed to just back out of inventing when the character makes a happy face while the quality bar is still high to synthesize a weapon from scratch

Basically.  If things go bad during inventing, sometimes they get worse from there if they keep mucking up.  Best to cut your losses, find better inventors, or get the item for each field of inventing that raises the % of creating and the items you can make.
