Fav female is gonna be an interesting one.  Usually demonstrates what Japan likes in women compared to NA a bit (in saying that, I think Yuna might rank quite high).

You think Yuna wouldn't rank high in NA?

The X-2 version might.

I meant in japan, sorry for not making it clear..

We all told Klyde to skip Rorona but he just wouldn't listen...

Heck, even Gust is skipping it with their Vita re-releases.  They did Totori, are working on Meruru, but haven't said a peep about re-releasing Rorona.

That's actually kinda funny.

A a piss on Gust for making a loli-Rorona and getting too scared to age her.  RUINED.  Her game sucks, made worse by a child version. T_T

Anywways, for whatever the reason, I'm happy to fuck to get Ayesha (even thought he Arland series left a bad taste in my mouth)

TP is my favorite based on atmosphere alone (and yeah, even IF Ganon does come back, it's probably the coolest he's ever looked.... them corn rolls and golden tiara thing actually work on him).  Midna hasn't come close to being replaced, and I think it looks amazing still.  Fuck, I'd take an HD version of it in a heart beat, flaws or not.  While I was able to get through that stupid hookshot game, I think I *hated* (with a feverish passion) the two times you visit the Lost Woods even more.  I can't beat that part without getting the palms a bit sweaty from always moving around.  If it's not for the fucking skull kid, it's that stupid jumping statues minigame.  I hate that, and the one "race" you have with the fucking Wallmasters.  Fuck those fucks.

FarCry 3 is awesome.
Sort of.  This game actually pisses me off, but I keep coming back to it.  It's a good challenge that way I guess.  I really don't like doing the Rakyat [?] challenges, and predator-type animals tend to come up at the worst instances, but it's fun to do stealth.  Apparently some reviewers had the cojones to say "THE GAME'S GRAPHICS ARE REPRETITITIVE".... well GODDAMN, WHEN I HGET SICK OF LOOKING ATA TROPICAL ISLAND, I"LL LETT YOU KNOW.

I just noticed the 25th anni logo has all the other ones in it... that's pretty cool~! :D

To be fair to FFVI, FFIV's melodrama loses a lot of its kick when you know that everybody's just going to get better anyway (aside from Tellah who was an old man who got progressively worse as you leveled him and had a terrible gimmick ability).

Oh man, I can't recall... did he actually lose stats?

ANd yeah, the melodrama is pretty thick in those games.  I think the lack of dialogue may actually be a plus on its end.

Might as well put this now.

Shame it took three games to get that bit out.... though it'll probably be coming back when/if Versus comes out.

And a shame we only get "the Ghost of Etro" in 13-2....good grief.

One of the best games of the year according to reviews.  I'm loving it like crazy myself, anyone else playing???

Nothing better than being prepped to take on an enemy base (alone, James Bond style, of course *groan*), only to have a tiger or big ol' teddy bear right beside you that needs to be taken care of first.

I remember Tales of Symphonia being too hard when I was a kid.

Tales of Symphonia release date: July 13, 2004.

when I was a kid.

God damn it, I feel old today.

I remember walking my dog that Summer morning, my dad was gonna drive me to go get it after I took her out.  I just finished Grade 10.  I was so happy a Tales game was coming out, and for me to sit down with and enjoy during the summer time ...I wanna be young again....!!!!!

Honestly?  I was like...prohibition dry in 2012.  I wouldn't mind a few more beers this year.

So confirmed that you're not falling off the wagon, but jumping off it?

...and sauntering vaguely downwards, yes.

Django Unchained

One reason I'm always happy to be a fan of Tarantino is that for the most part he's always able to deliver a really solid film.  Django is no exception.  It's what happens when you mix the action of Kill Bill vol. 1, and the talkity-talk of Kill Bill vol. 2, and while you don't get it in the same extremities as those two films did, the end result is still an incredibly satisfying Western film... heck, probably the best since True Grit, and....fuck... Tombstone (I'm your huckleberry) before that (either way, it brought life to a certainly dying genre).

The performances were perfect.

Eugh.  Work today.

I had a few drinks... as far as I can tell, a lot of my buds didn't do anything more extravagant than a house party, no one I know did a fancy trip or whatever.

Looking at the year in review -- very little noteworthy moments happened in 2012.  Hopefully it changes in 2013?

Dice's resolution is getting drunk?  Setting the bar pretty low there, Dice.
