Took a chance on El Shaddai after the "glorious" reviews it got.  I'm luvin' it. :D

I'm kinda disappointed this topic is dead.  I gave the game a shot, demos rarely do justice IMO, and I'm loving this game a helluva ton.  Visuals are one thing (they are amazing and definitely a large part of the charm); but the gameplay is also a real gem.  It's one of 'em "easy to play but hard to master" types -- you're gonna lose with button-mashing in other words.

The story is bizarre and takes you to fascinating places too.  I'm near the end though, so I'm pretty blue about that... but it's actually been a lot of fun. :D

Bad direction? Minish Cap is the most on-rails Zelda game ever made (well, barring Spirit Tracks which literally involved train tracks). Though I will concede the fact that its easy to miss things to the point where its the only Zelda to feature a perma-missable upgrade (and a bug that can lock out a second item or shop, though I think it only applies to the PALand version).

Also if Link were any faster, he'd be able to roll dash from one end of Hyrule to the other in under five minutes.

Whatever, it's still one of the greatest 2D zeldas (including DS releases) made. I loved it and thought it was an instantly worthy successor to the Zelda franchise.

Haha I meant it's just not that good with hints, actual "direction".

I am loving this game though.

Yeah, I've been enjoying older stuff so far this year.  I think the rest of the year will be about what happens in the latter half of it.  November is going to be an absolutely massive month.

To anyone who cares, I've been trying to lose weight the past week and will continue to do so. So far I've lost a pound. It's not much, but it's a start and I'm proud of myself.

A pound at a time.  One thing that helped me: two meals a day (I personally find divvying it up between 6, as recommend, too much a pain in the ass on normal schedules), cut out the obviously shitty-for-you foods.

I stayed up till 3am, and woke up at 7am.  Was it wise to go to bed that late? Of course not, but when you have 12 hours of work to look forward to, its sometimes better to enjoy the night for a longer amount of time.

... I'm very tired, and hate my fucking job.

I'm more surprised that it is "this" hard to make a good RPG these days.   I mean, clearly it has to be given releases nowadays.

Also, I was working on some logo's, and the FF7 OST came up... so I got some serious jones to replay it, picked it up on the PSN network.  The plan is to avoid cross-breeding brother and sister and mother choco's... Knights of the Round makes the game a serious drag last time I played it.

Incest is the only way Dice. THE ONLY WAY.

I just finished reading a book... the plot twist revealed incest and it's many horrors..... I can't...do this..... T~T *cry*

Then just remember this simple thing and life wll be better: don't buy big-budget games on Day 1. :D

I snagged a copy of Zelda: The Minish Cap on amazon.  Pretty cool game, love the graphics (Capcom + 2D = wowie zowie).  Main complaints: bad direction for where to go, it's easy to miss vital things.  Also, Link walks way slow.

I very nearly ventured near AC1 many times to get better acquainted with Alta´r and see where all this Desmond/Abstergo modern-day crap began. I can't count how many times I've been told not to bother. Time to YouTube the event scenes - and normally I hate doing that shit.

2 on the other hand is one of the better games I've played in recent years. :P

Ass Creed is what started the bigger switch over to NA games for me.  I love that series and would give up a nipple for a hoody with a "beak" thing in it.

Kinda weird, but it looks like this is another J-RPG series thats biting the dust... already a bunch crossed off, and a whole bunch more in a "maybe" pile.

But yeah, if your last game is a shitty pinchako (or whatever) game, then it was kinda like slippery slope.

And we will never truly know about Yuber....
