Horrible Bosses

I liked this quite a bit!  Not L-O-L non-stop funny, but it's a lot of fun anyways, and the cast really works well together.  I *hate* Jason Batemen though, he has a face I want to punch.  But anyways...  Also, in the vein of a "black comedy", I was hoping someone would have hooked-up with Jen Aniston's sex-crazed character than manage to take care of her -- the running joke being "she's not necessarily a bad type of a problem".  The bosses were great as well, but then again, it's generally a really strong cast.
I recommend it.

Friends with Benefits

I liked this more than I thought I would -- it's a pretty mature take on the rom-com given the concept revolves around pretty friendly fuck buddies, and it does fall into the common tropes by the end.  I think the fact it starts with sex and becomes a part of their relationship kind of weakens their eventual hook-up oddly enough, and I didn't really feel the conviction for it by the end, but it was still a great title mainly in part of Kunis' and Timberlake's chemistry together being pretty strong and suave.  Recommended if you have a girl (maybe it'll "warm her up"??? ;D ...sorry), or, fellas, if you're in the mood for mood for a guilty pleasure.
An extra star goes to Mina Kunis telling a guy to fuck himself.  You go girl!

Shame Legaia 2 was terrible.

I kinda liked it.  I couldn't beat it though because the combos got too long, and enemy HP to high which eventually wore me out.

Xenogears has a combo system??

Unfortunately, not official art.

Legend of Legaia.

It's like Tekken meets Final Fantasy VII. Super duper fun.

And both it and its sequel have awesome music (moreso the 2nd).

I personally find it hard when a class is too cold... but c'mon.

Can't wait till the kids hit university.

And last but not least...
Bullied Bus Monitor -- it's gone viral...  And I wanna punch the fucker throwing the insults.

I like to think most schools run normally, but I can't help but get weirded out about the crap going on in schools.  Kids have gotten soft and parents more vehement about stupid things.  I wouldn't mind an ACTUAL parents' opinion to the few here; but if anything is more stupid yet mandatory, it's going to school.  I'm pretty sure the one GOOD thing my university is good at is handing out bits of paper after 4+ years, and taking students' money.

Sorry, I guess I came in broad, but it's just that a lot of these stories are popping up lately it seems, each more ridiculous than the next.

The game is pretty easy, mainly because you can exploit almost everyone as a powerhouse of some sort.

I cant think of a single FF other than XIII (which, if I remember right, has a storyline driven "level" cap) that can't be completely broken this way. I think the worst was VIII.

I can't remember if FF8 was good anymore.  I downloaded it, but battles take soo long that exploiting and making it easy may be the only way I plan to beat it.

AskMen is a way better site than that kinda crap.  At least it's more realistic anyhow.

I feel like women-oriented sites like that are way too superficial and full of fucken martini and beauty ideas.  Snore.

Well, Like I said, I'm broke as poo...  I'm hoping no more than five hundred, I already got a wicked monitor and all that other jazz.

Final Fantasy 6

just leveling up everyone since you need to split up into three teams at Kefka's tower. Kind of annoying since I have a lot of people I have not used at all.

The game is pretty easy, mainly because you can exploit almost everyone as a powerhouse of some sort.

Breath of Fire III --- The game, aside from the slow fucking pace people talk, has aged really well, and why doesn't Capcom do 2D anymore??  They were the fucking kings of it.

Dark Cloud 2 -- taking a break due to -- you got it -- repetitiveness.  Will return soon.

LoZ: Wind Waker -- it feels like my files delete themselves.  The Fortress is absolutely stupid for a "first dungeon" (if we're going by the series' 7-8 dungeon rule) and I hate doing it.  Fuck you Nintendo.  Everything else is peaches, I'm doing the Dragon Roost dungeon right now.

Focusing on studies and drawing more these days, less and less time for games... it starts.

There are no specific or personal implications to that statement, don't read too much into it. :P

Yoda likes attention and does so by bringing out the dick-ish-ness in others while failing to see his own "needy" side.

Ahoy all.  I need help.

I need a new desktop.  I have a fabulous Mac Laptop, but, like laptops, it overheats, and like Mac, it can run only about 1/1000th of the programs a Windows computer can.

I'm also a very poor little girl.
What would you all, who I assume are good at this sort of thing, recommend to a budget PC that would work really well with graphic work??

I'll appreciate any answers/recommendations I can get.
6733  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Playstation 1 RPGs on: June 21, 2012, 01:55:06 PM

Xenogears is odd. The gameplay isn't particularly... good, and the battle system is based around this elaborate combo system which adds absolutely nothing to the game. The story also is... a thing. But I definitely would recommend playing it, because it is important.

Imma throw out some recommends for:

- SaGa Frontier
- Brave Fencer Musashi
- Shadow Tower. Or anything King's Field, really, tho I think Shadow Tower is the best.
- Wild Arms 1 and 2.
- Legend of Mana (It's really easy, but has like, my favorite setting and story from any Square game).
- Granstream Saga
- Guardian's Crusade
- Star Ocean 2

Oh and Valkyrie Profile but that probably causes a million dollars.

BFMusashi annoyed me with that steam tower chapter about to blow up -- the song was repulsive and played everwhere.  I was thinking of playing this again though, but 3D PSX action RPGs play ragged at best.

Granstream... fucking weird ass title.

Guardian's Crusade had an awesome intro opening, I loved how 80s it sounded.  But I honestly can't remmeber if it's good.

SO2 and VP have been able to stand the test of time quite well, IMO.

Puzzles.  Charm.  Dramz.  Injuns.
6735  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Tales of Graces F on: June 21, 2012, 12:08:52 PM
I don't like it myself (I...just don't think BoA has a nice voice =/  It's a sappy-ass tune too).  BUT.  I *adore* the end credits instrumental version of it -- it's perfect.

Even my pet rabbit likes that one. Opening song? Ran around the room thumping, frustrated I didn't get myself to safety. Ending song? Sat sideways on the couch with his little ears straight up so he could see and hear better. My bunny has a good taste in music :D Then he went back to eating the furniture.

I'd squeal in real life if I saw that.  That's so cute. x)
