They could only do so much with the base material in terms of changing things

You say that, I say lazy.

you do realize its a modified NINTENDO DS game right?

So?

Dont judgeInnocence R  for how it looks. Judge it for how it plays. Too me it looks great

it was on a few other sites

If you think Innocence-R looks great... your standards are just way too low.  Bamco is capable of WAY better, and we all know that.  This was just lazy.  And I'm not dissing the game, I never said that, but the graphics are just crap, especially for a system that is almost capable of low-level PS3 graphics.  Fucking PS2 games looked better.

Look at them bushes....

No other gaming website has really commented on this so far...

I'd hate getting Innocence R before Xill... I think it'd be a bad move to seeing as how the game looks like a low level PSP game.

Rockstar doesn't really but out more than one game a year, and I kinda doubt this is how it'd be found out about.

Listening to CC and Spyro 2 music while trying to get things done isn't a good idea. Just makes me want to go smoke ALL the bowls.

Amen.

As bad as Tidus's voiceover was, Yuna's was far worse IMO. A friend once walked in while I was playing FFX in a lounge and said something to the effect of, "is this chick for real?" Some of the delivery was so stilted and wooden. Tidus's voice actually was one of the better things going for him.

Instead of sweet and kind, she sounded like a FOB. You could poor ellipses everywhere she talked...like klyde sometimes does. :D (I tease)

I found out in a pleasant surprise my boyfriend paid the rest of my preorder for this without me knowing. DAWWWWW. The key to my heart: games. Best bud once gave me a gift card for game stop. I am at least easy to shop for.... Very excited for any Tales release, and happy to hear combat is top notch. Can't wait!

Next thing you know, he's gonna be proposing to you with a copy of Panzer Dragoon Saga. :3

HEEEEELLLL no.

He'd show it, I'd scream, and on frightened impulse, I'd grab it and throw it off somewhere.

... and maybe throw Panzar.  wtf.  Gimme Picross, then maybe.

Sunflower seeds bread is really dry.
Coded something neat today.
There is no correlation between the two.

Haiku?

FF8 had a major advantage there... it wasn't voiced. :D

FFX could have been made significantly better of Tidus was knocked by a frying pan to rework his personality.
6835  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Mass Effect 3 (expect ME1&2 spoilers) on: March 06, 2012, 12:30:42 PM
Alright, I can't hold myself.  I want to talk about some of the great moments and hear about the choices others made.

BEWARE: THE BELOW SPOILER BLOCK CONTAINS HUGE MASSIVE SPOILERS ABOUT PARTS LATE IN THE GAME.  Read at your own risk.

Code:
So, first off, the Geth vs the Quarians.  I was amazed at how these scenarios played out.  Legion died in my ME2 playthrough, and he's replaced in ME3 with a VI of himself in a similar body.  It was really creepy, and then the choice at the end was heartwrenching.  Having to choose between a fully sentient geth that would give you a much better chance against the reapers versus the less powerful but more human-like Quarians?  I ended up choosing the Quarians, and one of the lines after I killed the Legion-VI was great. Legion-VI said that he should have known better than to trust organics, and after his death, Tali said, "The real Legion would have understood."  I wonder how similarly that scenario plays out if Legion had lived.  It gives me a reason to play through all of the games again.

I was similarly pleased with the Udina situation, though I honestly wish that it wasn't due to indoctrination.  I would have loved to seen Udina simply try to attempt a coup because he was power hungry, not because he was working for the Reapers.  Still, I shot his ass without a second thought.

I was also disappointed by the fact that you are told by the Elcor ambassador that his people are walking tanks with heavy weapons, and then the "mission" is to scan the planet.  I want Elcor tanks damnit!

The ending.. well, I know no one is there yet, but I really want to see what people think about it.  My emotions on it are mixed.  Really mixed.

From what I know about the games, having not played one through completely...
(semi-spoilers, but not really)
Code:
I thought a lot of people "guessed" that ending anyhow.  Especially given the "Shepard" context and name-pun.

Hopefully Squeenix can stop with the poor excuse of teen-like J-drama.  It's fucking infuriating and no one likes it unless they're needy/longing virgins (err or something like that).

I'm curious, but what are for you these FFs that you consider being teen-like J-drama?

I'm kinda surprised I gotta spell this one out, but anything Nomura has got his grubby hands on, generally.  13 and 13-2 being the worst offenders for unrealistic scenarios being played out by unrealistic characters.  I don't understand this need to have characters brood half the fucking game.  Was Hope ever happy at any point of the game?

rpgs are hardly ever replayable.....

A generalization, but hokay.
6838  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy 25th Anniversary Thread -- Making people crazy since 1987, kupo! on: March 06, 2012, 11:04:44 AM
I dont quite think I am in the minority but I liked 13.

I think you would be, actually.

I'm in the lump that said it was good, but by no means repayable or "epic"in whatever sense. I however applaud them making woman's hair to look like something other than a bob.

I'm not talking spinoffs (I'd like to play TheatreRhythm myself), and I'm not talking about being emotionally moved by music.  But hey, different strokes.

Further in Abyss.

I really didn't like Luke after his new hair cut, but when you flesh it out in the skits (sometimes I got too little patience for some of these) -- he becomes a much better character.  I'll miss him telling men and women alike to bluntly "shut up", I usually giggled when he did that -- cuz he's being such a fucking asshole, it's funny.  But he does turn around nicely.

...Eugh, I hate the model for it though, his head is enormous, and his skit portrait looks kinda crappy.

Anyone else think that Guy is a better playable lead though??  Or do Luke's skills get any better?
