7141  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Best Star Ocean: TLH combination. on: December 13, 2011, 07:25:45 PM
I hated every single guy in the game for various reasons... wait no, let me rephrase that. I hated every character in the game.
Thus, my party was only the chicks because even if I hated them, at least they had girly parts.

Arguably, the best party is mostly chicks (Reimi, Sara, and Meracle), and Arumat looks like Lightning.

This guy's ability to draw faces is awesome.  Best pokemon thing I've seen in a while!

I have replayed Star Ocean: TLH several times, and I am finding that the best player combination is Edge, Reimi, Meracle, and Sarah.

Edge can suck Arumat's scyth.

Also, this belongs in some SO topic from a year back because there are only enough SO enthusiasts here to justify only one topic.  If it's any comfort, we're as general so as to not even have one of "these types" of topics for Final Fantasy.

Squeenix enjoys propelling the big-budget RPGs, so maybe something cool will still come after 13-2 as well (and heck, Versus looks great so far).

Kingdom Hearts' will be on the horizon (BBS being one of the best games I played last year.... story aside).

I wouldn't mind seeing Capcom take another RPG on.... but...

Anyways, I thought Persona 5 was more or less stated it's in development as well... we'll go nuts over that.

I'm too broke to really be keen on a ton of titles I gotta get, hell, this Autumn was brutal as is (whether you're an RPG fan or not).

Playing Radiant Historia again when I need something to take my mind off studying when my brain is getting fried.

Kinda hard to explain where I am since TWO story lines are happening.  I think it's when Rosch is sad and his arm is hurtin', and when I meet Princess Eruca.  Myup.

The more I see of 13-2 the more I like. Then again I haven't seen a lot of the story stuff which will probably turn me off. If I had a Wii I'd be all over Xeno, but I don't so meh.

This Artelier stuff isn't my jam at all, even though I can respect the gameplay. I've never played a Tales game but the subtitle friend ship is magic gives me the heebie jeebies.

I personally think you'd be an okay fit with Tales of Vesperia (no "friendship" heebie jeebies there, and if you haven't seen the mass man-love here for the main guy, maybe you'd like him too), and you're one of the less RPG-fans ( :P ) here, so the active real-time combat may be a nicer fit.  *shrug*
7147  Media / Brush and Quill / Re: Book Thread Continued on: December 13, 2011, 02:21:14 AM

But the movie already came out 2 years ago! Damn Americans having to remake foreign films 'cause people are too damn lazy to read some god damn subtitles.
My thoughts exactly. I saw the movie awhile ago, and it was perfectly fine the way it was. No remakes necessary.

I'm keeping in mind the talent going into the "remake".
Complain if, say, Michael Bay was doing the remake, and Kristin Stewart was playing Lisbeth... but we got David Fincher and Daniel Craig on this... if you say that's a bad match for the type of stuff read in these books, and to judge without even seein the flick, I will find and give you a slight slap for being unreasonable.  Of course, this is coming from a girl who preferred The Departed over Infernal Affairs (both offered something good in their own way, I just found one more enjoyable than the other).  And if TV-karma existed, then the US version of The Office wouldn't have ran passed a season.

At the very least, film wise, it'll be great having two interpretations to the material.  Don't complain about "another flick", celebrate "more material" from a great source.

EDIT: And reaallly, guys???  The Swed flick wasn't without flaws??  Mmmoookay.

Kinda cool???

DJ Deadmau5 got a sig from Shig, and had it tattooed on.  He also has a heart meter tattooed on (with a few missin' D: ).

Man, if I was toing to start listing WRPGs I'd start with South Park. At least that has the gameplay of Paper Mario apparently.

Yeeaah... I'm realizing despite whatever past love for JRPG, it's time to move to greener pastures.  So long as a game is good, whatevs...

Also: Atlus is teasing some new game... maybe some potential thar.

Doesn't seem like there has been a jrpg for the xbox or ps3 in some time.

Sorry, but that's just howitis.

Omg awesome
If that's true, then it makes me want the game.

I'd love to cuddle with a bath towel though (blankets/towels out of the dryer?)

Dice, if you get a chance, you need one of these... or something like it:
http://www.brookstone.com/towel-spa-towel-warmer-blanket-warmer

We got one a while back (although I'm sure we didn't pay whatever they cost at Brookstone), and it's soooo nice to get out of the shower to a nice, hot towel. :)

:O

Merry Christmas...Me.... ;___;
God bless us everyone.

Cheesy trailer, but I like!

I almost want a Wii version so I can cannibal-cooking-mama the whole game. :D
7155  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: What's the haps? on: December 11, 2011, 10:01:38 PM
That looks like me doing my little shimmy after i get out of the shower

I love shower routine, it's the best routine.  I love throwing two bath towels on... it's a shame they're meant for the bath, I'd love a giant blanket-bath-towel.

I'm of the opinion that bathrobe is just a towel with sleeves.

Nah... some bath robes get too fleecy.  That, and they're only good for so long.  I don't like Hugh Heffing-around in one.  Only good while you're wet.  I'd love to cuddle with a bath towel though (blankets/towels out of the dryer?)
