I've always thought about this question -- but with movies.

Id' love to take like Lord of the Rings or Tron (both CGI fests of different genres) and wow an audience in the 1950's haha

No idea otherwise.  I'd actually have rather answered this with movies, games got too good too quick.  And I still play a few old titles. x)

Who are we kidding, this is Nintendo trolling us at this point saying "Hey look! Another game for Japanese you dirty round eyes aren't going to get!"

Posts like these annoy me. I say with with all do respect, but being a Tales fan also comes with an army of pessimists.  It got sooo annoying to go to Tales forums of any sort.

Alisha, you hit the nail ON THE HEAD. And your comparison to Gundam is spot on. When I watched SeeD, it was one thing that stuck out like a sore thumb: every strong female character devolved into a gooy wimpering mess by the end, as soon as any male character of moderate importance walked into the scene. Xenogears does exactly the same thing, "women can be strong, but only as long as they don't fall in love." No matter how badass they once were, they're all just giddy housewives at heart.

That's actually a really good point you both raise.
Now I'm trying to think of a time when this was handled gracefully...

I have a feeling after tonight's Blackhawks game I'll want to kill something. So I'll be playing Dead Space

My dad and I plan on watching.  Fortunately for him, and unlike you, he's still living off the high from last year. x)

I breezed through a tween version of Pride & Prejudice called Prom & Prejudice.  ....yeah, don't point anything out about me.  And that's how I got through the 4 hours between classes that day.

Anyways, reading some fantasy novel right now.  It's a nice break from studying....it is more reading, but it's at least reading I *want* to do.

Tales of Vesperia. According to the game, I do not have a life. Thanks, game!

BTW Estelle is really obsessed with boobs, isn't she?

I'd actually prefer her size...

Yeah, it's a good size. Why would she want them to be any bigger? Yuri doesn't care. Rita doesn't care. And if she wants Raven's attention, she should just give him that hug he keeps asking for.

Funny all this talk happened, the next morning I got my one-coin Estelle figure! :D

I'm in love with the original Fujishima art of her (didn't care much for her more geeky in-game look), the pink was surprisingly never over-bearing and she's calming to look at.  Pretty cheap, and decently painted. :)

I got that, and a Nendodroid.  I've always wanted one.  My geekiness has been cured.  I got them both beside my Ezio figure.  It's a strange contrast.

Why is it that everytime I think of the plot of this game (Girl is cursed! Feed her meat!) The gameboy SaGA victory themes keep popping into my head?

"Duuuh do do do do do do do do dooo...dum dum! Your girlfriend has turned into a slime!"

HEY enough!!  ...It's very nutritious.

Yeah I got nothing.  Hopefully they release more info soon.

It better be fucken revlolutionary -- I hate the Pokemon style of breeding, let alone games that require monster hunting.

There was only one brief instance of physical abuse, I don't know where sexual abuse is coming.  Besides, the Japanese posts that *do* get translated are the ones that are far-fetched and over-exaggerated.  "OMG< ABUSE IN EVEREE EPISODE!!!" is stupid.  I think people are making a bigger deal out of it than it is, and I think it sets up the story in a pretty good frame; she leaves her idiot mother to go the a place that's much less the paradise than it seems -- the story will be what she makes of this new place, no?

Was it much to slap-out the girl?  Yeah, but perhaps that was the point; but I'm not really one to question plot like that from whatever the creators are trying to establish....but yeah, I would if slap-outs keep happening.

Double Dragon?
Dungeons and Dragons?
Double Ds?

How can developers make a street brawler like Double Dragon work in this era?

And give the "pointy" splash image, I hope it's not Double Ds.  The only obscure breasts that are kinda cool were found in Total Recall.

Fuck that, the battle system looks awesome, do want, over XB and LS.

I like the fact some sort of pudding-blood oozes out.  Mmm.
