Haven't been keeping up w/ this thread whatsoever but... you know what movie wasn't good?

The Social Network.

Also, @Azreal and Mickeymac... prepare to be disappointed by Perfect Blue.
I loved Millennium Actress but... Perfect Blue sucks. Could tell you why but it would spoil the movie... in that the entire plot of the movie is what I didn't like.

Agreed about that actually.  While still a good work of his, it definitely suffered and didn't age all that well.  One freaky part gave me goosebumps though.

I do full-heartedly recommend finding "Memories" by whatever mean's...(hurhur) just for Satoshi Kon's feature "Magnetic Rose".  I was squeezing my pillow so tight by the end - it was amazing.  It's 45 minutes long, and definitely give s whole new meaning to Space Opera.... because it literally-izes it???  Shame the movie is so hard to find actually (mind you, the first segment, Kon's segment, was the best... so it's downhill after that...)

The thing I remember about SO3' battle system was the AI breaking and then Kurt went and got stuck in a corner. And it still wasn't full-manual Tales-style combat. Also one of the things I liked a lot with SO2 is that the skill system gave you stat boosts in battle as well as unlocking new special techs and whatnot. SO3 didn't really have that from what I remember although I don't remember any of it, as has been established.

I thought the skill's system in SO2 was what ultimately made it too easy.
I loved the challenge of SO3; the right normal enemy could provide a challenge - and I'm sick of games that require grinding as the only means to victory.  While story was, Tri-Ace games are usually a turn-off, the titles have often provided a better sense of accomplishment to me because of smaller focus on levelling.

God I think SO3 is the least memorable game I ever played.

Battle system wise - it was the most stimulating.  I hate waiting for the ATB to fill up, I wanna attack NOW NOW NOW.... it makes more sense too, no?
I'm actually surprised at the lack of love Tri-Ace games get, given their battle systems are more in depth than half of the RPGs out.  C'est la vie.

Giant Bomb Mailbag: Katherine-With-a-K Edition

Unboxing full of pink and the best cover art ever.

I'm sure that if I saw that guy on the street, carrying nothing at all, I could still RECOGNIZE him as a gamer and start chatting him up on it.  Stereotypes kinda exist....

I like K Kath! =D
Woo woo for women with glasses!  We look smarter than the average bear.

I know a few women who had a really hard time when they started wearing glasses, it was a nightmare for them, but they actually looked classy with them.

My first pair were hideous, I hated wearing them.  I honestly think the right pair can actually work really well for people.  Look at Tina Fay, she actually doesn't need glasses from what I've heard - just does it for 30 Rock

I'd let Neil Gaiman rape me if it meant some of his greatness would rub off.

But what about Neil Diamond?

Would hitting that make me a lesbian?  Pfft, I'm no longer a college freshman, that phase came and gone....
I'm back with the rugged face of a man with a scratchy five-o'clock shadow that leaves my face burning.

I always liked card games.  Tales of the Abyss and Vesperia made me happy for poker (it was waay too easy though).  Trip Triad got ridiculous by the end though - the rules annoyed the fuck outta me.

Heh, I liked Chrono Cross' North, East, South, West game. =P

Stephanie Marie Sabibiblio has a mid-term right the fcuk now and has studied very little compared to the week's worth I usually do (but paid good attention in class).  WISH ME LUCKKKKK....   D=

I think my review for Never Let Me Go a number of pages back was about the exact same.  I hear novel-readrs weren't as fond, and I'm going to have to say (I didn't read it myself, but this is something that readers usually do complain about) is that it definitely should have been longer.  I loved it too - I think I had tears building up in my eyes after they see their old principle.  Seeing her in a wheelchair - do you think she rejected clone donations???

Just bought a SNES on ebay for about 40 including shipping. console looked in awesome shape (no yellowing) and came w/ 2 controllers and 2 shitty games.

I'll probably try and hunt down donkey kong country, mario, yoshi's island, metroid, zelda, and maybe a few others.

Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma, Kirby Super Star (maybe 3, but meh), Chrono Trigger (if you like it and aren't sick of it by now) jump to mind.

Terranigma I don't think I'll ever forget playing (story was ground-breaking for the time), and Kirby Super Star can't be pawed off me unless I'm dead or catatonic (in which, you have better chances of the latter, because I've told myself "I'm immortal" so many times to give me confidence for my mid-terms that I believe it).... I'm so fucking tired.
How could either of you forget Earthbound. Fucking Blasphemy.

I'm not dropping a $100 on a game :)

I was bidding on a set that included some Kirby games but lost out. I'm glad I did because it ended up going for 80. Getting a good looking system was a priority and I got a good deal.

I've never actually played Chrono (save for a quick jaunt in an emulator). Illusion as well.

Maybe I over emphasized.  I have Kirby Super Star Ultra, so I don't really need Kirby Super Star anymore... >__>
*walks away whistling* (it's too hard to find an emoticon for this, let alone that has notes that appear on RPGfan's black backdrop)
