Son of a Fucking Bitch!

This better not turn out to be another Terrenigma.

Yeah, as opposed to another Chrono Cross, Xenogears, Threads of Fate, Tales of Destiny, Tales of the Abyss, Arc the Lad 1-3, Legend of Mana, Lunar Silver Star Story, Lunar 2: Eternal Blue, Parasite Eve, Persona 2, Tactics Ogre, Xenosaga 1, Xenosaga 3...

Do I need to continue?

Have all those really not hit Europe??

Hell, have Xenoblade if that's the case, I'd almost feel bad NOT importing at this rate.  How interesting though, good for Xenoblade [Chronicles]!!  Enjoy the tasty music, albeit muddy-ass raphics.

Wasn't it the platform MMO?  Yeah - who cares.  Good, they saved themselves some time and resources - more actual titles!

Check out this 18000 word review as to why the game is a shit sandwich.

http://www.actionbutton.net/?p=630

I almost checked it out, but I realized I don't need 18,000 words worth of complaints.  If I wanted that and some humour, I go watch Yahtzee do it.... or listen to my mother (BA ZING, jk)
7669  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Legend of Legaia on: March 30, 2011, 09:48:24 PM
I couldn't stomach either Legaia game largely because battles are way too fracking slow.

I agree. It's a problem with a lot of late 90s/early 00s RPGs that the developers were too in love with their attack animations and overcomplication that it often slowed battles to a crawl. I prefer simple, fast turn-based battle systems (like the first two Suikodens or Press Turn) without having to input and watch needlessly lengthy multiple hit combos just to make an attack.

FF8 took years off my life. ... lierally.

It's love.  Some members we hate on, some we just pick on.  Big difference in who we hate and who we pick on.

Ah, you sweet talker you. Is that what you say when a copper pulls you over. "Well, I liked you so much I was only speeding, usually I am mowing every motherfucker down like garden weeds".

I know it doesn't make any sense, just go with it.

How about "I was speeding hoping you'd pick me up ♥"

My dad's a cop; usually I just "happen" to flash his business card and I get off with a warning.

Annubis' reply about his name made me giggle x)
Dice is surprisingly taken often too.

i am now a fan of hatsune miku :o
i'm not gonna discuss the lyrics because i dont like argueing with idiots.
just want to clairify something because some people are idiots. the lyrics are NOT the reason i like the song. also like worlds end dancehall and i dont even know what the lyrics for that one mean.

Baah.. I thought that was a real, real hologram at first.  Some of Miku's stuff is okay - I find a lot of her songs really overrated though.

In Canada, we usually get this.  Mind you, at this time of the year it just serves to wet the ground a bit, for the grass to be that bit greener and all.

Funny, a guy I follow on Twitter is a History teacher at a Uni and he showed me the exam paper that his students are going to be doing. He brought it up because it's needlessly hard apparently and he is worried his students might not manage it.

Long shot being the same one you are going to do Dice :P But I have a copy of it if you want.

If he is Canadian, from "Sauga", and has an exam based on food history... then yes.

GODDAMMIT I'M HUNGRY.  STUDYING FOR SHIT TEST WHILE STOMACH DOESN'T STOP GOING "MRRRPGHRRRBBBLLEEERRAAAWWW" ISN'T GOOD.

Eat another student.

Eat the brain to gain his knowledge.

Where the heck is Sauga? Never heard of it.

I almost did.  But he was stronger than me.  I took a nibble... of the foot.  No knowledge protein in that, unlike the brain.

You haven't heard of it because I put it in "quotations" because it was more a nickname for it....

What's Star doing watching a History professor on Twitter anyhow...?

I love Top Gear.  Here's what you do with money and technology at your disposal, and because normal "darts" is a bore to those with proper resources!

Tommy Chat Just E-Mailed Me!!!  Not for the faint of heart - we watched this in Visual Culture.  It makes me incredibly uncomfortable and I think deters people from the visual arts.

Haha I loved the 2nd title, it was one of my first PS2 titles.  The music was fucking amazing (for the most part), amazing collaboration of SAKIMOTO and MITSUDA... *girl squeel*!! xD

It was kinda bare bones, and bland, but I found it fun.  I thought one of it's major flaws, even aside the random combos but, was that you needed longer ones for more damage, but the more attacks, the looonger battles are filled with special attack animations.
7679  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky on: March 30, 2011, 08:46:40 AM

Man, this game sounds a lot like Mother 3 in some aspects. But the fact that is the first part of the trilogy almost kills all my interest to play it. There's nothing worse than a "To Be Continued..." screen before a well-executed cliffhanger with a preview to the next chapter, ugh the pain.

I really hope that the game gets good sales though.

Badsanta there responded to my similar concern that apparently there is a nice story (*with* wrap up) in THIS title...  So, not that they're actually independent, but they allegedly do fine on their own.

I'm kinda worried about gameplay now haha
I don't want a game that's pure plot & characters.  I gotta read the full review, barely have had a chance.!!
