I loved the 3 Stooges as a kid. There was one where they tried to do 3D (i'm not sure if it actually was originally) and they did the throwing stuff at that camera like every scene.

Now that I'm older... I appreciate the Marx Bros. more :)

I love flipping late at night to see Marx Bros on.  UNREAL how well their comedy has aged - it still has me in stitches.  Duck Soup (of course) and Night at the Opera are my favorites.

I loved this one radio excerpt where (IIRC) Chico is told to look after gifts at a party so they're not stolen.  The guest comes back and see that all the gifts are gone.  He ingeniously replies; "I was watchin' the presents the whole time!  First a man came into the room.  Then he picked up all of the presents.  Then he left out the window.  I saw the whole thing".  ba dum tss!  Love it. =)

In regards to Avatar.  Meh.  Get around to it if you can.  The most accurate review to this day is it is pure Smurf Pocahontas...
If I were Jake Sully I would have slapped his tribal blue-woman for confessing to her royal family the they had just slept together (which causes village panic...good move there wench).

I hated Kick Ass.  It was good...once.  That, and I hate Nick Cage.  The man died to me in the 2000's +.

I just watched "Never Let Me Go".  And I'm throwing it up with the year's better titles.  It is a different take on the "love story", and it's extremely haunting in it's dealing with fate and death.  Basically it's a story about clones raised as destined, but living, organ donors (after 3-4 donations, you are "completed"; aka clone dies), but takes on the ethics and emotions of the clones themselves.  It's not a happy ending - but a curious story.  BRR..
I'm sad it was an overlooked title.  But Carey Mulligan is proving herself to be an incredibly capable actress, and I look forward to whatever she takes on next.

Toy Story 3, definitely.

Other memorable 2010 films... Inception, Scott Pilgrim, Shutter Island. I didn't get around to seeing The Social Network, looking forward to seeing it later on in '11. The King's Speech hasn't been released in the U.K. yet I think. I really wanna see it. :(

How is brit film, THe King's Speech, released in NA but not the UK??  Fuck me, that's shafting...

3 hours into Tales of Graces F. About 30-45 minutes is not knowing exactly where to go, but I'm navigating fine and understanding most of the story so far. I'll probably need a guide here and there and to help in combat (titles, weapons, artes, etc.)

I worked with x360 Vesperia to PS3 - still not always easy.  I wish you the best of luck, please keep us posted how it is. =D

Star Ocean: The Last Hope.  Beat Ethereal Queen!  YAAAY!!  I don't want to say she was easy... I came OVER prepared (basically all the "laser" equipment had 12 tri-emblems synthed to it plus maxed resistances), but she still puts up a fight.  I wanna fight her 4 and 6 winged versions.  The game is done otherwise, may start again on a harder mode.
7746  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Happy New Year! on: December 31, 2010, 03:23:44 PM
For some reason I always feel as though when midnight hits I will feel different - we certainly build-up the countdown enough for it haha

But anyways, indeed.  HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL!! x)

EDIT:

Here we go some sort of creepy highlighter picture I made to celebrate!  I was too lazy for proper colours...let's just say it's "modern".

I can't remember what all I've seen....argh.

Inception is way up there.
Tangled.
Gotta see Social Network, and True Grit and King's Speech.  More later?
What a useless post...

Oh wait I should totally make my fursona my avatar here. Although I don't think it would still be particularly visible if I shrank it down to avatar size.

idk what is the max size again?

I go 95 px to be safe.  And please do.. fursona there is awesome! haha

And Grim: sorry, I meant that but I was sick and my head full of mucous and I poorly worded myself.

Tits. and a penchant for promiscuity.

You can't say women have a penchant for promiscuity without saying men do too--it's something I dislike about people in general but it's unfair to just say women are the only ones who do it when it's blatantly not true.

Boobies are great though.

I like boobs too.  And yeah, men and women are equally bastards sometimes.

Very appropriate, thank you.

The game looks stunning (though, with that much rain, you'd think the blood would have washed odd.....eh, nuance).

Hopefully, with Squeenix at the helm, it'll learn from FF13 and incorporate great graphics...and better gameplay.

.... I realize that avatars become a subconcious identifying marker for a person.

For instance, Dice, I'm starting to picture you with purple hair.

I know how you feel.  Sometimes I feel like Clint Eastwood is talking to us about video games, some creepy Yoda-cartoon is prancing around with magical gifs, and you're gonna transform from a lady into Optimus Prime.
I feel Kstar is adorable, and Mesh is having trouble crossing dimensions.  Meanwhile, I feel Grim Reality is misunderstood as a family man who means business.

You can get this for that special lady in your life. No matter what the occasion, it's bound to please.

How....awkward....? ....!

Dice:

My avatar was originally that creepy-ass chair from Star Ocean 4. The one with the face that looks like it's about to rape the cute little android girl sitting on it. I made it my avatar because that chair was awesome.

then in another thread I'm just like shit let's all make our avatars be Macha, and decided to shop Macha's face onto the chair because Macha is awesome.

I like how you put my name there. Thank you Mesh, I knew it was SO4, I just couldn't peg where... and why.

I like the attemped Macha face that's sort of digitalized in there...

1. What holes?

2. No, combat is not poorly done. It takes menu-based combat and integrates real time elements into it allowing for more tactical decisions than your standard SNES-era RPG. Plenty of games ave come after that did this better, but CT was one of the first.

3. Though the characters aren't very well-developed, they do have enough charm to be likable.

4. The mechanics are more-or-less identical to any SNES Square-era RPG, which set the standard for that and the following generation.

The thing is, you can't hold today's standards to games produced in different eras, it doesn't work that way. Chrono Trigger excelled as much as any top-tier SNES-RPG while looking and sounding better than most of them. Sounds like all the hype rubbed you the wrong way.

I have to agree.  If anything the only problem the game has nowadays is age (its fifteen bloody years old) and overplay.  It was a title ahead of time (no pun intended...?) and was a joy to play.

The game was pretty on par with a lot of the best RPGs at the time, and still did some things better.  The time plot is a tough thing to execute, but I thought it was played out well here.
