Oh, another warning, the dungeons in the DDS games and Nocturne tend to be extremely long. The final dungeons in each of the games are so huge it's ridiculous.

Although, I would buy Amazon being around after the apocalypse. I'm not sure why I would buy it, but I would.

Graces was the only game aside from the original Destiny that we got from Team Destiny. They made a lot less games than Team Symphonia IIRC.

I'm curious about what's happened at Namco Bandai. With a couple fumbles, they've suddenly really gotten into the niche RPG scene in North America. Tales of Graces f, Tales of Xillia and Ni No Kuni, I can see them expecting a profit, but Project X Zone? Are they trying to muscle in on the Atlus/Xseed/Aksys/NISA market?

I hope they handle it better than with Ni No Kuni.

My point still stands. Western developers and publishers were way too fast to write it off.

It might happen, but I don't think it's likely. X-2 at least has enough tweaks to it that doing that would be really silly. Now, Last Mission, I can see that happening.

It didn't have a very strong start, and a lot of publishers assumed that it was in the same boat as the PSP, which bothers me since a strong launch line-up is really not the norm any more.

The really annoying thing about the Mana compilation is that the World of Mana actually can maintain a lot more stories and each of the games under that title that got released had really interesting concepts and Heroes of Mana actually had a really interesting story. The gameplay just had huge problems for each one.

With the exception of the random internet analogue Dirge of Cerberus actually fit pretty well into the universe. The characters were a little to whiny, but OMEGA Weapon made sense in the context of the overall story.

Ok, that is a bit of a twist to the formula. You have the really powerful attacks, but you need to ration them out in long battles or you become much more vulnerable.

I'm waiting to see what they do with the story.

You know, there's actually a lot less direct rip-offs in jRPGs than you'd think. There are some, but almost all the different franchises tend to have at least small quirks to the basic formula.

In this case, they don't actually have to do any of the localizing themselves, so it's probably cheaper for them than most similar projects.

I have the European version, and it's a lot of fun. Kind of clunky, but I'll be keeping an eye on the developer.

I'm getting it, but my copy of X was scratched and won't play and my copy of X-2 went missing during renovations. I think it may have ended up in the wall. This is cheaper and has a bit more content then if I just bought the PS2 versions again.

I liked the two they released for the GBA.
