With Kingdom Hearts though, there were actually games released in the series in between. And they didn't announce Kingdom Hearts 3 or whatever way before they even started it.

If Rising Star did the programming stuff, couldn't XSeed still release it?
273  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Dragon's Crown (Vanillaware RPG, Spring 2012 all regions) announced for PS3/Vita on: April 19, 2012, 11:22:41 PM
Well, this guarantees a better translation than Muramasa at least.

It's just creepy.

Yeah. Working Designs was...questionable when it came to lighthearted non-essential elements, but they did leave serious elements alone, and they mostly left the plots alone.

Eh, it's better than the wonky numbering of the Ogre Battle games. There's four of them, and only two of them are numbered, as VII and VI. Sting seems to be at least planning to fill the numbers out.

I'm looking forward to this too. It's Episode IX in the Department Heaven series, right?
I was a little iffy for a while because I couldn't figure out Yggdra Union, but I played it again recently, and it just clicked. Eh, the stories are always really interesting in Sting games.

Wow, that boxart is like, calculated to give people nightmares. Who wants to bet Suda51 had something to do with it?

Patapon 2 was released with a physical box even though there was no UMD. It wasn't a special edition, but this isn't completely unprecendented.

The Shadow Hearts trilogy is amazing.

Code:
Yes, Wilhelm is basically looping reality back to the start. It's implied that he has done it many, many times before. He needed to wait for Shion because she was the only one who could summon the Gnosis and Abel's Ark, and he needed Abel's Ark in conjunction with Zarathustra for it to work. Oh, and Wilhem is implied to be the antichrist or something like that, as chaos is implied to be the one behind Jesus' miracles.
Xenosaga is bizarre.

Sentai has announced that they have gotten the entire dub cast back for the DVd/Blu-Ray release. Just thought you might find it interesting.

283  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Xenoblade on: April 03, 2012, 09:01:35 PM
The gameplay is superficially similar to Final Fantasy XII, but it is far more fast-paced. I usually hate that kind of gameplay, but I really enjoy Xenoblade.
284  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: The Suikoden games (opinion thread) on: March 31, 2012, 11:02:31 AM
I found the True Runes thing really interesting too. In a lot of jRPGs, the gods are either evil or ineffectual or fake. In Suikoden, the True Runes just do their own thing and don't seem to even have a sense of morality.

And when a supernatural threat shows up, its usually linked to one of the Runes. Except for that tree thing in Suikoden 4.
285  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Sting and Idea Factory performs the Fu-Sion-Ha dance and becomes Super Sting on: March 30, 2012, 07:24:34 PM
I'm just wondering who would translate it if it got licensed. Atlus or NISA?
