No. Most likely not.

I'm really bad at learning other languages, but I had a French teacher describe English in this way. "English is a linguistic serial mugger. It runs around attacking other languages and stealing random words and rules without paying any attention to if they fit in with the rest of its collection." The only reason English is learnable at all is that it is at least somewhat phonetic. Imagine if Japanese or Chinese worked the same way. They'd be nigh impossible to learn.

That sounds like the Ar Tonelico Dualithnode crystal thing taken to a rather offputting level.

This game looks vaguely interesting. I don't have an issue with Compile Heart, so I'll keep an eye on this.

In this case, Europe is getting the better selection.

I personally don't like Atelier Rorona, but I'm not really a fan of that type of game anyway. A lot of the games that get decried this generation are actually not that bad. I actually liked Ar Tonelico Qoga, even though the fanservice was really annoying, and I like Agarest. Idea Factory's games don't tend to be great, but they aren't absolutely absymal either. At least not lately.

Tales of Eternia had their weird 'load point' system in the PS1 version too. Save anywhere, but when you load, you start from the last load point you touched.

Didn't Gaijinworks have something to do with that Miami Law DS game?

Why'd he name the company that anyway?

Game Arts is a bunch of different companies. Lunar was translated by Working Designs, Grandia by Sony and then Square Enix, Project Sylpheed Square Enix and so on. Oh, and the Lunar PSP remake was translated by Xseed.

The only things I remember about Grandia III is that it looked kind of nice and that the theme for that desert town was completely horrible. Oh, and the opening was a total earworm.

You mean Rock of Ages? Half the people I know bought that one.

Advent Rising's ending was just irritating. I got the PC version a few months ago without knowing anything other than Orson Scott Card's involvement, I really enjoyed it and I was furious when I found out about the truncated trilogy.

Xenosaga Episode III's ending bugged me, but they did the best they could, all things considered.

The only game I ever 100%ed was Xenosaga Episode III. I guess because it was really easy to totally complete. Otherwise, I just tend to get bored.

Apparently the big difference is that you can mess around with the turn order.

Yeah, the first Shadow Hearts is really dark and serious with only a couple examples of wonky humor, but the second one, Shadow Hearts: Covenant, while relatively serious starts to go in the humorous direction, and Shadow Hearts: From the New World went full on humorous.
