Even the Final Fantasy games with issues like XIII and Dirge of Cerberus are released here. I think the only exceptions are Final Mix type stuff, which this is not, and the cell phone games, which are because of technology issues. It's pretty likely it'll be released here regardless, even if its just a PSN game.

EDIT: I actually meant Final Fantasy XIV.

I personally find Namco Bandai's policies annoying, but it's less that they don't release any Tales games, and more that they refuse to release the 2d games for no clear reason. The last 2d game they released was Tales of Eternia (Destiny II) in 2000 and they never tried again aside from Nintendo basically forcing a localization of Tales of Phantasia for GBA which was frankly a rather bad port.

There was a period when they released a Tales game every year in Japan. This isn't exactly strange for Namco Bandai.

I thought Level 5 confirmed the NA release a while ago. It hasn't even been released in Japan, so it makes some sense that they haven't announced an english release.

I could never get Carl to work properly.

Well, at least Gamespot is consistent. The Persona 1 remake got the exact same score. Odd though, since there were improvements to the gameplay mechanics for Persona 2.

This interests me.

I guess the distribution method might be affected by how well the UMD copies of Trails in the Sky sold.

I'm not complaining, but I remember the announcement from ATLUS saying that Persona 4 was complete and that it wouldn't get a port or anything. I guess P3P sold way better than they thought it would.

Didn't Arc System Works want to make BlazBlue an RPG in the first place anyway?

Tales of Graces F, sometime in early 2012, and Tales of the Abyss 3DS, later this year.

I just know that if I get this, my friend and I will immediately play Aigis vs the pirate teddy bear. Her Aigis, me playing Teddie.

Atlus does seem to go through periods of nothing but ports. I guess if thats the tradeoff for pretty much all of their games being awesome, its not bad. They're not like Square Enix who go port crazy then release a bunch of lackluster games.

Wasn't Atlus in financial difficulties for a while though?
359  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Konami: The Suikoden Team Has Been Disbanded, We Have Lost Our RPG Know-How on: August 03, 2011, 09:24:28 AM
Part of the problem with Silent Hill is that the new teams didn't really know how to capture the "feel" or the gameplay of the earlier games. If Suikoden is given to a new team, it won't be easy, but not nearly as hard with capturing the feel of the old games.

Things like Shin Megami Tensei and Pokemon where you build your party out of the encounters probably wouldn't work well without them. Being able to dodge encounters would mean that there might be very good demons or pokemon one might never fight.
