The ending to Amber Spyglass satisfied me, so I think you should be okay.

Finished Perdido Street Station, a great book except for a few things that really stop it from being excellent.

every time i try to play tales of vesperia with an hour i start to feel sleepy. so i ask this. is it really that boring or is something other than the gameplay causing it to bore me to sleep? maybe a certain pattern of colors? or maybe just the fact that non of the characters really click with me?

Didn't you make a thread like this before? o_O

Fuck my useless memory.  Wish I remembered, you know, useful things as good as I can remember random things.

I was overwhelmed with a feeling of deja vu when I went to type that playing games in HD made me sleepy. I see why now, Past Me has already beaten me to the punch.

He's always one step ahead. Or behind. I'm not sure.

I took Suikoden Tactics as a Tactical RPG, and it delivered what I look for in a Tactical RPG. There were no disapointments.
Suikoden 4, as a main Suikoden game just didn't cut it for me. The characters were bland and not fleshed out nearly enough. Combat was okay, nothing particuarly distressing about it. However exploring was a pain and even taken as a whole, the story of the Island Nations just wasn't that interesting.

Ah, yes. I get you now. However, you've overlooked something. Yes, Europeans have always been willing to import games. They could import the odd game or two that didn't get realeased locally for whatever reason that may be (censorship, language barrier etc). And the rest of the time they could buy the games that DID get released locally as normal. They could play both imported and local games on the one console.

Now, because of region locking the choices are more limited. You could buy a cheaper, local 3DS and be only able to play what comes out in your country.

or

You could buy an American one and play what gets realeased in their country, which is usully a much wider selection. Then you would have to import every single game you wanted to play from thereon in from America because yours only plays American games. Your local games, which you can get cheaper, are unplayable on your American 3DS.

Unless you buy 2. Or 3 if you want to import Japanese games as well. I dont know about most people, but I don't have that kind of money.

You've never exactly been fond of the penis anywho.

You're seriously using the equation

Thoren = All Males

cause I can easily point out a flaw or two there.

I'm not sure I get what you are saying.

Because people are complaining about region locking, they are willing to import games? Surely the fact they are complaining is evidence that they don't want to have to import.
3356  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Nintendo 3DS Launching at $249.99 on March 27 in the US on: February 04, 2011, 03:05:27 PM
I don't think many people want to have to import every single title they want to play. It would cost a pretty penny.
3357  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: FFXIV Thread on: February 04, 2011, 03:00:07 PM

I don't reccomend that site.

Its places like Germany I feel most sorry for. When things are region locked this way a lot of people miss out because of the strict ratings system they have.
3359  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Nintendo 3DS Launching at $249.99 on March 27 in the US on: February 04, 2011, 02:52:18 PM
Yes, it's region locked. Because, well...um...because they can, okay?
3360  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Nintendo 3DS Launching at $249.99 on March 27 in the US on: February 04, 2011, 01:40:40 PM
i refuse to pay that much for a handheld.

I don't want to either, but I don't think the price will receed any time soon and there are games I want to play near launch.
