Beautiful  box art. I'm glad it's the same as the japanese. Just sad that I was thinking about buying this with the credit I got from SMT IV and I'll miss the box.
Maybe I should get this at retail and buy online some other game.

So my game arrived today but I'll only be able to play it in a few hours from now. Should I consider the DLC or anybody who owns it thinks the game is better experienced without it?

Also, I'd like to make another question. I've heard the Dex build is quite good, better than Str anyway, but my conscience is telling me to go Magic. Should I focus on another stat besides magic, like Vitality or Luck ?

I waiting on posting because I decided to think it through a bit and while there are some games, currently I'd say it's been quite some time since I touched them.

The first game I always come back to is Final Fantasy VII, what do I have to say about it? It's my favorite.
From this gen the one game I kept coming back the most was Bayonetta. I beat it about 5 or 6 times, simply love it.
Others are: FFXIII (don't hit me), Mass Effect 2, Persona 4, maybe some others.

In the end there are quite a bunch of games I'd like to replay, but due to an increasing backlog most don't get the treatment.

Im ready to give BoF V Dragon Quarter a chance.. Even if I dont like it, it's as close as I can get of a new Breath of Fire experience for the rest of  my existence.

This is the only Breath of Fire I played and I liked it a bit. I just hated that the best feature of the game, turning into a dragon, is limited because you spend points and they can never be replenished. So if you still want to play it, don't forget to keep this in mind.

Back the a friend of mine loved this series and highly recommended it to me. Guess this won't be the time I'll play it.

I don't get capcom, it seems every game of theirs has to have at least 2, if not more versions, which already piss a lot of people and now this. No wonder Keiji Inafune left.

I'm glad to hear you managed to beat and enjoy the game with a STR build.
I can't count the days for my game to arrive, the wait is killing me.

Anyway, do you have some recommendations to make the beginning of the gamea little less frustrating?

At least SE isn't charging for colors like Street Fighter x Tekken.
I personally don't see the harm in this many colors and costumes, as long as the core game is good I'll turn a blind eye to bouncing boobies, cat costumes and whatever they can come up with until release.

I'll get the game for PC but I must say I loved the controller setup. There were some instances I used the mouse to select through menus but being able to lay back and relax, especially while doing mundane quest is awesome.

In the past I've tried a bunch of MMOs and only recently until Guild Wars 2 none had impressed me and one thing I wished for GW2 was the option to natively use a controller, specially when you just want to explore the world.
In these kind of games where we play for long sessions, if anything I think we should try to be as comfortable as possible.

I don't remember exactly but I believe there was a quest about cannibals on Fallout 3 and I liked it a lot.

Triple triad: Fun, rewarding, variety of rules so never gets bring, maybe also can be claimed as "deep", actually requires quite a bit of thinking and planning.

I would consider it as a side quest since I believe that it's mostly skipable.

Best mini-game ever IMO

I don't know if it would count as a quest but if it does I'm with you, I loved every minute playing it!

I almost forgot, one of my favorite: Seraphic Gate in Valkyrie Profile 2. There isn't much plot in it but the dungeon is fantastic and it challenges you all the time, both with the regular enemies, bosses and puzzles.

If the beta is anything to go by as I haven't played 1.0, I noticed there were Japanese servers and everywhere else servers.

Aside from Persona 3 and 4 all of the SMT I've played I would consider a little grindy, especially when it comes to money. At least this time we have the DLC that makes us rich.
Talking about it, anyone got it and think it's worth it or somewhat helpful? I'm still waiting for my game and since I have some credit on my 3DS I'm leaning on getting it. If anything I want the freedom to fuse whatever demons I want without having to look at a guide and no fear of screwing up.

Steam: vittorioviegas  (I put the link to my profile to make it easier to find)
PSN: Yuna00

Now I checked I had already posted here in the past. Well, at least with the link, it'll make easier to find on Steam and I'll add my 3DS code tonight.

I was going to buy the game on release date but the steam sales didn't help. So now I'll have to wait until next month. If you're still playing by them I'd like to play too.

By the way, is everyone here getting the game on PS3 or Vita, because I just remembered that even though you can transfer your saves, you can't cross play.

I don't think it would be a system seller, it would be a franchise killer.
I really doubt Atlus could just keep doing their stuff as they like on Nintendo, not to mention eventually it would end up like other smaller games published by Nintendo that have never come to the west or the ones fans had to beg for it and someone else brought them over.

Don't get me wrong, I love a bunch of Atlus games on Nintendo's platforms (especially the portable ones) but I think them being owned by Nintendo would be a big hit in their creative freedom.
I also don't want Sony to buy them, as I'd prefer them to stay 3rd party, but at least Sony seems to give its developers much more freedom to try new stuff and time. The time it took for GT5, the game from Team ICO that never got released, their Siren team that also took their sweet time to make Gravity Rush and so on. Now the first two were huge money grabbers but Atlus games are a lot cheaper to make and have much smaller goals, so a game that takes forever to be made like Persona 5 could take its time and be ready just when it's ready.

I usually stack buffs constantly in my SMT games, but I haven't really felt it as necessary here. I stuck Nocturne's broken Fog Breath onto my MC and haven't used it at all despite being two debuffs in one.  Even Tarukaja, my go-to, isn't really as, er, go-to.

Edit: Admittedly, this may be my own fault.  It's pretty easy to make a brokenly powerful magic-using MC without much effort.  He doesn't need buffs to dominate every boss.

Recommended fusion for everyone: Parvati.
She lasted me some 15 levels and still ended up with a higher magic stat than level ~40 demons by the time I retired her because her low HP started hurting her performance.

Also, if you like mages:
Save ~70 App points for when you hit 30 and you can buy a MP recovery while walking App for all of your demons.
This thing is so broken, you'll never run out of MP.

I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive but I'll take this suggestion of yours to heart. If I can make a SMT easier, believe me, I will. Especially regarding MP.

In my second run through P4, in Golden, I made sure to get the skill Victory Cry in the first chance I got and I don't regret it one bit.
