Played the demo as a mage and had a lot more fun. I agree that turning off the auto attack option was idiotic, as the game would be almost exactly like Origins if I didn't have to spam the X-button all the time.

Guess I'll wade in here with my PS3 impressions.
I actually really like the new art-style, though I do think the opening area is kind of bland. The characters look better, and they certainly pop a little more out of the screen.
As for the combat on the console, this is a bit tricky for me. I'm really just mashing buttons, which is kind of boring and repetitive. That said, I really have to see what the game plays like on PC. I can see the combat remaining very close to DA:O based off the PC interface, so I doubt I'll see any grand changes that detrimentally affect the game.
Overall, the demo just confirmed to me that I'll be buying DA2 on the PC. Just seems like the proper place to play the game despite the changes to make it more console friendly. I can see the potential depth, but I need a mouse and keyboard to enjoy it.
Also, we'll be having a short episode of the podcast this week to talk about our impressions of the demo. Look forward to it!

The only real complaint I had against Demon's Souls was the camera, and playing the game again tonight really brought that key shortcoming to the forefront. I ended up dying twice because the camera spazzed out and I fell to my death while moving around. They really need to figure out how to keep the camera from swinging around violently during a fight and prevent it from getting caught in the environment. The camera isn't a deal breaker by any means, but it can be the most frustrating part of a difficult, but delightful, game.

The new episode is up, people!
Also, I bought DDS 1 and 2, but haven't played enough to really comment. Maybe I'll get a chance to with this slow season before Dragon Age 2....

Also, you don't need the Move controller to play Extraction. I'm having flashbacks to playing Lethal Enforcers on the Sega Channel....

Picked it up today and I'm on Chapter 4. Really liking the game so far. I was a huge fan of 1, and I think 2 is quite the improvement.
