Do we know if the PC version is getting an update on controls/content?

Episode 39 is live!  Enjoy our look at the FF13-2 demo.

Unfortunately, Lard, the Shadow Hearts podcast is looking like it's a ways off.  We are heading into a very heavy time for RPGs, and our biweekly schedule leaves very little time for us to get a retrospective in during the first part of the year.  I imagine we'll be able to talk about Shadow Hearts towards the end of March or beginning of April.  Sorry for the long delay, but I promise it'll be worth it!

I see three distinct styles/tones in the trailer.

-Leon in an old school, spooky zombie-filled environment (yay!)
-Chris using cover and fighting gonados like RE5 (boo!)
-Some Wesker-like dude kicking zombie ass with fists of fury (interesting...)

Let's hope the co-op isn't nearly as forced as 5.

Playing on PC myself, and it looks significantly better on a proper rig.  My only worry is that the text size and minimap are so small that it makes it hard to read.  Hopefully that will be resolved in the full release.

Sounds fun, but I actually don't have a 360!

Episode 38 is finally up!  Sorry it took so long, gang.

Thanks for the kind words, Perigryn.  I always struggle to make sure that the language of my review matches up with the score, and it's a fairly difficult thing to do at times.  Hyperbole in game reviews drives me nuts, though I know I can be an offender in this area at times.  Certainly something for me to work on.

It's a pretty long episode, and Zack is currently in the middle of editing the thing for us.  He's a real trooper when it comes to bleeping out John's foul language or cutting out some of my more inflammatory remarks.  Hopefully the podcast will be up soon.  Stay tuned!

Just letting everyone know that we're recording our end of the year show early next week.  Hope y'all are looking forward to it!

Manged to play a little Path of Exile the other day, and it seems like quite a bit of fun.  Really excited to see how the final product turns out.

Episode 37 is up.  Enjoy!

Gotta agree with Stephen.  DS3 was built around couch-coop, and I think you'll get a great deal of enjoyment out of it.

Anybody else up to level 30 yet?  I love how they said there wouldn't be any level scaling like Oblivion, but every bandit in all of Skyrim suddenly went home, loaded up on armor, weapons and spells and are now kicking my ass.  It's certainly not as noticeable as Oblivion (gotta love those rats that still put up a fight after ten levels) but the game still scales with your character.

To IA-

The final boss is an absolute monster on NG+.  He can essentially kill you in two quick attacks.  Did you parry him to kill him quickly?  I tried but just couldn't get the timing down, so I used some helpful spirits to assist me.

It's a real shame because the rest of the game is pretty well balanced.  I can beat Smough and Orstein fairly easily by myself and I can even kill Four Kings after a few tries, but the last boss is pretty much a crap shoot.  I just hate the fact that one solid strike from the boss can put you into a stun lock and end the fight.  It wouldn't both me that much if the bonfire was closer to the boss.  Having to fight (or run) from five black knights on my way to a trial and error fight is quite annoying.
