Feel free to ask questions here and we'll try to get to them in the next show.

I was hoping for three hour long podcasts every week, but the nature of RPGs (not to mention the drain on my own psyche) prevents such a thing from being realistic.

You guys don't understand how happy I am that you all like the show.  It really means a lot to me.

I would say "no".

Maybe they were going for a Fist of the North Star vibe with New Vegas.  I understand trying to balance out the melee and unarmed combat because they were hard to work with in F3 (though not impossible), but this is pretty crazy stuff.  I used the Rebirth mod to start my character over again because I didn't want to slog through all of the previous visited content.  I can pretty much punch a deathclaw in the face and not even worry about him taking me out.  I feel bad for people that tried to play the game through like F3, because between the DT and unarmed/melee dominance you can easily fuck up a character in NV.

Holy shit!  I just picked up the ballistic fist weapon, and with no points in unarmed and an endurance of 5 I'm destroying everything in my path!  Seriously, I just took out the entire Legion with ease.  God, now I want to restart my game and use unarmed attacks the whole way through.

Wow, I just found out about the strength requirement on weapons in New Vegas.  Well this is great.  I usually start my character with 4 strength so I have a higher intelligence.  Now I find out that I've basically fucked myself because weapons like the anti-material rifle require 8 strength.  Damnit, that would have been great information to have when I started.  Again, a minor change from Fallout 3 that has a purpose and certainly makes sense, but also takes way from the overall enjoyment of the game, imo.

I feel like an idiot pumping my Energy Weapons skill up to 50.  Should I just go back and max out melee at this point?  I have, like, 80 in guns, and I don't really have anything powerful enough to put a dent in a Super Mutant Master at this point.

I made the mistake of dumping points into energy weapons, and I feel like my character is completely broken as a result.  I might have to start all over to put points into melee and see where that takes me.

Everybody ignore the troll.  He's more afraid of you than you are of him!

My one student is playing through the game again as a melee character, and he's having a super-easy time.  Seems like they forgot to balance the damn game before release.  I'm honestly tired of playing at the thirteen hour mark because I hate shooting something and doing practically no damage (even with AP rounds).
