If I'm not mistaken, they changed allagan gear that was identical to myth gear or they were trying to keep some kind of "theme" with the stats on the allagan armor, thus the changes. Too lazy to go compare it myself atm though. It's probably to offer some amount of horizontal progression there but the problem is of course that allagan gear is random as hell so it's not really a good idea to plan sets assuming you'll get x allagan piece anytime soon.

Trying to rely on Selene to silence would be a bad idea. Sch being a healer class  have terrible accuracy to begin with and pets have less accuracy then their masters.

Heh, all I know is that I've heard people running Turn 2 with SCH as one of their silencers, so I imagine its viable, albeit stressful for the SCH.
They free to run it that way if they want, i'd personally wouldn't like risking wiping on turn 2 repeatedly cause of the high chance selene would have with missing. Sure you could do it, but you are playing with the rng gods big time. The allagan boots were the BiS for smn now they are worse then the myth. Which means for SMN now 4 out of 6 body pieces Myth are best in slot. Only the belt(debatable) and pants allagan are better. They should have changed the blm boots stats and left the allagan alone.

Besides the obvious lack of proof reading, I fail to see why the patch notes are so bad. I did enjoy seeing the heavy thrust description 3 times in a row, but I liked most of what I read. I think the housing right now is nothing more than bragging rights for a free company, so the pricing is fine for the time being. The adjustments were fine for the most part (summoner gets nerfed for no reason though, odd). The gear changes for allagan were acceptable in my opinion. My only complaint is the obvious lack of stuff to do at BC level and the stupidity of the weekly limit for Crystal Tower items. Now that we have a 450 myth cap, full i90 gear is MUCH easier to accomplish, so CT is really a massive waste of time.
D, If you think 20 mil for hut the size of the inn room is ok on legacy servers.....then I have no words. 90% of the player base will NEVER get a house. Misconception about legacy servers most people don't shit out money that are on them. SMN, BRDs and WHM got raped in the patch, with changes that don't make sense. SMN A main rotation spell just wiped out with nothing to replace it, and Virus now has an 60 sec immunity. Brd Rain of Death which was a big help to everyone now changed to a worthless skill that will never be used. WHM had their ability to dps curb stomped.

I'm not even going to get into my disgust of the patch notes. I'm sure everyone in FC is probably tired of hearing it. So I have other happy news.

Rank 10 Attacker Choco - I officially have nothing else to level, period. /dies
LOL, we spent  most of the morning on vent trying to reason out WTH Square-Enix was thinking with some of these decisions. IT WAS FUTILE!

Seriously, what the holy flying Fuck is wrong with SQ-Enix? The land / housing prices are insane. This just blasted open the game to RMT with freaking TNT. Legacy servers have  it even worse.....sheer madness.

I'll do CT, don't get me wrong. I am just really disappointed in almost all the changes they did to it. Most of them to artificially stretch getting loot out of it as long possible, in a most likely brain dead easy item level 55 instance. Cause if it isn't THAT easy the DF thing will probably kill the interest in CT faster then the loot lock out.

Re: how hard is it to gather crystals
It's like every other mat where you get per press of X, it's mindblowing they made shard gathering so annoying. Imagine if RMT weren't around to bot the crap out of them, they'd be even more expensive.
There are ways to increase your crystal yields but not by much, those stacks of 1000 shards you've been buying would take hours to farm up yourself even if you went to the best spit for it (the dye areas).

So CT's getting a lockout of 1 item per week. "That's really stupid" was my reaction. Yoshi actually said people should rotate content...in a game that has almost purely vertical progression. I honestly have no idea what they're thinking other than "artificially lengthen content as much as possible", which will probably just serve to frustrate people.
its a piss poor way to mask the fact the game has very little end game progressive content. CT   was going to be the way people gear up alts and run things with fc members you rarely get to do anything with. I don't mind a loot lockout if it was sensible, but a week is freaking ridiculous.  I went from excited  about crystal tower to meh. Can't run it as fc or alliance raid,  can't farm for alts. As it stands it would actually be easier/better to gear an alt with myth gear which is higher item level then CT then actually do CT for alts, maybe use CT for accessories but that is just about it. That is if you are geared enough on your main to have that luxury. 18 weeks of stretching content is what they hoping for, which is when 2.2 if they are on time (lol) will probably be out.
edit: Square Enix said 2.2 would be released in 3 months . I added 1 month and a half as the Square Enix tax.

All hail StumbleButt! My KFC is full grown and ready to be BBQed.

Wait, you're Arrowny? Aren't you in my Roleplay LS? That's awesome! (And congrats! I keep forgetting to summon my chocobo when I'm farming for mats =_=)
Yep. I don't RP much, but I usually end up on RpPvP servers or things related. Phoenix Throne-Warhammer, Lumiel- Aion, Sunrest-Rift, Basilisk Crag -Tera.

I actually only just got to Turn 4, and I can definitely see how it'd be useful in there. Bard's my only 50 class as well and personally I would take a DPS nerf over a mobility nerf because I'd rather the classes stay unique and that's supposed to be Bard's strength. Well, preferably it would be neither given that 10% melee boost, but whatever, they're overreacting to cries of jobs being overpowered like every other modern MMO.

Yikes, grats on the rank 10 chocobo. I remember when my chocobo was Rank 2 and I thought the game was glitched or something because the bar moved so slowly, then I realized that was by design. I got my chocobo to rank 4 for some free cures in case I need it, but past that I didn't bother. I'd level my chocobo a lot more if they fixed all the gripes I have with the companion system (you can't queue and they eat your drops are the two biggest issues for me).
That bar just doesn't move.....soul crushing doesn't even describe it. I Lucked out and found a choco party grinding spot in south shroud to grind out 75% of rank9. Two groups pulling everything around the clock and it still takes forever to get any real progress done.

Finished Relic #6. It's starting to feel like Groundhog's Day. Been enjoying crafting some of the 2 star stuff and finding that some of it is actually better than Allagan with the right melds. I'm considering starting an alt so I can help with an earlier EST Coil team. Yeah I probably need my head examined.  2.1 cannot come soon enough.

Wow, 6 relics, easy-mode enabled. Pretty sad to see how this game has turned. If they are making it this easy they are going to have to start pumping out new content ever month.
You want hard mode get a chocobo to rank 10. That damn thing is straight up aion 1.0 grind.
this in spritbonding rank 4-8 not counting the 2s and white elemental crap
