;)

It was for once a good day to be a dragoon.

Guess I'll still have a tank offspec even in 3.0!

Heavensward:

I'm just happy we get to go to Ishgard and that the trailer is incredibly dragoon-centric.

Also the Dark knight tease from FanFest.

Carry on.

99 Nights and its sequel are terrible. I love hack & slash but I could not play either for very long. I just remember the controls being kinda awkward and the games failing at everything that DMC, Bayonetta and even God of War did way better... I didn't play a lot of DW, so 99N reminded me more of those.

Turn 9 music gets so weird at heavensfall.

I have no idea if we can beat this before 2.4. It'll be close.

also I'll be the only one NOT levelling ninja it seems.

Lot of us are on Hyperion, and some Ultros I think. Both pretty active. (check out the FFXIV name thread.. Not sure who there is still playing.)

Well whatever. Depends on how much a person gets to play. My first 1-2 weeks it wasn't much, then I had a bunch of extra time on my hands after that.

Not anymore. These days I just raid. :(

The story was fairly decent, and there is voice acting, but it's only in limited cutscenes. I on the other hand and glad we don't hear the VAs more - Minfillia's makes me cringe, for one.

Once you get to certain levels there's much more to do - other battle classes, crafting, gathering etc. When I started, it took a week or two but the game opened up a lot more after that.  There's even more to do once you're at endgame, and that + playing with friends is what kept me around for the past year. Like Hathen said, the boss battles are lots of fun to learn.

Though I admit if I didn't have a Coil (endgame raid) static, I'd be playing quite a bit less right now. Patches always bring me back though!

Not sure what to make of the nexus quest. Interesting.

But I am never, ever redoing my Gae Bolg sphere scroll/materia. 11 million gil says FUCK. NO.

Also why I cannot afford personal housing.

My Gae Bolg Novus (44 crit, 31 det) was... a little more pricey than expected, having broke 5 crit ivs and 10 (yes, ten) det ivs in the process. I estimate this thing cost me over 11 million. Guess that's why I'm a crafter.

Is that normal, or did I just have really awful luck...? I asked a couple people who went the 2 stat route and they only broke a few.

Oh that sucks hard. Hopefully tank loot didn't drop.

Tomorrow's also gonna be our first attempt (as a group) at Ramuh EX. Should be fun.

My group has been running turn 3 of bahamut's second coil for the last 2 weeks, and we've been mostly shitty qt it. Tonight, we got the boss down to 4 fucking percent and wiped because one of the mechanics was completely oblivious to our usual bard and she blew us up. I don't wanna be a dick about it, but she's consistently the cause of us wiping, albeit mostly because she's dealing with difficult mechanics and usually has the worst stability connection wise.

4 fucking percent....

Got the turn 7 boss (we've beaten her before) to 1% and then she went into enrage mode and started one shotting everyone. That was two nights ago... I'm still not over it. :(

Gae Bolg Novus tomorrow. Crit and det. I don't want to think of how many millions of gil this thing cost me.

Maybe it's because I'm not a healer or ranged (and they kite/stone adds and get fireballed by the boss all day long) , but I found turn 7 really easy to learn as melee. We nearly one-shotted it that night too. Turn 8..I still gotta see allagan field.

I like Syrcus Tower. Of course I made the mistake of rolling on a BLM belt. Even though I have a 50 BLM, I wanted to get tank gear first (I don't really need dragoon stuff unless a belt drops). And of course an UAT drops.... :(

Ha @ Greece for tying it so late. Nice.

The story in MGRR was fine. It's just not the reason I played it.

I still went through all the codec convos though. I think people are often too lazy to do so and write off MG stories because they missed out on the codecs. That and the general wackiness. :P
