Raids: Labyrinth of the Ancients (it's super easy), Binding/Second Coil of Bahamut (Second Coil is the hardest thing ingame atm)

Dungeons: there are tons, a few of them are hard-mode versions of story dungeons, which are still pretty neat.

Trials: Hard-mode primals (you do three of these anyway as part of your relic weapon quest), stuff like Chimera and Hydra (also part of the quest), Gilgamesh, Leviathan etc. And then there's extreme-mode versions. :D

Nearly all of them drop gear of all kinds - just pay attention to to the item level, item level goes all the way up to 115 at the moment. And those tomestones of mythology & soldiery can be traded in for equipment too.

You unlock pretty much everything through quests so they'll tell you some of this stuff anyway. First thing you want to start is relic weapon quests if you haven't yet. A lot of this stuff starts in Waking Sands if I recall.

...

Finished with Turn 2 of Coil forever. Finally got all my tank gear!

On the bright side, you can dye darklight gear now!! ;D ....

I totally dyed the casting pants purple but they look dumb with my gear and I really want the allagan ones anyways.

I guess the idea of grinding myth in Brayflox just doesn't excite me unless it's with people I know. At the same time I really do enjoy actually doing the book objective themselves, so I should suck it up. Especially if Novus weapons aren't far off. Problem is my FC isn't all that into the myth grind.

Almost got a BLM to 50, and already have some Coil gear for the job. That's also me being cheap and saving my myth for my animus books though.

I still don't have a master crafter book. :(

Is this really gonna get people to do PvP again? I doubt it.

Kind of surprised they wanted to put novus weapons into 2.25. Did they really think so many people would have animus weapons, what with that tedious atma grind and THEN shelling out 13,500 myth + completing objectives in nine books? I've seen like... maybe 5 animus weapons on Hyperion.I thought the next zodiac upgrade would be in 2.3 and even then I'm not sure I'd have done 7 more books by then. :P

I'm noticing how pretty some of the Second Coil gear is, though. Damnit.

Novus weapons. o.o

The grindiness is why I'm only doing it on one job ever (DRG). For WAR I'm not gonna bother no matter how cool the bloody Bravura looks. I'll just aim for Leviathan, soldiery etc. axes when I want an upgrade.

I also (still) don't have any master crafting books, so as long as i just get gear in Coil, it's easier to save myth for the animus books.

Been leveling thm. Almost at 30, so I guess I'll be stuck leveling archer to 15 at some point to get blm.

LOL.

Which reminds me, haven't tried Twintania in a while.

Got my atma weapon though. Never again.

I like the sliced up cyborg on the base.

Also hm. I kind of want the DLC just to complete my pS3 collection... or I could just buy it on PC. ;)

Yup, all done. Got my atma and whatever else weapons, crafted all the new BSM and LTW stuff, farmed Leviathan HM and EX, Gilgamesh and Moggle Mog EX for drops, one-shotted Coil turns 6-9 plus all the new dungeons, maxed out my beastman rank with the new tribes. Did I miss anything? ;)

Reality: I downloaded the patch and have since spent my time sleeping and working. Won't get to dig into it until tonight.

That dragoon in the video is me. :(

EDIT: Actually no, I'd fall off from a landslide, not his landing after a jump. Or I'll just stand in 2-3 plumes.

This game is really nice on PC. Whoa. Also I can take my own screens and stop stealing Mike's.

And that's only part of the patch notes!

Lot of stuff in the Q&A thread too. http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/154038-Letter-from-the-Producer-LIVE-Part-XIII-Q-A-Updates/page2

The Emerald Shield got a house too ;)

Since the FC is pretty small and the small houses are getting bigger w/basement in the next patch, that's what we went with. Mandatory hot tub and all. Mist is awesome.
