2) Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
Many critics have criticised it's difficulty. Now, just because it's hard...doesn't mean it sucks. Radiant Dawn is a very good installment to the series. It just has a few flaws. However, these flaws don't mean it should get a 6.0 (GameSpot.....).
If people think Radiant Dawn is hard, maybe they should play the old Japanese FEs. Somehow I doubt the critics played Thracia 776...
Fire Emblem has never been as easy as the first three that came over here: GBA one (with Hector/Lyn/Eliwood), Sacred Stones, and Path of Radiance. Maybe Intelligent Systems thought the Western audience was broken in enough? Because seriously, even hard mode was a bit of a snore in those games..
But I'm biased and I digress.
One game I've noticed people love to hate (what? I'm too lazy to think of 5) is Xenogears. Although I'm not sure if the hate is entirely at the game, and not sometimes at its, er, fandom. Complaints ranging from, god this game is really fucking long (and then the same people go and bitch about how Disc 2 was rushed. MAKE UP YOUR GODDAMNED MIND), the graphics suck (yes the pixelly characters can be a headache :P), the story is complicated as hell for whatever reason (and it is, but I'll take it over a lot of stories).
But I know the game gets a lot of love too so maybe I'm crazy and just stuck on the wrong end of anti-Xenogears rants. =P
