Does anyone have a backlog of PS3 games?

I have a mental list, because I have no PS3 yet, but I know what I want to play for it. I can't think of an RPG in that list though :P

Digital Devil Saga, got through much of the Maribels' territory.

Still enjoying the game, although I got a tad lost and really tired. Got my ass kicked once for being dumb.

I, for one, really enjoyed FFX-2.
So did I.

If you can get past the sugariness of the first two chapters without developing diabetes, it's a pretty good game. I enjoyed the battle system, myself. :P

And 50 grand is a nice sum. Good for them.

I have way too many. There are some things that I just gave up on eventually playing, or hoping to play, like Suikoden 3, and sold. So if you just consider stuff I have and still intend to play, plus what I intend to get/borrow/steal/emulate (like Persona 2), I probably have just 5-10 games. I don't have the time anymore for a gigantic backlog like I used to have :P

Expect me to get RPG/MegaTen burnout by the end of summer, though. :P

I decided to start a new game of Persona 4 just for the hell of it.  I'm about to start up the Rise stretch of the game.  It's amazing how easy things can be when you have access to level 80 personas at the start. :P

What difficulty, though? :P

The second time I played FFVII it took me 56 hours or so to reach Sephiroths final battle without the Rounds Materia or what it's called. I have no idea why it took me such a long time. I've always been a hyper-slow gamer (LO: 62-65  hours, Rogue Galaxy: 55 hours, Mass Effect: 35 hours)

Nothing beats me and my 160 hours of Persona 3 in one file. :P

I don't like the yoga in wii fit. it's far too limited for my tastes. May I suggest real yoga classes? Or is that too far out of the video game realm... :P

The Babe Hunt in Persona 3 had my sides hurting from laughing at the lines.

Digital Devil Saga is awesome, one of the best turn based RPG's I've played.  The setting and storyline seems to be very hit or miss with people though.  I wouldn't bother playing the first one unless you own the second though.  Also, don't try to go for all the stat/carryover bonuses for DDS2 unless you have a lot of spare time.  I spent like 70 hours grinding my characters in DDS1 to max all their mantras out, just to get like +5 to all stats in DDS2.  Granted that's a pretty good bonus, but at the cost of like 20 hours I dunno if it's really worth it.   I think the SMT series basically beat the perfectionist/completionist out of me.

I've had one or two people tell me that DDS is 'too dark' for some, but it doesn't bother me. After playing - what did DR call Persona 4? Oh yeah, Rainbow Faggot Adventures :P ..I'm ready for a change of pace mood-wise. I do own both games, but I'd rather just play both, and if I get close to maxing all their Mantras (I tend to take time with my games), we'll see. Otherwise. I'll just enjoy the games in whatever way.

Exaggeration.  Midgar only takes about 4 hours.
Yeah, I recall getting out of there in about.. 7 hours max.

Aren't there a lot of sidequests though? Or am I just thinking of all the Weapons and getting all the Materia including the summons and all that chocobo crap?

Been about ten years since I played it, and the last time I loaded the game up, I was horrified at how badly the game aged :P

Proves that I should have paid attention in class. I did let the MC sleep every once in a while in class in Persona 3, too. Oops.

On another note, for those who have played both, which did you like better: Digital Devil Saga 1 or 2? I've just started 1, am maybe an hour in, and I like it a lot. (I do have 2 sitting in the 'to play' pile, too. =P) Nice change of pace from some bouncy high school kids for sure.

I BARELY started Digital Devil Saga 1. I love the look of this game. And the post apocalyptic atmosphere. And what the hell, my party just devoured their defeated enemies.

I'm going to love this game.

It really is cool, actually. As is the first final boss design.

But still.. this game and I... must part ways soon.

or I'll go crazy.

Edit: Okay, I'm done.

Cheesy ending, but certainly happier all around than P3's. The conclusions, including the true ending, really are sort of messy like people said. I guess it could be worse, but at this point I'm really just glad it's over.

HOLY CRAP WHY IN THE NINE CIRCLES OF HELL WON'T PERSONA 4 JUST *END*.

Why did I bother to go for the true ending, why.

DMC style anything always wins me over.

I found that it was just the academic stat and how I answered the questions. Although in Persona 3, I found that if I didn't study lots I got more questions that I hadn't seen in the classroom scenes. I got a couple of those in P4, too. In other words, studying really did make writing the exams easier. =P

A Persona 2 port/remake would be awesome. I don't care if it's EP, or IS, or both. Preferably both, alas we ain't that lucky.

As for S-links with multiple endings - in P4, do the S-links that can become serious relationships become different after you make that decision? Again, after only one playthrough I can't tell, and I ain't playing P4 again after I finish this lame True Ending business.

As for the, er, Velvet Room spoiler - well put.

Granted, you COULD eventually, maybe find someone with such will and desire to save the world, but they wouldn't have that AND the ability that only he had to seal Nyx away.
