I doubt this is new. Anyone remember those things from Xenosaga III you don't want to remember?
There's a lot about the Xenosaga games that I don't want to remember.

6 hours, 14 minutes. :P

It'll be good for two things: The commercials, and the excessively huge 50/50 jackpots that you can buy tickets for at the bars and stuff.

I didn't even know who was IN the Super Bowl till some days ago :P

I'm probably the only person in the world who still isn't sick of "Lollipop," lol..

Overplayed as all hell but I still like Lollipop. Dunno why. It's different, and I don't like Lil Wayne all that much. (People always compare it to T.I.'s Whatever You Like, which I don't get. Yeah, same producer but...) I like a few songs on Carter III, such as Tie My Hands, but overall I skip most of the CD. Maybe he got sick of that mixtape pace? He's got so damn many of them :P

<--Is Canadian:

We watched a video on them in Anthropology class, and I believe a few of them are being charged right now and were recently in the news. That would be the community of Bountiful, correct?

Also, I must admit, I was always aware on a subconcious level that this shit happens everywhere, but I fell into the trap of "It never happens in a CIVILIZED country!" which is, of course as this proves, utter garbage.
Yep, Bountiful BC. One leader had 2 wives, another 20, not sure of any others. But it's believed that a LOT of the girls were forced to marry or w/e when they were only like 15. The story's been going on for at least a couple years but I think it's the first time Canada's actually had to prosecute for polygamy (but I could be wrong...).

What? I knew we didn't have it yet but I didn't know we were like the past part of the world to get this damn game. WTF.

The storyline probably seems lame because it's just a remake of the original Fire Emblem for Famicom. Which was what 1990-ish? Eother way, the gameplay's always good.

I still need to beat the Wii game. :P

Roger, you'd be surprised at what goes on right under our noses in the US.  In that Van Halen video for "Right Now" over a decade ago, there was a snippet that said "Right now the US is doing things that we think only other countries do."  That says it all.

I'm sure a lot of us thought the Shanghai-ing in Portland Oregon was long gone.  But I mentioned in another thread that there are people in the US who pose as modeling agencies who "hire" teenage girls and sell them to foreign, mostly Middle Eastern, princes.  Analeigh Tipton, a contestant on Top Model, was scammed by one of those bogus agencies and almost sold to a Saudi prince, but she somehow got out of it.  So human trafficking and such do happen in the US.

I would've thought that arranged marriages were limited to places like India or Pakistan where they're still practiced, but it doesn't surprise me that very old-fashioned rural communities even in the US would do those old-fashioned betrothals.

I love that video you mentioned, and it's too true. :P Shit happens everywhere, just because we hear about fucked-up things happening all the time in some faraway country doesn't mean they can't be happening next door. Hell, here in BC we had members of some extreme sect of Mormons (LDS?) with like 20 wives. :P

Back to CT...

Anyone complete that extra dungeon.. thing? Sure it was lame and whatnot but you get some good stuff out of it and a lot of levels. Took me a little while to do though. Not gonna bother with the arena.

I also find FFVII terribly overrated. :P
3115  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: EGM shuts down; Ziff Davis sells 1up to UGO/Hearst on: January 07, 2009, 01:17:21 PM
Oh wow. I haven't read EGM in a long time and I don't frequent other gaming sites anymore, but it still sucks to hear. I met a couple of those people at E3s back in the day. Good luck to them. :(

Carter III? Really? :P

Another vote from me for Q-Tip's album though. I love it. And Erykah Badu's.
3117  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Boys, we missed out on something when we were kids. on: January 03, 2009, 12:54:02 PM
What the hell? :P Seriously? That WOULD be terrifying. And telling your mom isn't all that bad when you get your first period because you don't know WTF to do, but.. a party? I was good enough by comforting myself by eating a bag of M&Ms when I got my first period, thanks. :P
3118  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: The most spoiled bitch ever? on: December 21, 2008, 04:48:14 AM
haha I actually watched all 5 parts on Youtube. Both families are extreme and kinda scary, but the upbringing of the spoiled brat scares me more. I could never homeschool my kids but then again I sure as hell wouldn't give them a gift every day or do their homework. And I'm glad the feminist mom made the brat do a waitressing job to teach her a hard lesson. And I was real disappointed in the dad's reaction to Alicia cooking, I mean it was her first time. You can tell he's somewhat of a spoiled brat himself.

Locked In The Trunk Of A Car - The Tragically Hip

Not a huge Hip fan, but I love this song.
Same here. I forgot about that song actually. I love that and Nautical Disaster, but don't care for them otherwise. :P

I wanted to see more of her living with that other lady instead of her mom.
