Some people are so horrid. Ugh. My little sister has her first job in KFC, and she's doing really well there. I thought I would go see her and get a cup of tea while she was working. She told me she had the worst day yesterday because she accidentaly spilled some coffee on a woman, and the woman later rang up and complained about her, saying that my sister spilled it on purpose and that she was flicking pennies at her.

I know it's impossible for you guys to know, but my sister is the kindest, gentlest person on Earth. It is completely outside of her nature to do something like that. When I was a waiter in a hotel I accidentaly spilled coffee on a woman, so I know how awful that makes you feel, but at least i wasn't complained about and then lied about. Fucking assholes.

As Edea would say, mrgrgr...

I almost got fired from my first job because I wouldn't take shit from customers. I really hate the "customer is king" philosophy, because the "customer is a puckering asshole" is more apt.

Oh god this so fucking much. I've yelled at customers when my boss was right there. Because if they're being that shitty to me, don't think I'll fucking take it for any amount of money.

I really really love CT when the tanks aren't having an epeen contest. Bone dragon is mostly annoying if people kill the skeletons in the wrong place. I love the last boss and his AoEs... no, that's not sarcasm. The effect looks neat and there's enough little gaps in the AoE that I can dodge all of them really easily even as melee.

I've gotten super lucky lately. I went into CT two days ago hoping the dragoon pants would show up (it was either that or boots, and I wanted to buy the myth boots anyway) and they did on my first try of the week. In an alliance with two other DRG no less. Yesterday I did Duty Roulette and I ticked 'join party in progress' .... and I got a PT on Copperbell HM's last boss. The only reason we wiped at all was because we failed to communicate who was on the crystals. Basically it was 8 minutes of work for 90 myth. Score.

Still have to beat Pharos. We figured out the second boss on our second try so uh. Progress?

Edit: nvm, beat PHaros last night with a pug group. Real smooth run, only two wipes. No one talked in chat, we just did our thing. Took 40-45 min max.

Hyperion is constantly closed. If you ever wanna make a character on it, try in the morning. It's usually open then.

I dunno about exhausted. Not for me anyway, haha. I have yet to do Ultima or EX primals and I apparently haven't done CT enough to get gear for my job. I do enjoy the new HM dungeons although I could use a little more Pharos Sirius practice. I haven't run PvP since the day of the patch, and I really want to craft stuff for PvP and housing items to make my FC a little more gil.

I haven't even done Coil yet so I'm not anxious for the next patch.

Left 4 Dead 2 is free today on Steam. If anyone still doesn't own it yet.

Duty finder isn't always bad, I had a decent Haukke HM run earlier. But I was really wary of trying it for Crystal Tower so I went for party finder instead. Yeah I think I'll wait for mine/Tenchi's FCs before running it again.

While my first CT run was incredibly smooth (not perfect, but still smooth), the second one was a bitch and a ton of us bailed after 4-5 tries on the napalm. First the atomos boss kept glitching (we couldn't damage him even with the right amount of people on the back platform), then after starting the instance over the tanks from each alliance kept arguing over how to defeat the bosses and it turned into a general pissing contest.

And here I thought party finder might be slightly less painful than regular duty finder.

I was going to run CT a couple nights ago with Embryon but DF was taking ages so I dropped and did duty roulette. Naturally that would be the time when dragoon boots would drop and there's no DRG in his party. lol

Ran CT last night (collab with both our FCs) and it was a lot of fun. This dude from another alliance tried so hard and failed to explain the fights and then he was like 'idk I'm just a healer' haha. Didn't get anything but whatever, we'll likely run it again before the loot and myth reset.

Pharos kicks my ass. Copperbell and Haukke less so, but they're still quite the challenge. Can't wait to try Crystal Tower tonight. Did a little PvP, but only like 3 rounds where we all got our butts kicked by sleep. I really want to do more though. I love how many tomes I get from duty roulette. :D

Dragoon buffs are great. Jump/SSD/DFD are way faster now, I do more damage and the dots are a little more worth it. Can't wait to see what the DRG gear from crystal tower looks like, apparently it's onion knight-y.

Only thing I've been dragging on is beast man quests. I unlocked both sylph and amaljaa, but haven't completed any of their quests yet.

The housing area is unsurprisingly empty but the areas are nice. :)

PC version out January 9th. $30, but you can pre-order for $20, like, today.

I was able to make this a Christmas gift. THANKS STEAM HOLIDAY SALE!

Yeah, seems it wouldn't hurt for me to get IR, nerf or not. Thanks guys.

I have bloodbath, but not second wind. I'm not sure fracture is even useful now since they've buffed both Phlebotomize and Chaos Thrust. Everytime mercy stroke is mentioned, opinions are... divided. (I have yet to get MRD to 26.)

I still love blood for blood, but like Tenchi says it's situational, especially true for a dragoon. I was afraid to put it up last time we all did Titan HM together, so I didn't. Not that I don't have other damage buffs anyway...

Totally grabbing the patch ASAP, even if servers are still down. That's quite the download.

I guess I should be glad I only spent $20. Haven't started STILL because I got and started Ys. Whooooops.

Even with the nerf, is it worth picking up pugilist to get the internal release skill? I do like adding to my (DRG's) critical hit rate whenever possible. :P
59  Media / Multiplayer RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy XIV: ARR, a Thread Reborn on: December 16, 2013, 12:00:28 PM
I stopped caring, both my jobs got huge buffs and the biggest issues I have in game are now solved. Also, beat turn 4 tonight finally.

Yeah I have to admit, even though people say monk got more, and 'unnecessary' (?) buffs than dragoon... I don't really care. I'm happy with the DRG changes.

I'm still a little sore at the housing costs, but I'm excited for everything else in the patch.

Platinum pieces would be nice. Still, even with more ways to make money, even the depreciated value a couple months from now seems a ways off, at least on our server.

DRG buffs are great. Makes combos even better. The one they don't show in the English notes was full thrust from 300 to 330.
