@glassjawsh: Green... bread?

Capcom would probably fuck MML3 up to a heroic degree if they revived it :( Like it'd be a droidpod exclusive and everything would be DLC.

Cancelled Capcom games coming back in any way is something that happens very, very rarely. And when they do come back they are usually completely different to what they were at one point.

Thinking that Link is merely an avatar is selling short the kind of status and importance he has. And in order for a female Link to be meaningful everything around her has to change as well. Just offering a change of gender is too shallow when it presents unique challenges to make that into a different adventure with a Link with a different flavor than you bread and butter Link.

A lot of the other Nintendo series' are pretty good with their female/male representation, but surprisingly rigid with this one where Link is still a reincarnated walking-avatar starring in a title with the princess's name on the box instead of his.  It's ...just kinda weird.

Making the whole deal yet another edition of the war of the representation of genders is honestly more weird and unsettling.

As far as the title (The Legend of Zelda) goes, the meaning behind it is directly and exclusively connected with the original NES/Famicom game (Zelda being a legend among the people of Hyrule). Later going foward the subtitles are more representatives of the game themselves more than the "main title".

If you collect all the Omega Reports, you learn frrom a short extended ending that the one really pulling the strings is what's-his-face, the main villain from the then yet-to-be released Crisis Core.

So while the ending does leave it open for more sequels, I think it was really just put in there to introduce more coming elements of the extended universe projects.

That sounds how Resident Evil goes post-RE4. Capcom took Code: Veronica's ending and keeps teasing that the story keep going and going, when in the other side RE4 finished things in its own way with a somewhat open ending while riding off into the sunset not caring about anything else.

Is ironic how RE4 never mentions Code: Veronica in retrospective.

Is it true that Dirge of Cerberus' secret ending leaves room for a sequel? I saw an article on a fansite mention it and I remember seeing the ending while I was browsing videos once, and while I'm not into VII very much it seems odd to leave something like that hanging for so long... then again, making fans wait a stupid amount of time for anything is SQEX's specialty.

Anyways. It is true or not? I don't really have any experience with DoC so I'm asking out of curiosity more than anything.

What's the point?

I gave my argument already. Dismiss it with a "lol opinions" is lazy and I know you guys here are better than that.

You two can do better than that.

As a visual person, I also soured on the song when Tetsuya Nomura went artistically brain dead and made it a literal game concept by having a bunch of FF7 idiots running around with solo-wings.

...? Well, One-Winged Angel hardly has a chance to get any better after the arrangement in Advent Children.

Made me giggle.

I'm grateful that FF13's OSTs exist if that's enough.

Is true though. Keep bring up XIII, or X-2, in a masturbatory negative discussion yet again doesn't help anybody and dismisses (in a cynic manner) any merits both games have.

(someone who first played FF7 at age 12 would be 30 this year)

That's what I've found this deal with the remake, like I said before, annoying, redundant and manipulative. At the same, is better let this remake be its own beast and let all emotional baggage on the floor for once. With FNC and XIV 1.0 out of the way and XV and VII Remake finally materializing fans can focus on what they like most instead of being bitter.

@Andrew: Keeping rubbing salt on the wound doesn't make the bitterness go away you know.

I've heard that a lot of people rage quit this game. Hopefully I'll be able to get through it without that kind of frustration.

Going through The Evil Within with a thirst for blood is gonna get you killed easier than normal. Is as simple as that.

@Dice: Nomura is too much of a tease to be praised.

@Klutz64: Ironic with Ergheiz morphed into Dissidia and the rebooted Dissidia being in the hands of Team Ninja.

I went to EventHubs to check out Street Fighter V impressions and I made the typical bad choice of reading the comment section even though I know I should not do it, and there was this comment that sort of bother me:

"First SF5 tournament comes, old heads still get bopped, some will hate on the game and go back to SF4, and the cycle will continue until SF6 comes out, when it begins again."

Aside from the guy being extremely smug (you can read the rest of his comment here) and that the first couple of tournaments of SFV already happened, the thing he mentions of a "SF6" doesn't make sense considering that, technically speaking, Street Fighter V is the 20th Street Fighter as far as the main series goes. Whatever a fighting game is called that's just merely the logo or rather identity is known for publicly.

As far SFIV players going back to it for not liking SFV, that really goes both ways with SF fans being very stubborn when it comes to certain changes or additions at times.
44  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: E3 2015 Topic of Potentially High Hype and Crushed Dreams for that Game You Want on: June 23, 2015, 11:13:52 AM
This obsession that endlessly goes on with technical specifications doesn't bring up anything constructive when it detracts from what actually matters.

Lies & Hype: The E3 2015 Story -- Super Bunnyhop, YouTube

Two things: (one) is comforting that I'm not the only one that feels the same way about most of E3 and (two) Capcom put Nintendo's stream to shame with Street Fighter V. Nintendo throwing away their more approachable way of doing things for the sake of amiibos was a shame to say the least. Also, outside of Reggie being unbearable as a marketing machine, I don't know how many times I heard the word 'mechanic'. It was as ridiculous as the times 'sports' and 'content and experiences' were said constantly.

You mean that you weren't sad when they first announced this?

The whole deal with the remake and the announcement itself is more annoying, redundant and manipulative if anything rather than sad.
