Speaking in general terms as always. The quotes are there to reflect part of what I'm talking about.

Cindy's outfit is ridiculous and hurts her character.

That said, they can make Cindy titillating if they want, but she looks absurd as she is. It's not titillating as it is, it's just dumb. Her costume design isn't even good (then again, the all black fab team of the main cast isn't exactly that good either).

Making Cindy's design as is some kind of big deal is ridiculous to say the least. But then again, is not the first time I've seen people tripping over the same rock and doing the same tired claims everytime a game dares to show any kind of sex appeal. Attractiveness in general is inherently offensive after all, right? Hah.

Hate is a strong word to just throw it around like that, and yet, everytime someone doesn't like something they say they "hate it". Hate is a deep feeling of anger that's unlikely to away easily dude. A lot of times that "hate" is annoyance or frustration and is not any different from what fighting game players go through with the genre.

Also, and this might sound like a joke to some, when you are performing poorly is better to either take a small break or close your eyes, breathe slowly and let that rage go away before it builds up. Games that demand awareness and (varying degrees of) skill are always gonna get the best of you if you let yourself explode in anger. Of course, is easier said than done in occasions.

Stefanie Joosten and Akio Otsuka were with Kojima in the studio -- Metal Gear Informer

I haven't gotten around to MG Rising yet, but that's the game that seems to continue the story.

Rising it's a parallel story post-MGS4. A what if scenario if you prefer. It has no real bearing on the canonical side of Metal Gear.

@Caine: No. VIII has been one of the three most disliked games in the main series for years. That's of course in terms of its own fanbase. But then again, the fanbase of FF is as much of a mess of views and recontextualized arguments as the one that Zelda has.

If anybody likes it, that's fine. And contrary to popular belief I'm hardly enough of a fan of most of the games FF has, inside and outside of the main series, to care personally. Much of the joy and good memories I did got out of VIII was from its soundtrack and art direction. The same goes for many of others FFs on my end.

Thanks to those who replied to my question. I've reconsidered since then in getting Bloodborne anyway. Missing out on this would be a waste given for how long I waited for it.

That said, now I gotta see when I can get my hands on a copy.

My experience with Dark Souls is very limited but it leads me to believe that this game would be more enjoyable alongside other less stressful and dark titles.

I don't dedicate time to multiple games at a time because that breaks the overall feeling of the game for me by shuffling one game with the other around. But going to Type-0 and Mass Effect 2 to Bloodborne sounds pretty abrupt to me. If you can handled it then go for it, but like with Souls is for the best to focus on it as much as you can to get the most out of it (I said that from my personal experience with the series).

Deep Down management producer discusses concept, long-term approach -- Gematsu

Instead of quoting a small tease of the article I recommend reading the whole thing.

From what I've gathered in the last few months since I stopped updating the thread is that the project has been growing much more of what it was originally anticipated and it's slowly taking form, so all of those delays that the game has had seem to have been put to good use.

For the big MGS fans, how do you feel that Konami vows to continue the series after Kojima leaves?

I give my first thoughts on this news here. But to expand on that, how I feel about the continuation of the series without Kojima and KojiPro's involvement is that is most likely gonna be as awkward as it was for every other IP from Konami was in the past, when key members of their staff leave or go to do something else inside or outside of the company (Suikoden, Silent Hill and Castlevania were all heavenly affected by this).

That being said, there's still a lot of details we don't know and much less how is that this situation is gonna develop over time.

Are you happy there will be more MGS or are you let down that they'll never wrap it up and a convoluted story will go on forever?

Given how MGS4 already ended the timeline and overall story of the main series in the most definitive way possible, the only thing left for MGSV: TPP to do is (like Kojima said) close the loop on the saga.

Various aspect of the series should come together with TPP considering the place it takes within the series. But more than just that, one should never try understand the main series only in terms if it's narrative and continuity are consistent. The creative intention of Kojima's games (the Boktai series being maybe an exception) has always been to make the player read between the lines and think of the overall theme(s) the game in question presents.

Now, regarding the "new Metal Gear" I feel that is gonna be a reboot. Handing the IP to new devs of a series that has almost 30 years of work put into it might be too much responsibility to maintain. I am happy about it? Well... with how the potential successor of Kojima died sadly of cancer a few years ago (Project Itoh/Satoshi Ito) this outcome was expected to happen at some point. How it has happened however it hasn't pleasant to see at all. Lastly, I do wonder what the "power struggle" is actually about.

EDIT: Searched for info to remind myself if Boktai was directed or not by Kojima just to be sure. And he was a producer for all the 4 games that series got.
