3571  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Nintendo 3DS XL Launching July 28 JPN/EUR and August 19 NA on: June 22, 2012, 01:26:07 PM
I was thinking, if this system is bigger that means that Nintendo will release a Frankenstick for the new system right?

Well, they did everything I expect them to do: Increasing the size of the handheld and give it more battery life.

Enough reason to get one now with the few interesting RPGs that are coming out.
3573  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Collector's Edition of Journey (with Flower, Flow) for PS3 coming on: June 22, 2012, 01:27:06 AM
Seems that this wasn't suppose to be shown to the public yet.

Outside releasing the 3 games on a disc there's nothing that make this release a collector's item so far, but it was said that more details will be coming soon anyway.

Rule 1 - Miyamoto lies.

It was true when he said that Zelda didn't have a timeline, though.

I learned that if you don't want to get bullied by assholes you have to be an assholes to them. Is the only way they understand sadly... I don't know how some of those people believe that they are the center of the universe and have the right to make fun of other people.

*sigh* Still, thinking about this can make anyone angry, very angry. But hey there's always a way to fight back this BS.

A drinking review of Megaman’s wonder drug "E-can"

Yep, is real.

we may want to rename this thread Ys (IV) Foliage Ocean of Celceta.

3579  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Kojima on MGS5: "We have not yet finished with Solid Snake" on: June 21, 2012, 12:37:45 AM
@Ashton: After MGS4 and Peace Walker I have no idea how in the world can Kojima and his team expand the story of the series even more.

This has been getting pretty crazy since MGS2, is amazing seeing how they are able to make games with stories that actually make some sort of sense even if they are convoluted as hell though. I mean right now the entire story of Metal Gear goes more or less from 1918 to 2014.

And Metal Gear Rising is suppose to take place like more than 10 years after the events of MGS4 or something like that... I don't even know what to expect anymore.

Jack Frost goes Rambo for Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers

Also you like hentai right? Because the new demon has tentacles. So that's cool.

I hate to say that this Adol looks a bit generic in his design. But other than that, the game looks fine.
3582  Media / Miscellaneous Games / Re: Okami HD on: June 20, 2012, 06:56:52 PM
I've always wanted to know what Hideki Kamiya thinks about what Capcom did with Okami, but after seeing his various replies in twitter with fans that every time or so ask him about Devil May Cry and DmC it seems that he got over all of that mess and move on.

Though, the fact that Bayonetta is pretty much Devil May Cry Next-Gen and that the new Wii U game he's working on looks very influenced by Viewtiful Joe makes me wonder if he still is a bit annoyed by how his creations were treated at Capcom.

I remember one time in a old interview with him when DMC2 was being made if he could give any details about it. He didn't even knew at the time that Capcom was doing a sequel to his own game...

Hating on Capcom is a popular thing to do in the gaming community, but over the years the only thing I've learned about the them is that is has always been run by douchebags that happen to have very talented and passionate people working for them that sooner or later leave them for any given reason.

The only renowned developer from there that I've haven't read any drama about (not yet anyway) is Shu Takumi. You know, the director of Ace Attorney and Ghost Trick.

I never got familiar with the Fate stuff.... I was always under the impression it was more "Pokemon" and less "Fantasy" (not that there is a problem with that) and just sort of turned a blind eye to it..... been meaning to check it out though......

What the hell? :|

How did you even come up with comparing Pokémon with Fate/stay night? Please, explain.

Speaking of Fate stuff I just got my Unlimited Blade Works blu-ray.  Good film.  I like that route better than the one in the TV series.

Really? Might wanna go watch that soon then. I enjoyed the anime series a lot.

Never bothered with Fate/Zero though, maybe after the movie that changes.

Okami was developed by Clover Studio which many of those guys are know now as PlatinumGames. After Capcom released Okami for the PS2 they erased the Clover Studio logo from the box in (some of?) the re-releases and replace it with the classic Capcom logo, and for what I know the Wii version doesn't have the final credits movie which was removed from original release.

Also, the spin-off/sequel Okamiden was made by the same team (or part of it) that did the Wii version by people at Capcom. The entire joke of Okamiden was being a tribute to the original game more than a sequel. I think someone from the staff said that in a interview.

Parasite Eve 2: Its like a resident evil game (pre-RE4), but does enough to differentiate itself from them (you can purchase spells that do a lot to make combat a lot more manageable than your typical pre-RE4 RE game does, ammo isn't that big of a concern and neither is limited saves). A decent game that actually manages to avoid some of the more standard cliches that survival horrors are known for. Too bad it's the very last game in the Parasite Eve line and that there never was a proper or true follow up since (though pretenders have tried) and with Squaresoft being nothing more than a fading memory of a bygone era there's absolutely no chance for a Parasite Eve 3. (NO CHANCE AT ALL!!!)

Eh, at least we got a good soundtrack out of The 3rd Birthday.
