Eugh.  Metropolis is kinda...hard to love.  It started too sweet for the sort of grotesque ending of Tima[?].

Ah yeah, that scene is not particularly pretty. But that's part of the joke (and charm) of cyberpunk.

...um, Patlabor?

Is more Mecha than cyberpunk, but it's not bad. I did like it the little I saw of it.

Metropolis, a movie from 2001 (loosely) based on the manga made by Osamu Tezuka in the '40s. Also there's Battle Angel Alita that gets a lot of praise but I haven't read manga(s) or watch the OVAs.

I don't particulary have a problem with short stories, though, is very disappointing when said story ends in the worst possible moment. Like when you can tell there's more story to tell and more characters to develop here but for whatever reason here's an ending that left you wanting a sequel or continuation that will never come.

That shit is cruel bro. :(

Although in all fairness Nichijou is really, really Japanese.

No kidding.

Especially if you like School Rumble, since they have similar brands of humor

"Plot Summary: Yamada is a high school student, and a virgin, who aspires to have 100 casual sex partners. Despite this, she soon finds herself targeting and pursuing only one boy."

I rather watch Excel Saga.

I miss the days when we were still waiting for DNF.

That end up being better than the game itself.

I remembered that there is a "Kakashi Gaiden story" in the manga. That was really good.

how wonderful a cancelled game

Next up Square announces a game that doesn't exist.

The world doesn't need another Versus XIII.

Naruto is good until volume 5 in the manga and everything after that is honestly a waste of time. The series could have been better though, it had potential.

The only arrangements that I've heard of the first SMT have been from the second disc "Chaos" of the original soundtrack of that game. Also in that disc is in my opinion the best track of the entire franchise called "Abandoned Sky".

Practically been in love with that theme for a while now. ^^'

Edit: Wait no. I have heard other arrangements from the "Chaos & Order" album, it was made by some Japanese guys if remember. Also, I just found this.

Shin Megami Tensei II: Sound Relation (Arrange Version) (52:55)

"Composed by Tsukasa Masuko. Arranged by Mike Townend, Kevin Townend, John Bell, Brian Gascoigne, and Andy Vinter. Performed by the City of London Sinfonia."

The "Devil's World" theme that plays at 48:00min is amazing.

Holy shat.

Took a break today after playing for like 4 days MGS2 and been checking out again this videos about Silent Hill called "The real Silent Hill Experience" on YouTube. The guys that made those videos received a letter from Jeremy Blaustein (the Translator, Motion Capture and English VO Director for Silent Hill 2, 3 and 4), and in the last part of that letter says where Hiroyuki Owaku (who worked on the original Silent Hill through Silent Hill 3 with different roles in each title, one of those roles being the scenario writer of "Born from a Wish" scenario for Silent Hill 2 and all of the scenario for Silent Hill 3); "He is well but [he's] being ill-used by Konami in my personal opinion on girl-game oriented phone apps."

So that's great. The guy that wrote the scenario for one of my favorite video games is doing girly apps for phones... this kinda reminds of when I read that the first games that Shinji Mikami worked on was stuff from Disney on the 90's, like Aladdin for the SNES.

The more you know and stuff.

Outside of Fairy Tail there hasn't been much it seems.

Pretty amazing how strong One Piece keeps being so popular after all these years, it has been pretty much the closest thing to a successor to Dragon Ball so far.

And Blue Exorcist... it looks like a cool show but kinda generic to me, dunno about that one.

some show about a cook.

I've seen a review of the first few chapters of the manga and it looks like a pretty weird and unique series. Maybe I should look more into that.

Don't follow animu or manga news closely, but I'd like to know if there's is any new shonen series that has become the big thing lately? Just curious.
