3646  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Growlanser: Wayfarer of Time hits PSP / PSN in two weeks!!! on: July 18, 2012, 04:59:20 AM
The guy that design the characters is Satoshi Urushihara. Many (if not all) of the characters he has designed looks mostly the same, and a lot of his previous works and/or illustrations has ecchi and hentai stuff in them.

For what I understand most people in America knows the work of the guy nowadays (outside of Growlanser) because of an OVA that he directed around 2003 or '04 called "Front Innocent" which got lots of recognition from fans of animu and hentai.

Which also caused some confusion with people since the art direction is the same in both that Hentai OVA and Growlanser or every other work from Urushihara. So yeah, that's all I know about that.

Tekken Tag 2 - Summertime (Bikini DLC) Trailer

im hoping the music is good. the original TTT for ps2 has the finest music in the series imo.

Its not bad, there are plenty of tracks in the soundtrack are pretty catchy.

Didn't watch EVO this year but goddamn the Grand Finals of KOF XIII were so hype.

I didn't know you can dance in PSO2. All the stuff with the room looks pretty cool IMO.

Also, I found that Phantasy Star Online 2 servers will not be linked.

Yea... like I'll ever get to see that localized....

I know what you mean, in the same period of time that Sega was releasing their classics for PS2 they did a remake of Phantasy Star 1 and 2. I've read before that there were plans to bring both games and part of the text was already translated, but it never came out for some reason.

Makes me wonder how they have the balls to release Phantasy Star Universe but not two remakes of one of their most iconic franchises.

Also DDS1 is probably coming to the US PSN pretty shortly.

I hope it does along with DDS2 and Nocturne. I would get them as soon as they are released on PSN.

About Dragon Force...

Sega is only putting the remake of the original game that they did on PS2 for PSN.

This is the kind of thing that could completely derail the thread. If you care enough to post about that find an appropriate thread or start one.

I still don't get why so many people get so stressed talking about this topic, but either way I'm not going to start anything. I was just saying.

The truly sad part about the whole scenario with games like this.... that is, games where the creepiness of a mini-game or LE content causes a bit of a jaw drop amongst fans....... is that is totally takes precedence over anything relevant to the game itself....

I see this now to be true with Agarest 2.... The game is freakin' GREAT.... it might not be everyone's cup of tea, certainly not, but it deserves WAY more attention then it got.... beyond being just a step up from past IF/CH efforts, it stands in and of itself as one of the best and most original things to happen by way of J-SRPGs on consoles in years....  But alas, it will go down in most peoples memory as "the game that came with a blow-up doll" and not "that game with incedible sprites and a valkyrie profile-esque combat system, with a narrative that blows its prior installments out of the water...." despite the fact that the blow up doll and weird pervy-mini-games are a complete afterthought when it comes to the title itself..... the bathhouse mini-games suck by the way and are by no means anything to get worked up over.....

It sounds like Agarest 2 should have better been a completely new title instead of a sequel to get the interest of more people.

I actually talked to one guy the other day who was literally embarased to buy Agarest War 2 because of the whole LE blow up doll thing, despite the fact that he admitted to thinking the game looked good and he did in fact want it.....  Now that to me is shocking and ridiculous.... the fact ANYONE would get so hung up on this stuff as to deny themselves any chance to enjoy the game itself or even give it a chance is what is truly silly to me....

Is understandable why would someone feel ashamed of buying a game like Agarest at first. Though, the only genuine problem that I see here is that the dude buying the game is probably still a bit inmature to care for what other people will think of him for enjoying such a thing. But that's just my opinion of course.

NISA as a whole is rather tasteless. It feels like a collection of pedophiles selling stuff to other pedophiles now.

This whole deal with the game is pretty silly to me honestly. I don't understand why someone would want this game, it certainly does not seem like a good use of anyone's free time so far (unless the game is actually fun or something).

But what do I know, after all people is buying those breast mouse pads anyway.
3657  Media / General Games / Re: Seven years later, School Days is localized on: July 13, 2012, 02:29:13 AM
I remember when the anime was being aired in Japan some people were saying how realistic the whole story was. I'm not even kidding.

Also, isn't there like a bunch of games of this series? A couple of months ago I read that Shiny Days was the last game before the studio that develop these things closed. They only worked on this series it seems.

I wonder what the sales will be like.

Probably enough to afford a 'nice boat'.

ADMIN EDIT: No slurs in posted pictures please, even if it's otherwise harmless.

Edit: Okay.

Not related to what I'm playinng right now but I'm pretty bored of the whole "representation of women in video games" that I've seen so much lately. Pretty weird how so much people think that this is like, a new topic nobody has talked about it before...
