I need to play Heavy Rain No, you don't. I still have no interest in Red Dead Redemption If you are able to get the game for a decent price, buy it and give it a chance. And if you really liked the game get the Undead Nightmare. Forgot about Darksiders. Yet another game I still want to play. The guys of GiantBomb said that Darksiders is pretty much a mature Zelda game, so yeah. |

I liked Eva. Sure it was probably the most saturated sci-fi story you can find - but I thought the "mech" part was more thought out than all of the Gundam series' and at least come with an interesting/bizarre back story. I love the time-limit thing too....ooooh the drama! Well, yeah I loved the battles too. Is like the only really enjoyable part of the series in retrospective but everything else was an organized mess -- with the exception of the 2 last chapters of the anime and the Death and Rebirth film. Seriously, I can write all day random thing about Eva. But nowadays I can only say this: The End of Evangelion film was (at the time) an enjoyable experience and a slap in the face at the same time, the classic series of Evangelion is truly one of those things that I can't forget (and I don't have a good opinion of the series) and Rebuild of Evangelion is the 2nd best thing in the whole franchise (the 1st being the manga). Also, fuck you Hideaki Anno. |

Xenogears is the kind of story that makes you "feel" intelligent for playing it, at least for a few days, until you realized later that it's all a bunch of randomly cobbled together ideas from much more intelligent people, who are probably rolling in their graves for having their material used so haphazardly.
Before you play Xenogears, ask yourself one very important question: "Do I enjoy Eva?" So, Xenogears is exactly like Evangelion? Pretentious and pointless? |

At this point, we can therefore announce... That Recettear: An Item Shop's Tale has sold over one hundred thousand copies as of this date. This means... well, it means a whole lot of things, really. Andrew Dice's blog post about this event covers most of the more pertinent points. We at Carpe Fulgur would still like to thank everyone who made this possible - the distributors who supported us ceaselessly, the news outlets who continued to give us attention, and most of all, the fans who continued to buy our product (we know a fair number of you gifted the game around whatnot) and spread the word about this humble little shop simulator we localized. Without you, we wouldn't be here today, and we wouldn't be in a position to bring you more great titles in 2011. Happy New Year, everyone. The coming year looks bright, and it's all thanks to you. from Andrew Dice's blog post: Above all else, 100,000 copies of Recettear sold proves that the market for imported indie games (not to mention Japanese-style RPGs on the PC) isn't just there, it's famished for content, and that Carpe Fulgur knows how to serve that market (occasional bundle-deal-related silliness aside, of course). We've already gotten comments from developers in Japan to the effect of "we've heard of you and we'd like to work with you"; now we're an even bigger known quantity. Got to listen to Radiant Historia today. Wowie-zowie! It is excellent! It sounds like Yoko...which can be good, it can be bad - but on he bright side it is the best of her "style" worked in here. I just wonder what she'll do for the mature looking FFVersus, her "fairy tale" style is perfect. (haha I made a typo on "fairy" and put "farty tale"...yeah).
Speaking of female composers... I miss the Wild Arms composer, Naruke, with all my heart.... Yeah, Radiant Historia is surprisingly awesome. I would recommend you check out her music for "Last Ranker" too. That one really blew me away. I have high hopes for Vs XIII's soundtrack (the game itself, well ... we'll see) I enjoyed more the music from Last Ranker than Radiant Historia personally, but no one can deny that both albums are pretty impressive. I still wonder how she is able to make so much music though. Also, someone has heard The 3rd Birthday soundtrack already? There's some fine tracks by Shimomura in that album too, but the one that did the best tracks (in my opinion) was Mitsuto Suzuki. |

Terry Taylor is a hero of mine. If you can find the two disc CD "Imaginarium," it's the soundtrack for Neverhood, Skullmonkeys, and some other mini-projects. One of the best albums ever. Yes, I know about that album. :) It's kinda expensive though. But more than money, is that I haven't had the opportunity to buy the album. Maybe someday I'll get it.
