After watching this and that Ideon vid you posted (grusome; the corpse and the man-eating fish and the missle to the head kid were probably the two best).... old anime scare me now.

Have you read about Yoshiyuki Tomino (creator of Gundam, Ideon, etc) in TV Tropes?

"By directing combat and war pieces, I could experience catharsis and successfully avoid committing a murder in real life. In this sense, I'm really grateful for that because I was conscious that I had such homicidal traits, to be honest."
Yoshiyuki Tomino, about his "Kill 'Em All" reputation."

Dude has problems.

Coolest Iron Man outfit ever.  Seriously -- no, it's not cardboard made.

Oh my god...

Aww yeah. :3

However, it does give that 13-3 set-up.  But it's full of the emotional speeches that tend to run-on and are worth next to nothing unless you're really invested into the characters/plot.

So this DLC is for me then. ~.~

Glad to know that. I never imagine that I was gonna get so invested in the universe of XIII with the sequel.

I suppose that Soul Hackers is gonna get an optional arrange soundtrack like the Persona games for PSP right? The original soundtrack has hold up the test of time so I'm curious to see what they can do with it.

All the people who made those games have left.

Yeah, I know. Most of the people that worked on game companies that did the classics that everybody loved in the '90s not only on SquareSoft but Capcom and others Japanese game companies have either disappeared from the face of the earth, went to make iOS games, work as freelancer or they do something completly different.

Lost Planet 3 is being made by Spark Unlimited and they had only make 3 games that nobody really cares about. Not that I'm saying that as something bad but, that's how things are for what I've seen.

If the new opening has J-pop I'm gonna kick a baby in the balls.

^No kidding. Is beyond me how Square Enix doesn't (or can't) put together something with the same quality as FFVI, IX, Vargrant Story or Chrono Cross. At least FFXIII-2 was fun and for what I've read FFType-0 and TWEWY weren't bad either, so that's something.

All FFVII really needs is a fresh localization on par with more recent games. With the way people expect an FFVII remake though I think SE are afraid to do anything beyond providing the original as a PSN download.

They should like, retranslate the original and sell it for $20, right? :p

Pokémon Black & White 2 Anime Promo Video

Also this.
3747  Media / Miscellaneous Games / E.X. Troopers (Lost Planet offshoot) for N3DS and PS3 on: May 16, 2012, 10:56:25 PM
E.X. Troopers: a Lost Planet spinoff for... 3DS and PS3:

"We certainly didn't expect a 3DS spinoff of Lost Planet... and we definitely didn't expect a 3DS-slash-PS3 spinoff. EX Troopers, revealed in this week's Famitsu magazine, is also unexpectedly anime styled, featuring manga panel cutscenes and a theme by Jpop star May'n.

EX Troopers takes place on EDN-3rd, in some kind of academy. Bren Turner is new in school, and seems to jump right into the Akrid fighting in what producer Shintaro Kojima describes as a beginners' action shooter."

I hope Capcom doesn't screw this one up so badly, at this point one can only dream though.

It can't be...
3749  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: Game-opinions no one else agrees with. on: May 16, 2012, 08:44:39 PM
- Persona games... meh. Really? People like scaling one dungeon every night?  On that note...
- Dungeon crawlers do little for me.  Took Dark Cloud 2's bright fantasy colours to make me happy.

I don't get it, why complain about Persona if you don't enjoy Dungeon Crawlers in the first place... that's like saying that Metal Gear is a bad becuase I don't like to be stealthy.

The answer was there.  I did like Dark Cloud 2 a heck of a lot.  Unlike Yoder, I did like DDS2 quite a bit as well.  They can be good, but for the most part, few do them to my liking.  I like Persona to an extent, but I find the dungeons HORRIBLY drab and the (sort of) timed aspect of the game just something I'd rather not have to think about.  A potential release of P5 would definitely stay on my radar still though.

Never played Dark Cloud 2. I should have, but I never found a copy or got interested to try it.
3750  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Nomura: "New titles take priority over Final Fantasy VII Remake" on: May 16, 2012, 03:26:21 PM
"In the interview, Nomura admits that there is much desire for a Final Fantasy VII remake. However, the focus is now on making new titles, he says. They're working to make these new games match or even top Final Fantasy VII.

Nomura also says that he personally believes Yoshinori Kitase is the true successor to the FF series." -- Source: andriasang

If Versus is taking forever to come out I can't imagine how many delays that remake can have in it's development. I'm honestly surprised seeing people still interested in a remake after all this time.

One thing is for certain though, if the remake is made is not going to be as "magical" as your first experience was. Metal Gear Solid fans know that since MGS: The Twins Snakes for GameCube, or more recently with MGS3 for the 3DS.

In other words, nostalgia is a bitch.
