You know, I think that this happens because Square Enix doesn't want another case of Unlimited SaGa with their games. Every game that comes from SE looks good, that's a fact, and this being SE they don't want that little new games give the name of this big company a bad reputation.

They already have enough problems with their big franchises. And nowadays most of the new games or IPs are experiments to see the reaction and perception of their products for marketing purposes, and with that they bring the few good things of those titles to their new big games (sometimes that doesn't seem to work either though).

Also, Squaresoft in their "golden days" made a lot of experiments too, like Einhänder -- but the difference between those days and now is perhaps that they a made those titles with a market in mind, a group of people that they knew they were going to buy the game at that time.

...or maybe they just got lucky. Either way, we don't get what we want sometimes and we have to deal with it.

Not really related about the game itself, but there's a chance in the future to see other Falcom games for the PSP like Brandish: The Dark Revenant or Vantage Master Portable after or in between the releases of the Trials in the Sky games?

The Witcher 2 Digital Premium Edition price on GOG dropped for UK customers

I didn't see anyone mention the "Ask JJB" series of videos, there's some good questions here by the community. Also, cows.

Someone at XSeed already poster his pain translating the game. So, I guess from that aspect there's not much to worry about.

But we'll see.

Huh. I was pretty sure that they would release it on May. But August is still a good date, in the meantime I will have to buy some PSN titles and maybe Mirror's Edge now that is really cheap in my store (not to mention that the art direction of Mirror's Edge influenced DX:HR).

So, yeah... here's an image and link for the non-believer.

Also, have fun with this: http://sarifindustries.com/

Okay... someone remember this track from the Director's Cut of the original Resident Evil? This is the first time I heard this, and is just jaw-droppingly bad and hilarious.

I understand why the composer thought that the track was good enough for a survival horror game, but still, what the hell.

Capcom aiming to make 'the perfect Devil May Cry' / Publisher reassures fans of DMC 90-plus review score goal

Quote
"Combine all the best elements of Capcom and Ninja Theory you will have one of the greatest DMC titles ever created... and that people is what we're working towards."

"But we haven't handed over the family silver to some strangers we are working with Ninja Theory on this together. We believe that by going down this route we can breathe new life into the franchise and make a game that sits above DMC3 for this generation."

Yep, this is really happening. They are making a game for the media not for the fans/consumer with all of these "we want a 9.0 IGN, Gamespot, etc". They still haven't showed the game in action yet so... is time to give benefit of the doubt on this one?

...maybe they are just saying that they are doing their best with the "best than DMC3, and DmC is going to be a 9.0 game" statements.

Actually, blame Shenmue for that shit.

Normal people never played Shenmue, they only know about their Kratos and how awesome is pressing buttons. Also, Resident Evil 4 did a good use of the QTEs, unlike other games.

I'd better be right, because if they bitch out and don't make those decisions seem meaningful at all, my impotent internet fury will be unleashed upon this forum.

I've never seen a Korean angry... well, maybe in one those StarCraft tournaments, but who knows.

Nice interview.

I didn't know that Nolan was actually kind of worried about the movie. It makes sense though, Uncharted is beloved by many people and it really shows that Naughty Dog cares about the fans by making a game with all of their resources while trying to have a good time in the process, and that can be seen in the final product.

With movie or not though, the games are great and that's what matters in the end anyway.

So, the soundtrack that comes with the game isn't any good? Also, where can you purchase the Super Arrange Version of Ys Origin?

Is not that the soundtrack is bad, the thing is the music is pretty normal for a JRPG and some tracks are honestly pretty boring for what I remember. There's some enjoyable track? Yes, but the SAV album is like ten times better than the Original Soundtrack.

Now, about where you can buy the SAV of Ys Origin, I only found the album on sale in Amazon.co.jp. If anybody knows other places, just post the link. The SAV of Ys Origin is really something that every Falcom fan must check.

Also, here's the playlist of the new Super Arrange Version of Zero no Kiseki. Good stuff.
