You know what they say about FFXIII. It gets good after the 30 or 40 hours, problem is though that a lot of people finished the game and never saw the good part that some people were talking about.

*shrug*

^I always wonderer why a lot of teachers have this necessity of talking about random stuff with the class. Is like we are some kind of therapy for them to talk about their problems.

There was this one time when I was in High School that I had this really annoying history teacher that out of fucking nowhere starts to talk about death and how "fascinating" is too look people dying for natural causes. You know, when they take their last breath and all that... yeah, he for some reason talked about that for like 10 to 30 minutes I believe and the room was almost full of people of 16 to 18 year olds hearing a guy in his late 20s or so talking about death instead of doing his damn job.

When he finished that no one asked anything, everyone was silent. It was pretty weird because it was like no one was paying attention but everyone knew what he was talking about, and it was horrible.

DDS2: the final dungeon and secret bosses got way too tough and I lost patience for the incessant random battles and grinding.  But damn I love the game.

Ah yes, the final dungeon is pretty hard. I spend hours trying to kill the secret bosses, I think I manage to kill at least two of them and if remember you can also fight against Jack Frost there too.

I never finished though... I spend so much time trying to kill those secret bosses that I got fatigated with the game. Later I read that the ending is pretty sad or something, I suppose everyone dies? I don't know.

Almost the same thing happened with Final Fanatsy X now that I remember. I lost interest and years later reading articles about the franchise I read about the ending, then the Spoony did his "review" and I saw the ending there too.

Oh yeah, I never finished Final Fantasy IX as well for a lot of reasons but mainly was for the fault of piracy (long story). Years later I saw the ending on YouTube because I thought I wasn't gonna be able to buy the game again and this was before PSN was a thing with decent video games on it. I still don't know what the hell happens after disc 2... haven't bought it yet from PSN thanks to the amount of new releases but someday I'll have to buy it.

After all, that was my first RPG anyway, pretty important game for me too.

Wind Waker: The dungeon with one of the co-stars was a pain in the ass, I hit a wall master room, and triforce treasure hunting annoyed me.  I was younger, so I wanna give this a second go.

I have the best memories of playing the shit out of The Wind Waker sick on my bed with a map to find the pieces of the Tri-Force that is in a Spanish Nintendo site full of guides. Heh, good times.

Amazing.

Yeah, I'm playing the first Demon's Souls which I got for Christmas, and it's probably the most fucking overrated game I've ever played.

Is not overrated. Is just, not for everyone. The only way to get to the point in where the game "clicks with you" is just by playing it for some days and understanding how everything works (like in a fighting game to give an example).

Though, learning everything takes more than one playthrough... so yeah, your choice there.

Just be sure to have a lot of free time if you are going to play Demon's Souls for real because once you get into it you will not care about what time is. The game is a real nightmare for people with Gaming OCD too.

Got this one a day before Christmas and I just played it all night now without going online, and this is the best fighting game I've played in years. Fuck you BlazBlue.

Timeline translated, and yes it makes sense.

The first song should be called "Crazy Ass Choboco".

The second song reminds of one the best tracks of DMC3, but still a track like that in a Final Fantasy is weird.

The third song is not bad until that random guy starts to sing and it makes sounds the entire thing like a modern Sonic song... ugh.

X-2 wasn't horrible (I enjoyed it quite a bit). The only sin of the game was not being your traditional Final Fantasy game and for that a lot of shit was thrown with people bitching about it without even playing the game.

I thought it was horrible. I played it and finished it, and immediately regretted all the time I'd wasted on it. The story, characters and cutscenes were just embarassing, the levels were mostly copy-pastes from FFX but full of annoying minigames, and the music was almost unlistenable. The only positive was the battle system, but that was wasted by having almost no challenge whatsoever.

Is pretty easy to say this about the game nowadays. After all, everyone has the same opinion about it but I for one think that X-2 was far far more fun that what hey did in FFVIII.

Dunno why, but I always got the impression these two games were pretty much the two games in the series that kinda got started the whole thing of trying to experiment with the formula of franchise in all the ways possible, and if you ask me, it didn't worked all that much in VIII but in X-2 they actually manage to make the game fun. And I know that the definition of "fun" is not the same for everyone, but what do you want me to say? I enjoyed the silliness and unnecessary fanservice of the game after how dramatic FFX was. Because seriously, for the all stupid shit that happens in that game the story is not really the happiest thing I've seen either.

Though I agree that was a shame that that story got pushed away for something with much less substance.

And about the music... well, that's a war I simply cannot win. I do like a few tracks of the soundtrack and I absolutely love the arrange album, is easily of one the top 3 in the entire franchise in my mind.

XIII-2 looked pretty boring in the live streams but I saw a bit more of it and now I'm pretty interested in giving it a chance. And I was disappointed with XIII but I did enjoyed some parts of it, and hell, I clearly remember saying out loud when finished the game "It wasn't as bad as people said it was".

So yeah. I might seem that I hate FF sometimes but I just got the opinions of others confused with mine in reality.

Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter - I really really liked this game but there is one point in where I just can't advance because the battles gets to difficult and tricky to insanely hard and unfair. It doesn't help either that the game has a pretty huge learning curve, and it also has some kind of time limit... awesome game that I'm pretty sure I'll never be able to finish by myself.

Final Fantasy Tactics - My first and pretty much (for what I remember) last SRPG. I really liked the style of that game since it was similar to the one of FFIX but oh god this game is the real deal, is pretty easy to lose and this being my first SRPG when I was getting into RPGs it made me reject the genre as a whole by how hard the game was.

Mother 3 - Stop playing it because playing an RPG with a keyboard made my hands hurt for a couple of days, the pain went away just like my desire to keep playing the game.

I also tried a few old RPGs on emulator just for curiosity to see if I like anything of the "golden era" of gaming that so many people likes so much. And I cannot play for the life of me more than 30 minutes or so of FFVI, after that I enjoyed the little I played of FFV and Shining Force II but I always end up playing Puyo Puyo 2. :p

Maybe I should check out Phantasy Star II or IV one of these days but I'm pretty sure I'll just end up playing Puyo Puyo 2. Is so addicting.

... and what else? Oh yeah, recently I got frustrated with Vagrant Story but I'm 100% sure that I'll be picking up the game soon and finish it someday. I liked the story too much to left the thing just there for a boss battle that I couldn't win. Other than that I never could finish the majority of Mega Man X games but those aren't RPGs, but that's that.

I've always liked Melodies of Life but is more because of a nostalgic thing more than anything else, but Eyes on Me? that song has always drives me nuts.

...it makes me mad just searching for it on YouTube.
