The secret path was closed. Maybe I have to be part of the covenant with rank 2 at the moment I'm planning to use that door to get to Lost Izalith, but since the door was closed I went for the only way available and the only thing I can say about this place is that this might be the stupidest area I've ever seen in a video game.

I was scared as fuck when I saw one of those big things attacking me though. The best part of all of this is that I got invaded by a random Black Phantom wearing the ring that makes you invisible, you can imagine how that ended.

Pro tip: Before going to the Demon Ruins and Lost Izalith get yourself the Crystal Ring Shield that you can make with any shield at +10 with the soul of the Moonlight Butterfly from the forest with the blacksmith of Anor Londo. Oh, and a shitload of arrows helps too.

About the secret path to Lost Izalith you get with the covenant when you reach rank 2 (after giving 30 humanity). I did that, but I just receive a pyromancy scroll and nothing else. Did I miss something?

Now that the centipede thing is dead I guess that I'll have to do the Lost Izalith the hard way... like everything in this game anyway. Oh and I almost got all the embers, two of these fuckers are really hidden and one is guarded by 6 Giant Skeletons in the Tombs.

Dunno how I'm gonna get that. This video gives an idea of how to get it but his character is way better than mine.

Also, does the bonfires reset when you start a NG+ or they stay kindle?

I want to finish this game so bad... but I can't, there still so much shit to do. ;~;

This was made assholes, clever assholes though.

Oh and the cameo that Patches has it's pretty confusing if From Software was trying to put Demon's and Dark Souls in the same universe. But eh, video games. These things never makes sense.

Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim can be completed in two hours

I like the production values of Battlefield 3 but honestly everything else I find it boring... I rather waste my money on Batman. That's just me though.

Did you find Patches and answer "Yes" to get the Skull Lantern?

DON'T DO THIS. Not unless you
Code:
really don't mind having to KILL HIM after you get out of the pit.

Hell, you probably don't even need to talk to him, but it's a much better idea to say no the first time, and preferred to say no the second time (though it's just a consumable item that time, nothing of more consequence).

Thanks Eusis. Today I finished the Tomb of the Giants, talked with Patches and saw that what I posted was wrong.

About two days ago I killed the dragon again with one arrow. For that I think you have to walk to the Darkroot Garden and come back to the Black Knight Tower (the one that has the 4 Giant Rats below) to see the dragon and shot him with an arrow, and yes, you can kill him without weird tricks but it takes way too much time.

And with the bosses you are busy right now.

Code:
Use Combustion or Great Combustion in the butterfly, you can buy that from Quelana of Izalith in Blighttown (swamp area) and for the wolfe just be sure to be close to him with a good shield and attack him as you please.

Classic Game Room has a review of the Genesis Collection. I wonder why Capcom hasn't done something like this, I mean in the same format as Sega did with their collection.

Is Shining Tears any good?

Are you asking me? Because I've haven't played that.

But according to Wikipedia Camelot right now is working on Mario Tennis 3DS... yeah well, uhm, at least they did a new Golden Sun. Was that any good though?

About standard for the Golden Sun series from my experience. Incidentally, those games have made some people VASTLY PREFER stuff like the aforementioned Mario sports game being made, since they're pretty good at those and even tend to make the handheld ones RPG-ish.

I didn't know that, and from the way you say it I assume that they are good games. Now you made me curious and I want to try these games.

Patches is close to the bonfire in the Tombs so make sure to find him to get yourself that item. And is your character in human form? I ask because the Tombs gets invaded sometimes with random dudes.

So annoying.

I think they should go overboard and add characters from other Persona games, and if it turns out to be more successful than expected, some from the SMT universe.

Like this?

Another true shining game is a pipe dream that i think a lot of people have.  If you've ever heard of Moogie, who is a very active participant in the ShiningForceCentral ring, he is actually trying to get a petition together to send out to Camelot and Sega, in hopes that the two companies can bridge their gaps and once again make games that the fans will love.

It's a far-fetched idea, but I for one have not given up complete hope.

That's like going to the north pole to find Santa Claus.

I'm starting to feel fatigated with replaying all over again since the game drop me in a NG+ a couple of days ago (and I was so close to finish it too), but I've been having a lot of fun and I have seen new things too.

I was in Blighttown in like 12 hours into the game in my first playthrough that took me way more, I also lose a lot time with the Forest Hunter covenant the first time but now I can't join because I ignored a question and Alvina said "go fuck yourself" very politely and to undo that I have to "pay for my sins" with Carim, you know, the dude that is always in the Gargoyle Belltower with his come at me bro pose.

*sigh* This game takes itself so seriously that sometimes it makes my head hurts in annoyance. Not to mention there's so many ways in getting penalized for everything you do or don't do.

All in all, the only way to win this game is not playing it... too bad I always come for more.
3990  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Dark Souls on: October 23, 2011, 01:49:50 PM
Am I expected to leave blight town manually?

Yes. There's technically two entrances to Blighttown, one is from where everyone enters at first in the Depths and the other entrance (that you actually have to use to get out of there) is the cave that you can see in the Valley of Drakes if you had the master key at the beginning of the game.

Oh and I hope you have some Blooming Purple Moss Clump to cure the strong poison when you are going to leave that place just in case.

Also, the framerate in that the swamp area of Blighttown is ridiculous. Sometimes it looks like a slideshow.
