4081  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: BioWare writer - I have a vagooo, your argument is invalid on: February 20, 2012, 02:52:14 PM
Never really touched a Bioware game outside of the demo of ME2. So what's the deal with this Anders thing?

She has written some terrible stuff, but this:

Quote
"I just figure they're jealous that I get to have both a vagina AND a games industry job, and they can't get either."

...is utterly brilliant.  She has peaked her writing career.  There's no topping that line for her.  She hit them all where it counts with one simple line, and 4chan's reaction says it all.  She won.

That's pretty damn smart.

That was honestly the only right way to answer in a situation like this.

Even with a guide it can take a while since is pretty tedious, and with how frustrating some puzzles can get it almost feels that this is Square Enix saying "Say... you didn't like FFXIII? Well, take this puzzles and chanllenges with bizarre questions that Final Fantasy fans can't fully understand and try have fun with it. Also go fuck yourself."

Either way, we have the marvel of technology in our hands and the Final Fantasy community is not small so they did this: http://www.xbox360achievements.org/forum/showthread.php?t=357148

I'm having a hard time finding Captain Cryptic. Sometimes NPCs will not give a clue for a long time in where can you find his ass and sometimes the clues are vague... and what else? Oh yes, I'm doing the paradox endings now along with getting others fragments I didn't get before. So far the "Mischievous Mog's Marvelous Plan with Flan" is pretty much the best ending, I liked how obvious it was that the voice actors where having fun recording that scene.

I can't get enough of that violin in "Plains of Eternity -Aggressive Mix-".

I think there are actually weirder (and creepier) games out there.

Hatoful Boyfriend might be the weirdest game I know so far. Though, there's always something weirder or creepier to see.

Oh hey, we are complaining about JRPGs and Japanese stuff again? Cool. Been reading the same stuff for like 3 or 4 years now, have fun. :T *goes back to play FFXIII-2*

Thanks but I'm still having fun with Vanquish.
4091  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Final Fantasy VII 15th Anniversary, Thread of "It has been that long?" on: February 15, 2012, 03:47:46 AM
The only annoying thing for me regarding FFVII is the obsessive (and rather creppy) fans that it has. Oh and also the fact that in FFX-2 Square Enix did a direct connection to both games making them one universe.

Meaning that the world in FFX is hundreds of years in the past before FFVII... that's pretty random. Not as random as Wakka having a kid with Lulu, but still random.

"Theathrythm Final Fantasy will be the first of many to feature the logo to celebrate the anniversary of the franchise.

The very first Final Fantasy was released for the Famicom in Japan on December 18, 1987."

Bought Grandia on PSN and having a hard time getting into it but I'm having fun with it getting to know the characters and all that.

Wonder why GameArts never did a remake of this one for PSP like they did with Lunar. That said, I really should try Lunar one of these days... we'll see.

I don't see how anyone could possibly say that FFVII took a step back in story compare to FFVI. It delved into topics VI barely even scratched the surface of. Mega-corporations exerting more power than they should in a government, terrorism, and environmental messages that were pretty fucking heavy coming from a video game in the 90s? Seriously.

Yeah I agree, that was pretty much the thing I remember blewing my mind when I played it for the first time in 2008 or so. I was asking myself while playing the game randomly "This was really made in '97?" I honestly couldn't believe how compelling the narrative was at times.
