I'd rather Konami let the series die than make shitty knockoff RPGs and slap the Suikoden name on them for a few extra dollars.

Hey that's is what Konami has been good for in the last few years. Kinda late to complain about it now.

After this game is Pandora's Tower, right?

Yes, that's suppose to be the last one.

I don't even know why that game got out of Japan... it doesn't look like a particularly exciting for the little I watched, but I'm certain that is better that the majority of games that normally gets released on the Wii with some exceptions.

Silent Hill did scary better. Resident Evil was more about the adrenaline and anxiety of having to fight off hordes rather than the slower, deep seated horror in games like Silent Hill.

And yet many fans that have been enjoying the series since it started in the late '90s say that the games were never about the action.

Like I said, I'm not a big fan of RE and I honestly don't know much about it even if I have tried really hard to understand them in the past, but in my opinion the only game that got everything right was REmake on GameCube. Every other RE before and after that was either a charming but very flawed game or a great action game and that doesn't mean either style of games can't have their genuinely scary moments at times. Though like Yoda said "scary" is something totally subjective.

Hey, watch your mouth

I'm sure you would call the guy I mentioned in that post the same way I did if you knew him since there really no other way to call him. Either way, I knew I was get into some sort of dumb trouble for the post but no biggie, it actually made me giggle a bit when I saw that I was banned.

I don't ever avoid or rule out any genre myself. What the hell is the fun in that?

No wait, what I meant to say is that I have a taste and familiarity with JRPGs rather like them better than WRPGs.

The demo of ME2 is not all that great, in fact, it made me lose the little interest I had on it when it was going to come out on PS3.

I bet that it is a great game since people can't shut up about it. But I don't know, the demo left me feeling intrigued but not interested enough to go out and buy it. And the review that was posted here by Abraham Ashton Liu got me even more intrigued but not even with that I end up buying it.

Maybe some day but who knows I'm more of a JRPG fan.

In other news I got the Platinum trophy in inFamous 2. I forgot how fun this game was.

Ugh, that stupid seller that sold me my Chrono Cross copy gave me a defective first disc. I'll have to contact him and complain about it to find a solution.

It could be worse, I got the game for free when I had PSone in the early 2000s or so when I played pirate copies of games at that time (I know, horrible right?) and a friend copy the CDs on his PC and give me the game, then after that we went to a mall and a [DELETED] that worked there which my friend knew literally fool me and steal my pirate copy of Chrono Cross.

Needless to say, I got mad and this [DELETED] never give me the game back. But I'm really glad I've never played Chrono Cross because it would have left me more confused than Final Fantasy VIII, and oh boy the little I played of that confused me for years.

...and it still confuse me a bit in fact.

Did an Evil Karma playthrough in inFamous 2, got some trophies and watched the evil ending. Both endings let me wanting something more but it was alright, the story of this game can't end well for anyone anyway.

Oh shit son this forum is full badass people.

I thought that my heart was going to jump out of my throat when Nemesis appeared. Every single time that fucker founded a way to scare the shit out of me, and for that, I love RE3.

Also Jill was hot in that game. :3

Still watching the LP of FFVIII. I like the art direction they went with (without a doubt one of the best works of Nomura), and... that's really the only good thing I can say about the game.

I find it hard to like the game but I can see why someone else might enjoy it. Is a weird and experimental game that is not really awful or for everyone.

That said, "Eyes on Me" still drives me nuts for all the wrong reasons.

Found two VHS tapes with anime movies that I recorded, one has the first Sakura Card Captor movie and the other has the Cowboy Bebop movie. I found them just seeing the gaming magazines I used to read before getting into video games for reals... is pretty weird seeing how games and things in general have changed since then. Though, I really regret gettin so much into horror games when I was still trying to get into video games.

Is ironic how I don't care about horror games or anything that has to do with that now. Oh and those VHS tapes were recorded in that time when people used VHS tapes and buying a movie in DVD was a lot of money.

I started to watch a LP of FFVIII. Since I didn't know any English when I first played it and I also was very little at the time when I got the game because that opening cinematic looked so cool and I really enjoyed IX (even if I never manage to finish it, a thing that I have to change soon along with FFX) I just went into the game just expecting something like IX again. How wrong I was.

That said, I played disc 1 of FFVIII a lot and that was because when disc 2 started everything got weird and more complex not to mention that the way disc 1 ends is very tragic. But, now watching this LP I realize I don't anything about the game other than it kinda reminds me of Persona 3 and that is really boring, for me at least.

And I guess It doesn't help too much either that the character I like most from FFVIII is Selphie, heh.

I bought SMT I.F on the Japanese PSN. I've always wanted to finish this game but my disc is in terrible condition. From what i've played, it seemed to be the pre persona persona.

It is said that SMT: if... was the reason why Persona was made. I also remember seeing a bunch of times a video of a DVD that I think it came as a pre-order bonus (only in Japan, as always) that at one point showed some sort of timeline of the series, and SMT: if... connected the Shin Megami Tensei universe with Persona.

I have no idea if Atlus nowadays keeps that timeline as something official given the fact how much the series has changed since Persona 3, but it was very interesting to see that they did a timeline at one point. This DVD I guess it was released in 2003 and I doubt I can find the video again.

...I don't even know how I found the website in the first place.

Edit: Well that was random. Did a quick search for this special DVD and last year someone uploaded all the videos to YouTube.

Making of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne (5 parts)
Shin Megami Tensei History Featurette (3 parts)

Both series of videos have never been translated.
