Searching a bit in wikipedia I found the name of the FMA game I played, is called Fullmetal Alchemist and the Broken Angel (sounds kinda like the name of a Harry Potter movie).

Is an Action-RPG. Nothing really that will change your life but as a fan of the series I enjoyed the little I played of it, here's a video.

as much as i liked it i can't imagine "death note" as a game.

There is one for the DS (only in Japan as always). I don't how it is though.

were any of the full metal alchemist games any good? i can't imagine it working

I am a big fan of FMA but the only I could play for a while was the very first one on the PS2. I remember it being really fun, but only for fans. I always was curious about the one for the Wii since at the time it looked interesting.

Dunno how it end up being...

I have seen this game since it was announced, saw the news in Siliconera not too long ago. I didn't expect seeing it on sale already.

Anyways. Poor Tak Fuji, the man seems stuck doing games that not much people care about or know that exist. Is nothing new seeing Konami acting like assholes though. Hell! I know about them because of that. :p

Very late reply but better late than never right? (:

Im really surprise that a lot of people enjoyed the battle system.. please tell me what was so fun about it? I really want to know because honestly autobattle must be the most stupid thing to ever happen in a RPG.

Oh and now dont tell me that I can play without it, because, well, im aware of that fact. The thing is, the way the battle system is made, if you don't use it, its a mess and annoying to play because everything is too fast.

The battle system in XIII gets rid of making the grinding boring, after hours into the game no one wants to fight the same enemy that you have fought more than 200 times for too long.

They could do the thing of making the monsters leveling up with you but that can give more troubles in the long run. Also this particular version of the ATB in XIII is at it's best in big battles where your enemies have high HP and use buff and debuffs all over the place which make you move and think faster. Lot's of fun with battles like those.

The only big problem with it is that the tutorial to introduce this battle system took waaay too long and when you reached the point to use it for reals many people didn't care for it because the story or characters got tiresome and boring to follow.

After all, everyone that has played XIII has come out hating with passion at least one character.

@Dice: The "weird" thing with Dragon Quarter is that in Japan the game has the roman numeral V, while in the American and European release doesn't. Granted, is nothing new seeing Capcom or any other company changing the name of their game(s) but the way they did it with Dragon Quarter was maybe the way of Capcom saying that this was *not* your typical Breath of Fire to the old fans.

But a reboot? Kinda hard to tell... though, I do understand why you see it as a reboot.

Forgot to mention this before but in December Square Enix released a new novel for the big mess that is the Compilation of FFVII called "Final Fantasy VII Lateral Biography Turks -The Kids Are Alright-".

It takes place shortly before Advent Children and... stuff happens. Also according to FF Wiki the novel has references to the English rock band The Who. Dunno what's that about but eh, is FFVII and people like FFVII so like Squall says: " ...Whatever"

blood of bahamut

Wait. That one never came out in America or Europe and the ones that imported the game said it was very underwhelming, not to mention that it has one of the weakest soundtracks from Naoshi Mizuta.

There's like literally two memorable tracks in the entire album. And the album has 34 tracks...

Tech demos only make me wish have been born in the future to see how video games would be by then. Though, is not really necessary since technology changes pretty fast...

Can't wait see that our standards shooters and whatnot looking better than Battlefield 3 in the next gen of consoles.

Was reading a bit about Another Century's Episode R for the PS3 and one the anime series they put into the game was Genesis of Aquarion, a short series of OVAs of 2 episodes and a movie. I go to see the opening theme in YouTube and in the comment section I find this gem:

"In the ending the world starts to fall apart (literally) Apollo, Sirius, Toma and Aquarion have a huge gay orgy and save the world by using their cum as glue to stick it all back together.

Best ending ever."

I have mixed feelings in watching this show now... either way here's the opening thing for anyone that cares to see it.

With a lot of complaining, gnashing of teeth, and people buying the product anyway ;)

Not happy about the DLC either, but I can see why they did it.

Gamers don't know how to boycott. Though, I can see the DLC in SFxT been handled worse but is still lame as hell.

Tekken characters have a buttload of command normals just like they do in Tekken which will probably be a bit disjarring to people who try them but have never touched a Tekken game.

I've only played Tekken 3, Tag Tournament and a bit of Tekken 4. Does that count as enough experience? :p
4170  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Play.com outs 4 upcoming US Vita titles on: March 07, 2012, 08:10:36 PM
Completely bogus. Well, Monster Hunter's really at the site, but not the rest.

"The original news was that Monster Hunter Portable 3 was listed on Play.com. The subsequent carnival of stupid began when a photoshopped image from 4chan emerged, purporting to show listings for GTA: Vice City Nights, Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, and Tales of Innocence R."

"While a quick search of Play.com would quickly reveal that none of these other listings actually existed, somehow Eurogamer seized upon the image. Without any fact checking whatsoever, it quickly became front page news."

"Joystiq saw it posted on Eurogamer and, again without any fact checking whatsoever, posted it as confirmed news as well."

"In no time at all, the stupidity had gone mainstream..."

This is better than an official announcement of FFType-0 for Vita.
