You know, outside if Type-0 ends up being good or not there's one thing that has being annoying me a little bit.

And that's the whole Fabula Nova nonsense. What was the point in doing a series of games with a common mythos in where every game is connected by the vague connection with the theme of crystals, terminologies and what not. Isn't that what your normal Final Fantasy already is?

Since Final Fantasy VII (and partially VI) the franchise doesn't know what it wants to be and devs doesn't remember what was all about either for some weird reason. But, I guess that the answer to all of this is simple; Final Fantasy is a big convoluted franchise that's too popular for its own good. After all, how this series of games began back in the late 80's and how popular it become was something that no one really expected, not even the people that created the first games.

This one is great! The original track also reminds me of Dragon Quest.

Falling from Twin Peaks / Greenvale from Deadly Premonition.

In regards to the question of the game being fun, we will see after the new patch.

Are you serious? ಠ_ಠ

People really loves to show pictures of kids with malnutrition when they try to make a point for some reason.

For some reason I never posted this but here are some pictures of Suda and Yamaoka dressing as Garcia in an event to promote the game, I believe this event was before the game was launched in America.

I also put the link of the official Japanese site at the op if anyone is curious to check that.

Man, Shihoko Hirata has a really amazing voice, she didn't even scratch the surface with the stuff she did for Persona 4, check out this video of her performing in a club, she has been performing there with these guys for a few years now:

That was pretty awesome.

I've heard the 3DS version of Bust a Move is terrible.

Welp, I saw this review of Bust-a-Move Universe and while it doesn't look bad is like the guy in the video said; Is a fun game that is not worth the full price purchase.

So if I see a copy I'll get it at the cheapest price possible.

They do have Tetris on the store, even though the Nintendo developed one's likely the best ones.

I'll have in mind that when I buy a Tetris game, thanks.

Bust-a-Move Universe?  Puzzle Quest is on the eShop too.

I completely forgot about Bust-a-Move, thanks for reminding me.

8-4 Play 7/15/2011: ¡QUE MAGNIFICO!

Played Shadows of the Damned? You should! Why?

1) Read the reviews, it’s a great game!
2) We here at 8-4 worked on it!
3) Oh yeah, so did some other guys, Suda 51 and Shinji Mikami.
4) You will enjoy this podcast a helluvalot more, since we discuss the soundtrack with legendary game musician Akira Yamaoka and talk shop about creating the script.

When you tire of our self-congratulatory nonsense, there’s plenty more chit-chat about Xenoblade, PS4 motion controls, Dragon's Crown, Final Fantasies XIII-2 and Theatrhythm, and more. Do me, do m—er, do it!

I demand you to listen this podcast.

There's some kind of decent puzzle game(s) for the 3DS nowadays? Or I have to wait a little more to see some of those.

Netflix 3DS free trial month... I just watched an anime called "Girls Bravo" and totally saw boobs and nipples.

That's like, almost every anime ever made dude.

I shouldn't recommend Eternal Darkness if you like to sleep at night at ease, not to mention that the ending can produce a headache.
4288  The Rest / General Discussions / Re: The NEW Game Journal on: July 16, 2011, 02:14:20 AM
So I finished watching the "Let's play" of Deadly Premonition by supergreatfriend (I don't have a 360 and I've read good things about the story, that's reason enough to watch a LP if you ask me).

And well, this game is kind of ironic. Because the game itself is in all honesty pretty terrible but every other aspect outside of the game itself is why you care about Deadly Premonition in the first place; The characters, story and (part of the) music is intriguing and very enjoyable for the most part but it also can get very tedious and obnoxious sometimes.

I really started to dislike the game when it begins to throw boss battles at you after hours of not fighting one before.

Other thing I didn't like very much was that the game makes you feel you are going in circles with the plot sometimes (or how randomly stupid it gets from time to time for almost no reason), but all of this is there for a reason though.

Overall, Deadly Premonition is an horrible game that is great to watch and enjoy.

I've finished to watch "Now and Then, Here and There". And, I can't say that I really liked the whole thing... I mean for an anime series is seriously good, but I didn't expect that this was going to be so depressing. The fact that many of the "great" stories in anime and manga are the ones that are the most twisted or depressing (which also happens in other media) is something that rubs me the wrong way.

Not to mention that I had depression not too long ago and watching something like this was not the best thing I could have done to myself to be honest. Either way, if anyone around here still hasn't watched this series I'll say this; Watch it at your own discretion. Is not the prettiest story you'll find out there, but if you want to see something that can push the right buttons in your senses, give a try.

And well. Now... now I'll promise to myself never watch (and buy) something for curiosity ever again. My mind is already full of BS to handle more in the future.

Also, I need to drink some juice a maybe take a nap.
