I was reading a discussion on the Dark Souls wiki about the grinding required to get items like that in Demon Souls. Some guy was saying that From Software wimped out on us by making certain titanite easier to get by having them in shops. He said the game was "easier" now. This prompted lots of other people to jump on his case about useless grinding for hours just for one item and I have to agree. Adding grinding like that into the game doesn't make it any harder. It just makes it more time consuming to get what you want. I'm happy they put twinkling titanite at blacksmiths, because I don't want to grind for it. It's a waste of game time, I think.
I agree. Both games have pretty stupid parts in where you have to do the exact same thing more than 20 times to get 1 item, yesterday I spent almost all day trying to get the stone from the black phantom skeleton with the Soulsucker and I didn't get it, worse of all if that there's people that took days for the Pure Bladestone to finally appear, that's ridiculous.
I would like to find another player and ask him if he/she has the stone and I can give him some rare weapons in exchange but the online in this game is random so that also go from pure luck. And I don't know if is me for never getting summoned or something but it seems that there's not much people left playing Demon's Souls online, but I might be wrong.
