Today I curse the dude on NeoGAF that did an appreciation thread of the music of Ace Combat, I have this track stuck on my mind.

This looks really interesting. Why does everyone say the PSP is dead? If you're a fan of RPGs there are great new games coming out a lot!

Well, you said it. If your are not interested in the genre then what are you going to play on the system outside of Patapon, God of War and Metal Gear games? The market for the PSP is just for RPG fans (and it has always been), no other group of people care more about the system.

It seems that Namdai has changed the box art again, this is much better than the one they showed last time.

Volume 2 has been released, and guess what? It's free!

Glad that PC and PS3 users can experience a gem.  Hopefully it will be cheaper than the XBLA version but I doubt it.

Braid is $14.99 on PSN, there was a special offer for PlayStation Plus members about 2 weeks ago if I remember correctly of Braid for $3.49.

Tales of the Abyss' PS2 and 3DS loading times compared

Yay for cartridge-based media!

More news, this time from NeoGAF.

Posted by Hikash Winzalf: "Some scans are available on the net. Hideo Minaba's artwork is quite reminiscent of A.S.H. As expected."

Posted by duckroll: Matsuno has tweeted a message directly to English speaking fans, with help from Alexander O Smith:

To my English-speaking followers, some personal news: as you may have heard, I have joined game developer Level-5 Inc. (@LEVEL5_times) I received an offer to work on a project, and when @AkihiroHino and I hit it off, it seemed like a natural fit for me to join.

Unfortunately, I can't talk details about any current projects. Apologies in advance if I can't answer your questions... what I can say is that I don't intend to work on anything too epic in scale for now. "Short stories," not "novels," with short dev. cycles. I hope to make games that aren't targeted specifically for kids (or adults) but games that can be enjoyed by all ages.

There will be an official announcement when we're ready, so please wait for that, and heartfelt thanks for all your support!

(Thanks to @aokajiya for help with the English)

And, that's all for now. The rest of thread on gaf is a bunch hardcore Matsuno fans complaining and other bunch of people happy about that Matsuno is working in something new, and for Level 5 no less.

from GiantBomb:

Update: Rather than write a whole other story, figured I'd just update this one. Sony's PlayStation Facebook page has confirmed that a PSN port of Limbo will be coming this July, and Playdead co-founder Dino Patti confirmed elsewhere that the team is also working on a PC version to be released on Steam. Both ports are being worked on by the Playdead team internally.

Here's to more people being able to experience horrifying child death (and really excellent gameplay)!

All the progress you make in the beta is saved for the when the retail version is released, right?

Yeah, does someone around here know how Xseed was able to get to publish Solatorobo in America?

Seems the only new games coming out for 360 these days are the Arcade ones.I should stock up on Microsoft points to avoid abandoning my 360.

Yes you should.

Meetings all morning with my British and American counterpart, Why the hell we had to discuss weather is beyond me.

Talking about weather is the common thing in the world. Everyone does it when someone want to start a conversation about nothing at all that suddenly ends up in something like the meaning of life or serious topics, pretty amazing stuff if you think about it.

Also, here's a TV Tropes link about this: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TalkAboutTheWeather

[serious post]FFIX for the world and character building. FFT for the overall plot. FFX-2 for the best version of the job system yet.[/serious post]

Serious posts are the best posts.

i'd have to disagree. ive played FF 5 and 6 and think they are inferior to everything that came after them

OK, wait a minute. You are saying that Final Fantasy VIII was better than VI? D:
4875  Media / Single-Player RPGs / Re: Xenoblade + The Last Story on: June 29, 2011, 11:48:29 PM
I wonder why we can get Sin & Punishment 2 released outside of Japan (which was a miracle) but not Xenoblade?

I mean, I've never thought for a moment seeing a copy of S&P2 in my store, like, in a million years. And they bring it, but they can't do it with Xenoblade or The Last Story? (Xenoblade being already translated and all that) Yeah never say never, but still, this doesn't change the fact that there's so many inconsistencies with the release of games with Nintendo systems that is not even funny at this point.

Hell, I saw a thread on NeoGAF a few days ago with lists of "big" games not released by region. Crazy stuff.
